Buyer beware. We had replaced our entire A/C system after the hurricane last year. The installation failed inspection by the city 3 times before they charged me more to do it according to code. I spent over $11,000 and afterwards it still couldn’t keep temp. Three weeks ago we requested our FREE annual maintenance only to find yesterday when they came out that there was a Freon leak on our brand new unit. The technician didn’t finish the maintenance check since he said it needed to repaired by another tech. The office called and said that our warranty expired a week ago and that the service call would be $400. Needless to say, we are not going to hire these crooks. They are the only ones to touch this system since they installed it and we now have problems. Unacceptable. Don’t use Arctic Air unless you want to get screwed. Oh, by the way, the owner won’t take any calls. He just avoids his own customers.

Hi Chris
Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the issue with your system.
To clarify the warranty: You have our standard warranty, which includes 10 years for parts and 1 year for labor. Since the system is just past the one-year labor period, the associated labor cost in the estimate is accurate.
However, as a gesture of goodwill to our valued customers, we will cover the labor cost for the initial leak check. Please be advised that the labor cost for the actual leak repair, once the source is detected, will be your responsibility. This we need to be paid in full before parts and repair have been ordered and repaired.
The good news is that your 10-year parts warranty remains fully active.
For your peace of mind, we have documentation from the installation confirming the system was completely sealed and holding pressure at the time of install.
Once we determine which part is leaking, we would be happy to help you pursue reimbursement from the manufacturer. They typically require a paid invoice for the repair work performed on the defective part before they review a claim.
We suggest calling the manufacturer to obtain a claim number now so they are aware of the issue.
Please feel free to give us a call if you have any additional questions.
