Alpha Plus Dental on Harvard Street in Brookline has a wonderful, caring staff, both administrative and medical. I can honestly say that after going here for years for everything ranging from cleanings, fillings and basic consults, to complex crowns and even implants, I've never had a bad a experience. They were available in the off hours when I was bleeding. They were kind when I had questions and mentally available with care and patience when I wasn't. And perhaps best of all, their experience runs deep and transcends nations and generations. For example, my dentist, Dr Shuster, may be young, yet has the chairside manner and knowledge of a wise, well-traveled and experienced professor. I also believe one of her parents was a dentist in Germany, and her grandmother was ALSO a dentist in a different country before then! At least a couple of other nations' expertise is represented. Had the pleasure of working with Dr Kovtun, the owner, on a number of occasions and he's concise, clear and candid in ways few doctors (or people!) can be. The only downside at this this office is that they're quite busy; so plan ahead and come early, as they help a lot in emergencies and book out a bit at times. It'll be quality care when you're in your chair--as well as at the front desk--as this is basically a dental office with pretty epic skills that I've come to love.
