I retained this love for merely to ensure that my brother is doing the right thing as far as handling my mom's estate as he was granted an unsupervised executorship. My $2,000 retainer quickly was burned through and before I knew it I owed another $2,000. Then my attorney left the firm and I remained with my attorney after he left. I I was charged to read a $450 and this is really exorbitant considering that my attorney is merely reminding my brother's attorney of the different deadlines that they have to follow as well as deliverables to the court. There wasn't much activity.. as I was paying down the balance I realized the balance kept going up. They went back and added interest for each month that it where I was over the $2,000 retainer I never received any phone calls or letters that I had a balance due I really just assumed that I was still under the $2,000. Then I get a message from their office after the attorney left saying that I owed a balance. I started paying every week or every other week and when I was halfway through the balance went up. They charged me $90 for 15 minutes call that the attorney allegedly had and that call happened two months prior to the date that they charged me and then they charged me interest on that... Plus they charge me interest on every single month then I got another $90 charge after I told them I would pay half of the balance which I did. I'm very disappointed. I told him I will not pay for a 15-minute phone call that happened 2 months prior plus the interest on that which is absolutely ridiculous. This showed up in a new bill and I have been working with my attorney for 2 months he he has left the law firm 2 months ago and now they charge for 15 minutes phone call Plus a crazy amount of interest.... I sent my message to both the account accountant as well as the owner and neither responded. My only response was another bill with a higher balance. I had just paid $500 which was a little less than half owed and told them I'm not going to pay for this extra $90 charge I should have been built 2 months prior and then this crazy interest that they're adding and that they have been adding they even added that on the $90 charge..... Very disappointed.
I cannot recommend Mike Valenti enough. From our first conversation, he took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He makes you feel like you have someone who will stand up for you and fight for your cause. Mike made me feel heard and understood during what has been a very overwhelming process. His attention to detail was outstanding—nothing was overlooked, and every step was explained thoroughly and thoughtfully.
What impressed me most was the way they responded to my questions. I would not recommend Pare & Associates based on my experience. I felt that I was misrepresented throughout my case and the service I received was both overpriced and poor. My first attorney, Lisa, quit halfway through because she was overwhelmed. She was unprepared for my pendente lite hearing and set my case on a downward trajectory from the start. Another attorney later took over and was more competent, but I felt he did not want to take the case to trial. Because of that, I am now facing the consequences of bad advice. Overall, I did not feel supported, and I regret placing my trust in this firm.

Would read this in entirety especially if you are using Alice Pare for divorce or custody.
I'll start by saying my ex-wife hired Alice Pare as her attorney last year. From the beginning, there was many issues with this practice. Alice assigned my ex one of the young/new lawyers to help with her case. They were supposed to draft a marriage settlement agreement. Not only did that lawyer take over 6 weeks (which is ridiculous--we got it done with someone else in 2 weeks), Alice said the agreement was written "horribly" by her colleague and could not accept his poor job. When Alice went to write herself, she never finished because of course she wanted this to end up in court. Long story short, my ex-wife ends up getting assigned NOT just a second lawyer but a THIRD lawyer. The second lawyer ends up leaving the practice because he hates working with Alice. The third ended up leaving because of a "family emergency." When we looked up the third lawyer, he had received multiple violations so we assume something legal may have happened.
Just as my ex-wife and I were about to finish our case and get everything mediated, Alice is then re-assigned to the case. She jumps on a zoom call with us and the judge with ZERO preparation with my ex. She had no idea that we were splitting 50/50 custody of the kids (which actually was the plan the whole time) and then proceeds to tell the judge that there is a CUSTODY BATTLE and schedules 2 days for court time. I became panicked and immediately called my ex after the zoom call who then informs me that Alice COMPLETELY made that decision on her own. She basically went against the client and made a UNILATERAL decision which is illegal. For this reason, we have made the decision to file a complaint with the bar. Having Alice try to cause a custody battle caused undue stress to my family and myself. Luckily, we have 4 witnesses to the event - myself, ex-wife, my lawyer and the judge on the zoom call.
Long story short, my ex-wife fired Alice. Alice being Alice, she did not even have the decency to help with the transition to the new lawyer and ignored all communication. Would avoid Alice Pare at all costs. I have spoken with at least five lawyers in Montgomery County and they all corroborated similar sentiments - she is corrupt, money-hungry and has poor reputation with judges. She has such poor reputation with judges that she tries to send her other colleagues to the court room because she knows she falls short there. If you look at her practice, you will notice that most of her colleagues will not stay past more than one year and that place is a revolving door. There were also concerns from others that she is not mentally fit to still be practicing.Reputation is very important in family law and unfortunately, Alice Pare is not received well.
Lawyers like Alice Pare should not be practicing.
It is not uncommon for one spouse to to tell their lawyer something different, especially when certain circumstances exist. This matter should have been simple, hence an attorney with 6 years experience was assigned to the matter. Unfortunately, the matter became unfortunately complicated for reasons that are all too common, but were not foreseen in this instance. It is difficult to represent a victim.
