Quality has diminished greatly.
I have been using America's best for the past 5 years and the quality was good till now. Both myself and my girl friend have been very unhappy with the quality of the glasses we have received within the past six months. I have currently gone back to my old pair from 2023 because the new glasses have been so bad. The smear resistant coating has been worthless They scratch very easily, And the transition leans is absolutely useless compared to my older set. I get such a glare of the new lenses i fell like i need a pair of sunglasses. I when in to the store to complain and was told i should have paid for a warranty. Of witch i didn't purchase because in the past the quality was never and issue and I'm very carful with my glasses. as a result after only 3 months I'm forced to get another pair that I will be getting elsewhere good by America's worst will never due business with them again. To think how many people I recommended to go their. I have since advised all of them not to go back.
I had an appointment today that I made a few months back. I come to my appointment early and was told I had no appointment. I explained that I did and the girl got rude with me. I asked about Optimum insurance and she said no. She then told me to go across the street to Optimart that they will take my insurance. So I did just that. The girl behind the counter was so polite and nice. I made an appointment and she said she would put me on the cancellation list list. After going to America's Best for several years I found a place where I feel comfortable with after going to Opti mart.
Very poor customer service and discrimination against the customers. Filed a complaint with their customer services regarding an employees named ******* in the *******, ** store. Called back on January 3rd to inquire on my order, the same person picked up and my glasses mysteriously disappeared. Received no response from the customer service department and I still do not have my glasses.
Staten Island Hylan Boulevard store. Do not go. Had a problem with my glasses and they refuse to help. Customer service is horrible. You go there and you’re wasting your money. Twice I use them and twice I have problems with my glasses and the second time they told me there’s nothing that they could do. I only had the glasses for two weeks. I can’t even look through them, wasted money. Stay away from this store. Go somewhere else. It’s a Mickey Mouse store.
I decided to go to America's Best because they advertise the best prices. After going I don’t plan to return after finishing my process. I had to go for the exam then the next week for a follow up contact class which they did not have the contacts I needed. The next week I had to get the contacts. Well being my first time wearing them I lost one and called to get a replacement and they tell me 2 weeks to get one contact in. This was just too much. They should be stocked on supplies for customers. I should not have to go to the eye doctor every week for a month or longer.
I have been going to America's Best in Westminster for ten years and this was my last time. They are doing virtual exams now. Went through the normal tests when I arrived in all about 30 minutes. Then an hour wait to see the virtual doctor, only two people were ahead of me. So it’s been 1.5 hours and now I’m in the chair, 25 minutes later the doctor logs in, 10 my items later in infront of the technician explaining that one pair should be for computer and one for distance. She said we only have one prescription, I’m like how is that possible, the tech tested both pairs I brought in, talked to her about the distance to my computer and even the doctor stated the prescriptions should help with the eye strain. Now 2 hrs and ten minutes I said I wasn’t waiting to go back in to the doctor, they in messaged the doctor but couldn’t give me a time when he would respond. I told them this was the most inefficient setup and where was the human aspect. So I told them I was done and I’ll find a new doctor and told them to toss my file I’ll never be back. Talk about cold, profit driven big business. They said we can measure the glasses now and when they get the prescription figured out I could call in and pay. No potential to mess that up right. Sometimes it’s better to pay more for a business you trust.
I set up the appointment online for the 2 glasses for $79.99 and free eye exam. I explained I wear contacts but didn’t want a contact appointment. The doctor did both for me. The doctor also suggested my 11 year old gets contacts. I was unaware that by the doctor suggesting it she was charging me to do a contacts appointment/prescription as well. I was charged an extra $125 for me and $125 for my daughter to “join the club.” I never agreed to that charge. I was expecting to only pay $79.99 for my daughter and $79.99 for me. The salesperson charged around $220 first. I added blue light resistant to my glasses and my daughter’s glasses so the price seemed right. Then she gave me another bill for me. I am appalled by the sales experience. When I explained to the salesperson that by the way only speaks Spanish she said that the prices should have been discussed when I checked in and that it has nothing to do with her. I explained that I created the appointment online addressing that I only wanted a glasses appointment/prescription. I’m super unsatisfied. I spent over $400 instead of $160.
I attempted to order my contacts and it took SEVEN calls in 10 days with SIX promises for a call back. When I finally got through, I had over an hour wait time on the phone. When a "manager" (the only one with any authority in the store) finally came to the phone he was unable to fulfill or honor published promises, advertising and/or pricing. I asked to speak to the store manager and was told she is off for 3 days and the assistant manager is out for more (they were unclear on when he/she would return). I asked for the number for the regional and/or general manager and was refused that as "they do not give the public their phone number or any other contact information". Corporate has still not responded to my inquiry. Businesses like this should not get away with not being required to deliver on published advertisements meant to get people in the door and then change their policies and published promises. Horrible customer service and very poor business practices!! Obviously, the many poor ratings confirm this. There are other, much better choices for eye care!!
I recently had an eye exam at America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses (Montgomery village, MD Location), and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. After our exam their staff (Miriam **and Sha) provide us detailed about our insurance coverage that help with Finding the Perfect Frames. During this process we came across Insurance issue and Miriam jump in right away and resolved it and also showed us alternatives when we look for right match for glasses of our need. Special Thanks to Miriam ** and Sha for Finding the Perfect Frames, Resolving Insurance Issues, and Making Our Visit Exceptional! Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this clinic. The appointment was well-organized, and I left feeling confident about my vision and eye health. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a knowledgeable and friendly eye care provider!
Showed up 15 minutes prior to my 3:15 appointment. I was informed this was a remote appointment and was told by staff in the building that corporate overbooks them. They told me that at best they can do 2 remotes an hour because of waiting for doctors on the webcam queue. Because 10 doctors work a TON of locations. They are told to schedule 4 an hr and people can cancel if they don't want to wait. It took over 4 hours from start to finish. Next time I'll bring a snack bar.
Happy holidays, good afternoon, I am really very angry with your company, I bought my glasses with you a few months ago, the customer service at this branch is terrible, none of them has empathy with the customers, horrible, I already left mine once because they broke, it took them 14 days to give them to me again, a week later they broke again, I go and they tell me they have no more warranty, ok I paid a total of 250 dollars for the glasses, they are very ordinary and I am really tired, I want my money back, I will call my card to have them returned to me, I will send an email to you, consumer protection, and I will put up all the reviews I can, you sell poor quality, you charge very expensive, it is a scam for the customers, I want my money, you cannot scam the customers in this way.
I ordered my glasses in store in Bakersfield CA Ming Ave store. I WAS ASSURED, my glasses would arrive before Christmas, they the timeliness should have had my glasses yesterday. Today I called and was told they have not arrived yet and maybe I they would be delivered on Monday. MAYBE! Since they are closed Thursday and Wednesday... If They don't arrive Monday, I won't be able to see Christmas...
First of all, I walked in and waited 25 minutes before anyone greeted me. I got someone’s attention and told her I was there for my 230 appointment if anyone needed to know and the response was “You’re good”. I’ve then proceeded to wait until 350 to be seen by the doctor. I then went out to purchase my two pairs of glasses for 229 as advertised all over the wall and was told that one pair of glasses was going to be $300. The bait and switch is ridiculous. This company is a scam and if you go there, you only have yourself to blame. After waiting for two hours and the groceries in my car completely ruined (I was told my appt would take 10 minutes) as well as being lied to about the price of the glasses and being ignored by a sales person, I was made to pay $69 for the eye exam that I waited two hours for and lied to about the true price of the glasses. I will be reporting them to multiple agencies as well as having my husband talk about it on his nationally syndicated radio show so that everyone in the country will know about America’s Best and their scam to fool the public. Shout out to the general manager at the Bluffton location for being so kind and understanding. I can’t imagine that she would wanna work there for much longer given all that she’s seen.
Had an issue with my left eye seeing clearly, To these people about it, had an eye exam and the Dr, said, "Yes your left eye is weak." Bought 2 pair of new glasses. About a month later, I noticed no difference in my left eye. Went back and explained my issue, was told because of your cataracts that is the best they can do. I said my old eyeglasses are the same as my new ones, why would they want me to purchase $300 of new glasses that aren't any better than my old glasses? This review is for the Surprise Az location
