⭐ Review: Surgery Center of Coral Gables LLC / Surgery Center of South Florida They don’t even deserve one star. My wife trusted this place with her vision, and the experience has been nothing short of shocking. Before surgery, she spoke with at least four different doctors — and unbelievably, every single one gave her a different explanation of what her eye problem supposedly was. There was no consistency, no clarity, and absolutely no confidence in their diagnosis. After the surgery, my wife still has the exact same issue she went in with. Nothing improved. Nothing changed. And instead of taking responsibility or offering real support, this clinic treats patients like they’re an inconvenience. Trying to speak with someone is a nightmare. Their customer service blocks you at every turn, denies your requests to speak with a doctor, and acts like you’re bothering them for simply wanting answers about your own health. The level of disrespect is unreal. What’s worse is the dishonesty. These doctors look you in the face and tell you whatever they need to say in the moment, even when it contradicts what the previous doctor said. It feels careless, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable for a medical facility. My wife only did one eye here — and thank God for that. We will absolutely be going somewhere else, somewhere competent, for the second surgery. And to make matters even worse, after my wife paid every dollar owed on the day of the surgery, they are now sending “first,” “second,” and “third” notices demanding payment for a balance that was already paid in full. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially from a medical facility. Shame on you, Surgery Center of Coral Gables LLC. Shame on you, Surgery Center of South Florida. Antes de la cirugía, habló con al menos cuatro doctores diferentes —y, sorprendentemente, cada uno le dio una explicación distinta sobre cuál supuestamente era su problema ocular. No hubo consistencia, ni claridad, ni mucho menos confianza en su diagnóstico. Después de la cirugía, mi esposa sigue exactamente con el mismo problema con el que llegó. Nada mejoró. Nada cambió. Y en lugar de asumir responsabilidad o brindar apoyo real, esta clínica trata a los pacientes como si fueran una molestia. Intentar hablar con alguien es una pesadilla. Su servicio al cliente te bloquea en cada intento, niega tus solicitudes para hablar con un doctor y actúa como si estuvieras incomodándolos simplemente por querer respuestas sobre tu propia salud. El nivel de falta de respeto es increíble. Lo peor es la falta de honestidad. Estos doctores te miran a la cara y te dicen lo que sea en el momento, incluso cuando contradice lo que dijo el doctor anterior. Se siente descuidado, poco profesional y totalmente inaceptable para un centro médico. Mi esposa solo se operó un ojo aquí —y gracias a Dios fue solo uno. Para la segunda cirugía definitivamente iremos a otro lugar, uno verdaderamente competente. Y para empeorar aún más las cosas, después de que mi esposa pagó hasta el último dólar el mismo día de la cirugía, ahora están enviando avisos de “primer,” “segundo” y “tercer” cobro exigiendo un pago por un saldo que ya está completamente pagado. Este nivel de desorganización es inaceptable, especialmente viniendo de un centro médico. Qué vergüenza, Surgery Center of Coral Gables LLC. Qué vergüenza, Surgery Center of South Florida. Los pacientes merecen honestidad, profesionalismo y atención médica real —no este caos.

Terrible office This office is terrible. They confirmed the appointment 11 times. I checked in ahead of time. Waited over an hour and 10 minutes from scheduled time and was never called. They processed co pay at checkin and never said thry were running over an hour behind. Avoid this office. You deserve better.

FIRST OF ALL I DONT WANT A THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS TO OUR ATTENTION. IF ARAN EYE ASSOCIATES IS GOING TO READ THIS THAN RESPOND. THIS IS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR 3 WEEKS - YES 3 WEEKS - MESSAGE AFTER MESSAGE AND NO ONE WILL CALL BACK OR ANSER THE EXTENSIONS. NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON WITH SURGERY APPT. LIKE MY WORLD HAS TO REVOLVE AROUND THESE PEOPLE. I NEED A DATE !!! IF YOU ARE A PLANNER TO NOT GO TO THIS OR ANY PLACE. THEY HAVE A CALL CENTER - NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE IN THE OFFICE. SOOOO DONE. On February 20, 2025 I kept my appointment as always. But on this particular day it was different. The attitude with a couple of the staff members; not all of them; was very disrespectful and nasty. After I completed my consultation with the Doctor; located at Aran Eye Associates at 2550 S. Douglas Rd in Coral Gables, Florida 33134; I ask the lady that was supposed to have given me instructions "When will my appointment be for my cataract surgery?" Because the Doctor did order it; her exact response was "I Don't Know; Bye!" I responded; "Thank You!" She said it again "Bye!" I don't know this lady; and don't know why she was so mean and hostile. But! She is not a Professional; and made the entire office look bad. If she had a bad day that's the wrong way to handle whatever it was that made her take it out on me, and she gave me a attitude. Now when I go to my appointments for the Othalmalogist I feel as though I should keep my guards up and not feel so comfortable anymore. There's an old saying that goes like this: Treat Others The Way You Want To Be Treated. Anybody that's a Public Servant should always maintain self-control even with people they don't like. I hope everyone have a good day everyday. The reason I gave three stars because the Doctor was nice and didn't seem to have a attitude.

Dr. Julibeth Alvarez MD, did surgery on my right eye (08/27/24) at Eye Care and Surgery of Coral Gables, she did a great job. I am very pleased and her assistant Miladys were very kind, thank you so much.

The service here sucks. In January 2024 I had a emergency office visit with Dr. Mario Rojas and he scheduled me for cataract surgery. I have not heard anything from the scheduling department and It is impossible to get through to any of the numbers and extensions that I was given. NO ONE ANSWERS. I am literally left on hold for hours. I have left over ten messages and no one has return my call.

Mi reciente experiencia fue excelente , muy profesionales todos y muy amorosos! , El Dr Masvidal Un amor y todos en General! Lo más lindo es tener un corazón agradecido y el que mal le va es por desobediencia a no hacer lo indicado y hay que dar amor para recibirlo igual con respecto! Gracias a todosssss y Dios los siga usando 🙏❤️

This place is absolute TRASH. My grandmother went in for a lasik surgery on her eye. AFTER the surgery they advise her the drops that should have been used PRIOR to the surgery arrived. Then they advise her they sent a prescription for post surgery drops to the pharmacy. When my grandmother arrives to the pharmacy, she’s told the prescription wasn’t sent. She called this office and they were sorry it really Wasn’t sent but they would be sending it while She was there. Her vision is exactly the same and her eye was not repaired. This place takes advantage of seniors and is 1000% running a fraudulent office. Funny how they ONLY RESPOND TO 5 STAR RATINGS. MEDICAID/MEDICARE FRAUD sounds more like it.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Aran. I was overcharged when I had a procedure and I have been trying to speak to someone in the billing department since January. Every time I have called, the customer service representatives are not allowed to transfer the phone calls to any department, nor give me their extension or e mail so I can communicate directly with the person. Other times that I have called, nobody answers the phone. When I have mentioned this to different employees, they agree that customers do not receive a phone call back. I've heard other customers complaining about the same situation and when I've tried to speak to someone in the corporate office to let them know about these things, the representatives cannot give that information. I personally have never seen this lack of professionalism. The doctors and nurses are excellent but when it comes to speak to someone in billing department, is a waste of time. Before my procedure I called several times to speak to the billing department and they never returned my phone call, nor checked my deductible with the insurance company. This situation could have been avoided since the beginning if the person would have done her job.

The receptionist at this place screammmmssss of the top of her lungs your private information in front of everyone, she made my poor dad that’s 72 years old look like a fool For leaving his insurance card. It was so embarrassing. Why is this lady so cruel. Please do something. This is not the first time I come to this place and she’s always so nasty to this elderly people. Please have more respect for them. Most of them are sweet and already scared to be there. Someone need to read this and talk to to this lady. Please. Also I have to add that everyone else was awesome and sweet. This is why I am changing my review to 3 stars , but is very important some one talks to this lady, ir brakes my heart the faces of this sweet old people when she embarrassed them so cruel.
