Awesome instructors specifically Melissa Manning. Our kids have been with Anselmo for over 10 yrs and all three of them love it. They all played in many recitals which they loved especially the yearly one at Lincoln Center in NYC. Our instruction was always top notch as we do the weekly private lessons. First of all I love the name of this business since it's unique and stands out. I had an opportunity to meet professional educators who helped build this place and create incredible learning environment. Their videos all over social media are truly amazing and students sound terrific. USA needs more facilities like Anselmo academy to help students achieve highest level of learning and get ready for auditions, competitions, and other performance activities coming their way.

Since its first days, Anselmo Academy of Music & The Arts, formerly known as The Piano School of NYC, has been dedicated to providing excellent Music Education opportunities to students in many different communities throughout the city via accessible and affordable Group Classes in School Programs, customized Private Lessons and special Annual Recital performances. With the help of our fantastic and talented Teachers and committed Administration, twenty years later the organization has grown to provide many Scholarships to students in need in underserved communities, add enrichment programs to more areas, create additional performance opportunities, continue Jazz at Lincoln Center Honors Recitals and expand from Piano Lessons to include additional instruments, Theatre and Arts instruction, tutoring help and more. It is wonderful as a Musician and Teacher, to help my students grow through our study of Music together while helping other students in NYC and beyond to have Arts and Music Education in their lives through our Scholarship fundraising contributions. Now more than ever, we need the positive and inspiring power of Music and to connect with one another in a safe and healthy way. Until we can again safely gather at Piano Classes and Recitals, our video lessons have been a fantastic option for my Piano Students and many families we work with and provide a joyful part of each week during remote learning. My daughter takes piano lessons here. The teachers are great and we love that she can showcase what she has learned each year with performance recitals. I have followed the progress of formerly known company “The Piano School of New York” for years. Formerly musician myself, I am so impressed by incredible dedication of the founder Vera Anselmo and the teachers to spreading love for music. Such a simple idea, all kids should be exposed to art and music, but in a long run it helps to develop more culturally educated rounded generation of young people.

This is a great music school. If you are looking for a music lessons, look no more. We offer private lessons in piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, and voice. This is my 10th year working for this school as a piano teacher. If you’re a beginner, you’ll have a great experience because teachers are really enthusiastic and very patient. The school embraces all methods and styles of music. I am able teach my lessons on the highest level and the Anselmo Academy allows me to give the best classes without restricting which music books I use. We specialize in beginners and also teach very advanced music students and everyone in between. I have taught celebrities like Aretha Franklin and the same system and techniques are taught to all of my students.

It has been a pleasure to have my son receive piano lessons from the Anselmo Academy of Music and the Arts. During the past 5 years, his artistic talents have grown tremendously under the guidance and support of his teachers at the Anselmo Academy. He has benefitted from both in-person lessons and remote-instruction sessions. This past summer, he really enjoyed participating in an online Musical Theater Camp that was offered by the Anselmo Academy in which he was introduced to various genres of the Arts.
