American Airlines Charlotte, NC gave away our seats while we were in line to board costing us thousands of dollars for hotels, rental cars and flight fees we had already paid. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND FLYING AMERICAN!

Thank you for delaying my flight both ways. The way back had to spend the night at the airport on wonderful airport chairs with a 6-year-old child. The nasty attitude from the representatives was great too. I understand that it’s all my fault that you guys suck. The best part about it that I paid for 1st class, so I guess that was the best that could be delivered for the money paid.

I've flown alot in my 66 years. American Airlines is ok, until they have a problem like we experienced today. My wife, our son and his girlfriend were coming back from Argentina on AA, first to Miami, then connection to Washington DC. The 1st Argentina flight got delayed and that's when all the fun started. Flights get delayed sometimes, I/we get that. But when that happens with AA, God help you. We were booked on the next AA flight to WDC, but on standby with 30 other people. We got to the gate, saw the standby list and our names were on it but separated from each other. My wife 4, me 17, son 18 and girlfriend 20. I ask how they picked standby. Got a gruff response to just wait until everyone was boarded and they would call names for standby. I ask if I could just book rebook us all on a later flight with known availability as our sin and girlfriend are young and she had never flown before this trip. Again gruff/nasty with no answers to any questions, just repeating what she Saud before, wait until names called. We decided to wait and if it did not work out we'd see what other better options there might be. We have dogs at home and the house sitter had to go to another job this morning so could not wait too long. We'll, they called my wife, son and I and left the one who couldn't be left off. When we tried to see if we could swap one of us staying behind for the girlfriend (a different but equally nasty woman) said yes, but then proceeded to give two of the seats to others on standby. I took the remaining seat to come home for the dogs while my wife worked issues there. I was able to get all our luggage and am in a cab heading home. Looks like my wife might get on a flight soon and our son and his girlfriend sometime latter getting to WDC about 9pm vs the original 11am. Horrible. It was AAs fault we missed our connecting flight. After it happens you're just screwed. AAs ability to take care of its passengers after AA messes up is extraordinarily bad.

I write this review because I am in the service industry (owner of a catering company), so I know it's important to hear the good! My husband and I traveled from Boston to Aspen on 7/13 via American. We had to drop a car in Central Parking for our son who was coming in from Denver the following day. Unfortunately, although we are seasoned travelers, we underestimated the time to check our bag, and missed the 40 minute deadline. What to do? Rick, at the Special Service Desk for AAdvantage members told us we could leave the bag in our car and get on the flight, or miss it. (On no!) Then, quickly, I might add, he looked to see if there were any other flights, and lo and behold, there was one, an hour later. He told us it was rare that there was room on this flight, but many of the 4th of July travelers had filled up the flights the week before. We were SO GRATEFUL for his efforts. He was very polite and made this happen, so that we were able to have a cup of coffee and wait just an hour for the next flight. Awesome customer service! Also, the team at security and at the gate were professional and nice. We found this for all of our AA Flights. Terminal B at Logan has been renovated and has that nice, brand new feeling with lots of plugs to charge our devices, Boston memorabilia, and plenty of bathrooms and places to get food. I would also like to commend Rita the flight attendant on our flight from Denver to Aspen. I know her primary role is our safety, but I'm telling you, her flight safety instructions were a great theatrical performance, so much so that we actually listened. I told her so, and she told us she was in banking before this position, and was obviously more invested in this job! She was grateful for the feedback. Both of our flights were quite smooth, even though the pilots said there would be bumps. I was really surprised when we landed in Aspen which can be tricky as you have to go down into a valley. Two things to note on our way home from Aspen to Dallas on July 18th: Another flight attendant, with beautiful long blond hair, was wearing some pretty sparkly jewelry. I remarked upon it and she said she hardly wears any at home. She said, "We have to look good!" (on the job). I loved her personal pride in her appearance and also how nice she was to us. In addition, when we got off our flight from Aspen to Dallas, there was a wheelchair attendant just waiting there for anyone who needed help. We needed it! My 88 year old Dad is compromised with walking and we had a tight connection to Boston. This man was so nice, taking Dad up and down elevators and on to the Sky Train, and through the terminal to the gate, where he was the first to board! We couldn't have made our connection without him! We are so grateful! Honestly, we couldn't have had a better experience. IOS REQUIREMENT Overnight this app became useless to me because the required update needs IOS 16.0. My phone is older yes but still useful for my needs. Phones are expensive luxuries and it shouldn’t be a requirement dictated by an airline what version I have to be able to see my reservations.

iPhone 7 no longer supported I was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out the day before a trip that my American Airlines mobile app no longer works on my older iPhone….. There are undoubtedly thousands of us out here who found out the hard way that American Airlines had effectively cut us off from their app with no notice whatsoever…..

Upgraded App not viable for older IPhones I am not able to load the app due to a required iOS 16.0 software requirement. This software version requirement is not downward compatible. How can that be! It violated any software development process that understands basic requirements of users of this app

Worst app ever Impossible to login! After filing up all the infos on there website I decided to log into the app! Impossible and I have been trying for 2 days. I even contacted the help center and their ma home is coming back with the same questions again and again. No way to move forward or to have a live assistance… not only their boeing that are falling apart…

As counterintuitive and frustrating as possible Have never written a review for anything, but this app is so awful that had to change. What’s more frustrating than flight delays / cancellations? An app that you have to constantly log in to the same account over and over again, fill out all details without utilizing your phones autofill feature, to only reach a server error at the end requiring you ti start from the beginning!
