Illustrations are not my cup of tea, but they are probably good for kids. The rhymes are catchy and engaging, making it a joy to read aloud with your kids. Of course, the story isn’t for older readers, there is no depth, characters, or nuance here, but if you have kids, this can be entertaining for them. Overall, despite minor flaws, storytelling and engaging illustrations are sure to delight young readers and parents alike. Give it a go!

The prefect children's book! Yay... It's My First Day of School is an amazing children's book that uses rhymes to connect with the reader. The illustrations were perfect that went along with the story. Whether its a first day of school or the last, this a great book for children to get rid of any jitters about going to school. Definitely one of the best children's books I've read in awhile. Highly recommended!

Great for young children While I was reading this I was wondering what age group this was for. I assumed it’s for grade school children but I could be wrong. This is great for young children who have some anxiety about going to school. The first day of school is nerve racking for young children and this book gives them a great example that it happens to everyone. I thought it would be cool if the text were on the actual pages with the images but maybe it appears that way for me since I read it on the kindle app. Something I appreciate about this book is that the children were very diverse. It also has a great rhyme scheme to help children remember as they read it.

Nice The spirit is there, yet I feel the book lacks enthusiasm. The words work well, yet, if it's to be a children's book, there needs to be more "pop" to the illustrations. Without a doubt, this is a great first attempt and released at the perfect time of the year. The author has written the book for his son, and so there is that special element to it. I encourage the positive energies from this author to continue and connect with young readers and their families across the country.
