I recommend not to go to the restaurant. On a public holiday, we booked ahead. They politely said they should be able to “fit us in” We got dressed up and took the one hour drive. When we arrive, they are in fact very quiet. The woman there told us to hurry up and order as the staff are waiting. This made us feel a little uncomfortable. But none the less, we hurry and go to order with on a minute from being given the menu. And then a young gentleman at the desk was just plainly rude to us. To the point we suggested it might be better if we just leave which he agreed on - I was there with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. The rudeness was another level. Looks like a cool place to take the kids. But don’t eat at the restaurant. Rudeness should not be tolerated by any venu.

A surprise to find but a great spot for families and food. The tour was really informative and fun. The play area for the kids including the water park was perfect. They are making a difference to a lot of people's lives. Keep up the great work.

I travelled from Tweed Heads to visit Summerland and was so impressed! A beautiful location! A gem 💎 in Alstonville 🌳 My 5-year-old and I loved the paddock feeding experience, meeting the goats, cows, sheep and donkeys, and we also enjoyed the farm tractor tour with Sean. Hearing about the history of Summerland and how it was established to create meaningful employment and opportunities for people living with disability was particularly special.

Friendly staff. Good food but need more kitchen staff so everyone in a group can get their meals and eat together at the same time. Took nearly ½ hour from 1st person in a group of 11 being served to the last. This meant the first had finished eating 15-20 minutes before the last person served their meal.

Lovely place, didn’t get to go to the restaurant that looks really lovely. We had a scone from the cafe and cuppa, only down fall was the cream for the scone was really hard.

Had such a lovely day at Summerland House! From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can really see how much they value and support their staff, and it creates such a positive atmosphere. We had lunch at the restaurant and everything was delicious. The sweet treats were hard to resist, and the prices were very reasonable. There was plenty to keep us entertained too. The kids loved the water park, playground and feeding the animals, and the working farm tour was really interesting. We also spent ages looking around the gift shop, which had so many lovely things. It's one of those places that's great for all ages. We'll definitely be back and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed day out.

Shop smelled amazing, definitely tempted us to make a purchase. Staff were friendly and shared their flavours with us. We got the chocolate chip packet for $5 (quite a big pack of 8-10 big cookies). unfortunately did not find it to be amazing, but would be back to try the other flavours as they seem to have great reviews, and have a tour around the kitchen!

Great place to visit when in the Ballina, Byron Bay area, we found all sorts of goodies in the farm shop, are a huge garden area to walk around and stretch the legs or let the kids go free range, noice spot and worth the visit.
