Be careful — the wet tissues, peanut and tidbits placed on the table are not complimentary and will be charged. We only found out when the bill arrived, and this should have been explained clearly in advance. Also, several waiters were standing close to our table watching in our direction while we were eating, which made us feel uncomfortable. However the food was good.
We had a very disappointing experience, largely due to the service from the manager, Yvonne Huan.
When we asked for menu recommendations, she came across as impatient and spoke to us rudely. For example, when we asked about the spiciness of a squid dish, she simply said “it’s like sweet and spicy,” which didn’t clearly answer the question and felt dismissive.
More concerning was that our order was not followed correctly. My father specifically requested a Teochew-style snapper with the chilli served on the side due to dietary preferences. However, the dish arrived incorrectly, with a huge bowl of chilli instead of a small bowl which my father asked for. Instead a small bowl of soy sauce came instead. When we tried to clarify, she immediately insisted we had ordered it differently and refused to properly hear us out, instead becoming defensive. To be specific, she insisted “everyone heard you. You said this.” FYI, only our family and Yvonne was at the table during ordering. Who else would have heard it wrongly except for her? And is that really the right tone ?
Additionally, her overall professionalism was lacking—she rarely checked on tables and appeared disengaged from service throughout our visit.
This was our first meal in KL, and unfortunately it left a very negative impression, especially as it was meant to be a birthday celebration.
Makanan okay tp jangan percaya org lain utk park your car. I've attend a company dinner, bila masuk perkarangan restaurant tu ada org suruh turun kereta dan dia akan properly park your car sbb susah parking, dah jam dan etc. Bayar utk rm15 and tahu2 kena saman sebab mereka park merata. Lol. Sangat irresponsible ya please ambil tindakan! So saman siapa nak bayar ni
Overall was quite good except the fish. We ordered marble goby fish but it not like the authentic goby, the meat wasn't springy and bouncy just like the texture is not right.
This place quite near Pavilion, food is good with very nice decor. Recommended.
I attended my company dinner at this restaurant yesterday and used the parking/jockey service provided.
Firstly, the staff repeatedly told customers “Parking RM10, tips suka hati.” While I understand that tips are optional, constantly bringing it up felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I paid the required RM10 parking fee as instructed.
More importantly, after collecting my car, I discovered that it had been issued a RM150 saman because it was parked illegally by the parking staff at the roadside. This is extremely irresponsible. I paid for the parking service and trusted that my vehicle would be parked properly and legally.
Regardless of whether the parking attendants are directly employed by the restaurant or outsourced to a third party, the service was offered on your premises. As a customer, I believe the restaurant management should take responsibility for what happened.
That said, I would like to highlight that the food was delicious and amazing. The seafood was very fresh, and the cooking skills were excellent. The staff inside the restaurant were helpful and attentive. The dining hall was slightly warm, possibly due to the doors frequently opening and closing, but it was still manageable.
Overall, the food was really good and I’m willing to give the restaurant a second chance. However, I will not be using the restaurant’s parking service again.
