I don't know if the bald, fat man sitting in your red truck with the phone number for this company displayed along the bottom of the door, yelling obscenities at my friend and I earlier tonight at the little Speedway in Norwich (specific details so that you may recall them later) was the owner of this delighful establishment or an employee but that is *super* classy. Don't know if he was high or drunk or feeling particularly feisty tonight, but I can't even begin to imagine the quality of work y'all do if that's the quality of people you employ.
For the record, bald fat man, we weren't looking at you. We were having a conversation, and I was talking to my friend while I pumped gas. I wouldn't even have noticed you sitting in your truck if it weren't for the yelling obscenities thing, and I know it was directed at us because when I did finally realize you were yelling and looked at you, you looked me in my face and flipped me off. Again, *super* classy.
Also for reference, upstate really isn't the kind of place you want to be yelling at random strangers. Most of 'em up here are good ol' boys with guns in the cab of their trucks.
Good luck with all that.
Look out! Our COOP received a price quote and signed a contract with Apple Restoration and Waterproofing for $179K (sans tax). NYC permits were registered, the sidewalk bridge was put up and the swing scaffolding was installed. THEN the change orders started flowing in - 4 in all. The final job cost came to $247K (sans tax). $68K over the estimate - a 37% increase. We did receive an $11K discount for the sidewalk shed that was installed too high thus Apple having to install secondary pipe scaffolding to finish the job - 2 months over the scheduled completion date. Yes, the change orders were signed off on - our choice was to trust Apple or live in fear of future facade problems. Before the job was complete, fractures started showing up in some of the brand new window sills and balconies that Apple restored. Apple did return to patch up the new cracks. Some invoices were misdated. Some appointment times were not kept. “Unforeseen conditions” is an age-old contractor’s creed. Hold onto your wallets!
This business is an absolute menace to the families and lives of the people
who live on this block, and show zero accountability towards keeping the peace. For some reason, they feel the need to attach a shrieking “car-alarm” type alarm to their building (71 Jefferson), which goes off on and off all night long for no visible reason. This has been going on for years now, attempts to contact them have been ignored. Tonight alone it has gone off at least 8 times. This speaks highly of their character (or lack thereof) as a business, and I would suggest you take yours elsewhere, as people that would allow a community to be harassed in this way should not be allowed to stay in it.
