When my friends told me of their terrible conveyancing experiences, I couldn’t understand how an industry could be so inept. That is until I instructed Ismail at apex law. Nothing about his service proved in anyway good. Each email required multiple phone calls to get a response, each phone call required several attempts to get through and often the only way to speak to his team was to be put through to another team and transferred, and when I did finally get responses to my queries they were normally unsatisfactory and hard to understand.
Every time I called I was told I would get a call back and never did. Every time I was told a bit of work would be done by a certain time, it wasn’t.
Often the estate agent would be told one delay and I another, and so we would have weekly check-ins to establish the next thing required for us to chase Ismail.
Instruction to completion took 6 months, and this was largely due to Apex’s lack of pro activity. This was the most I have ever spent on a given service and is, without doubt, the worst level of service I have ever received

We thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that your experience with Apex Law was not to your expectations and whilst we take all feedback on board, we feel compelled to respond to some of the comments you have made.
We can see from our file that there was frequent communication via email and telephone with Ismail and his team. The matter had title defects that needed to be rectified along with a last minute price change conducted by you, which meant your offer also had to be amended which was delayed by your lender’s processing team through no fault of Ismail, his team or this firm.
All of these issues were explained to you in numerous phone calls and email correspondence and can be evidenced from the file. As for the duration of the matter, you have claimed that it took 6 months when in fact it took 4, which considering the issues that were faced and the Christmas Break in between meant the matter was dealt with well within the national averages for a leasehold transaction.
We do however appreciate that you do not feel your experienced reached your expectations, and will ensure this feedback is passed onto the relevant team for consideration.

Phil took me on as a client half way through my sale/purchase following a bad experience with my previous solicitors. I was worried I wouldn't get a great service as a result. However, Phil (and team) has been extremely responsive, communicative, personable and empathetic - all the while remaining professional.
Phil also had to deal with my first purchase falling through and spent a long time discussing things with me outside of office hours and developing a relationship as well - I really appreciated that given I was devastated at the time (albeit things happen for a reason and I've got a much nicer place now!)
Phil's given good advice throughout (without obvi overstepping the mark). All in all, it's been a very pleasant experience having Apex Law handling my sale and purchase and I've been put at ease during what is a stressful situation.

Very bad Firm.
Specially Ismail.
Very Slow , Lazy , ignorer and Busy firm .
I was calling nearly everyday for about 2 weeks During the Hottest time of the deal and very near the Deadline of the Deal from Auction to Talk and discuss With ISMAIL ,
He was never replying his phone .
He is very relaxed, he doesn’t care if the client is in emergency situation.
He’s not very helpful at the time of the NEEDS .
In one day, I called about 5 times to speak with Ismail.
receptionist said she passed my messages to Ismail , he ll call you. When he has a chance..
He did not even return my calls.
He replies the emails very slow .
We had to push and remind him to reply the emails of the Bank.
I have even made an attempt to complain about Ismail to the manager or Director of the firm.
Receptionist advised me, that ISMAIL is one of the Director himself.
No point.
It was very painful
I am not happy from their service, especially Ismail.
Please try your best to find a better SOLICITOR to cooperate, advise and help you at the time your needs.
I will never advise you to hire this firm.

Two errors in legal paperwork.
In 2020, I extended my lease using Apex Law as the solicitor's firm. Unfortunately, when I went to remortage in 2021 it was found that the wording of the document Apex Law submitted to the Land Registry was wrong and had to be amended, which I had to pay half of the cost. Now I am trying to sell my flat, it has been found that Apex Law included the wrong wording in the lease document and this has jeopardised my sale. I have emailed Apex Law about the matter & received no response. I would advise people to avoid this firm.

Apex law is recommended by the Auction that I bought my house from. They are the worse firm I have ever dealt with. I have been emailing and calling Ismail to get update from my house paperwork during the process which is my right. He wouldn’t return not only my phone calls but my email too. Ismail bring you nightmares if you hire them and will lose a lot of money like me. Even he was asking twice the same document that I sent. He was irresponsible and don’t care people are expecting to get done their job. So, the bank called me several times that Ismail is not replying their emails. Asking me to call him and to reply the bank email. He is the worse and I wish I couldn’t meet Ismail. I highly recommend to think twice before hiring Apex Law.
