This is not the first issue I have had with Alliant Credit Union! My debit card was automatically sent out due to it expiring at end of month. I am made to have a physical address on the account but don't receive mail there and have a **** Box to receive mail. This is indicated on my account that no mail was to be sent to the physical address and all sent to **** Box! The new card was sent to the physical addresses because the system automatically sends them out to the physical address even though its in the account not to. If I had arranged this with and agent then they could have sent it to the **** Box. I travel for work and now if I order a new card due to their major mistake it will disable my current card that I need due to traveling for work! I will be changing credit unions because the agent I spoke to treated me as if she didn't give a **** about the situation! Do Not Use Alliant Credit Union!!!

Random $1,000 charge on my banking account. I've never worked with this bank, don't know who made the payment and find it ridiculous they took payment from a company checking account without running a background check on the individual. Apparently you can just open an account with them by giving them a random account # and they wont hassle you to confirm any security questions! THIS IS A GREAT BANK FOR CRIMINALS!!!

Been with this bank for 25 years, and absolutely terrible experiences with them that keep getting worse. Terrible customer service. Had insurance forced placed on a loan that has current coverage. Nobody from bank called for verification and has since adversely affected credit based on the increased loan amount to cover insurance. Waited on phone for 30 minutes after answering 6 or 7 questions to verify my identity. Agent came back on line and request to call me and have received no return phone call. Bank forces monetary actions on account and can't even contact them to dispute.

This is a terrible bank. Had a terrible experience while trying to open a CD at a good rate. They took the CD amount out of my bank then took additional $50,000 for a savings account. It has been a nightmare trying to get the money back to my bank account. They will not let me ACH transfer the money back to my account because they claim no more that $2500.00 for the first 30 days. ***** app is NOT user friendly. **************** was patient but not helpful. I think they must deal with angry customers daily, based on the reviews I see here. So sorry I only looked at the A+ rating and did not read the customer reviews. How can they have an A+ rating with such terrible reviews. My advice is to stay away, there are too many GOOD banks out there.

This credit union has illegally blocked me out of my own joint accounts without explanation. My debit card has been blocked and my online access has been denied because my husband made a call and asked you guys to do that? Without absolutely no legal documentation or court orders. He just made a call. And when i called customer service and asked for an explanation not only they gave me the run around game, trying to avoid answering what had really happened Also, one of the reps made me open more accounts to try to fix the problem i was having with accessing my joint accounts online and not having access to my online banking. All lies. they were always rude and told me that's how alliant works period. That's completely ILEGAL. I will resolve this with my attorney and hopefully recover my funds and never bank there again. I will make sure my review appears in all possible public sites.

Unfortunately I've experienced not only horrible customer "care" but also an inconvenience. I made an online deposit however this bank is holding my check for reasons saying I delinquency in payments. I never used my account for payments as I cant, since it's a savings account. Now they're saying my check will be released two weeks later. Be aware, this is a form of scam.

I was taken aback by the customer service I encountered today. The representative displayed condescension and a sense of chagrin, even laughing at my valid concerns within the given context. Despite the need for identity verification, which I understand, the process involved redundant questioning. This account, albeit secondary to my ***** Fargo and *********** accounts, serves its purpose for transactions. However, the lack of professionalism and understanding exhibited by the customer service team, especially in response to my dissatisfaction, leaves me compelled to suggest seeking a credit union that values customers without a hint of pretentiousness.

Horrible Bank and ************************* The rudest people I have ever spoken to. They do not care about their business, or they wouldn't talk **** to people. We financed our RV with them and after making one payment we paid it off as they said we owed more money than what we purchased it for. They owe us over $800 for gap insurance for almost 60 days and said it will take another 2 weeks. They are thieves and keeping our money that Lazy Days sent them. We call every week and get mixed stories every time. Somebody needs to keep them accountable. This is ridiculous and stealing. What can we do?

Hands down worst place I've ever done bussing with! They've taken money from 2 of my bank accounts multiple times and overdrafts my account. Then they'll stop nothing to rectify the situation! I've been almost 3 weeks trying to get the money I worked for! Still nothing today but sorry for the inconvenience and me knowing they could care less! I asked the lady wouldn't she be upset if it was her being treated that way and she said most definitely and still done nothing to help. I'll never do business with Alliant credit union again! I'll also make sure everyone I speak with knows how terrible they really are! Which their reviews said it all! That's why they have a 1.2 star rating! Wish I could give less than a star, because they aren't worth that!

Dishonest practices- Applied for HELOC and put "Home Improvements" as reason for taking out loan. Initially approved for $90,000. Jumped through every document hoop they required, setup checking/savings account (there's a fee), funded those accounts, and ordered appraisal (at outrageous price of $650.00. side note: I knew the appraiser and he doesn't get near that much- so pure profit for the bank). After appraisal I'm told they will not fund HELOC with house under construction even though that's why I applied. Delayed my project for a month and cost me $650 for a worthless appraisal. Do not do business with an institution that makes up the rules during the process! I'll never do anything with them again.

Went through Alliant's loan application process for a used car from a local dealership. Alliant initially extended a loan offer. Reasonable APR. Gave them all the necessary and highly sensitive information during the application process. Put money down at the dealership to reserve the car (non-refundable). Submitted the bill of sale which was the last document required to complete the application process. Next business day they tell me this dealership is not approved as they are a non-Franchised dealership and then denied my application at the 11th hour. Funnily enough a family member (who referred me to Alliant) also filled out a loan application for a different car at the same dealership and had no problem getting final approval. We both asked for the same loan amount and length and got the same APR. Difference being that my family member is an "Alliant member" (i.e. they've gotten a loan before through them) and extended this exception to them. The process was ultimately a waste of time and their business practice discriminatory. They pulled my credit unnecessarily. I should be able to get a loan no problem through another lender, but in the event I couldn't, I would be out the amount I put down to reserve the car. This was a very frustrating and confusing process with poor customer service. Also their website is extremely buggy. Do not have any kind words to say about Alliant.

The very worst bank I have ever dealt with. Tried to make a payment to them today and after 25 minutes on the phone and talking with a supervisor, whom I was told wasn't available until morning, I still wasn't able to make payment. Why? I couldn't be properly verified. They got my full name, address, social security,phone number, mothers maiden name. I asked what was the reason I couldn't be verified, asked 3 times, and then told them I needed a specific reason why. THE ANSWER? NOT ENOUGH INFO. I will be taking my business else where. BEWARE- Look elsewhere for your loan

Takes a week for deposited checks. Very inconvenient per we need our money right away. You should go to another credit union to cash your checks.

Their customer service is nonexistent. A deposit hold placed on one of my checks continues to exceed their stated hold period, and after multiple attempts to contact customer service, the best they could do was to send me their deposit policy copied and pasted glibly into their messaging service, which ironically states that my check should certainly been cleared by now. I intended to use this money to purchase a trailer home in the wake of a disaster, and the incompetence of the parasitea at ACU is keeping me homeless.

I want to let you know that this bank is the worst bank anyone can have since the customer service does not work, they have a bad attitude towards customers, it bothers them to help the customer, they do not solve anything for the customers, I had a problem with a transaction that I thought was fraudulent and They closed my Apple account and it has never worked again They told me lies so they wouldn't bother them At the moment they left me waiting in line for hours I don't think it's a good bank

A customer of ********************** has committed wire fraud against me and I have reached out to Alliant via the ***************************** so that I can properly serve the defendant. Alliant has been non-responsive to both myself and the *****************************. Requests for calls from the legal and fraud departments have gone ignored. And most of the time when I call, I am just placed on hold until I am hung up on. I don't know if this is Alliant Credit Union standard behavior, but it appears that facilitating fraud is an acceptable transaction for ACU.
