Relaxed workplace with kind and understanding management
Alfa Insurance is a great company to work for. The benefits and compensation are very reasonable, and management really cares about work/life balance. I would highly recommend starting at Alfa because you never know where it could lead within the company. Pros: Onsite cafeteria and daycare, relaxed work environment
Bodyshop has told us 3 times, "Your car will be ready in 3 weeks." More like 2+ months. For minor repairs. Mr. ** refused to extend car rental. My family is experiencing loss of income due to transportation. I'm extremely disappointed in the Meridian Ms. Location. Mr. ** won't even stay on top of bodyshop. His attitude is, very Racist. This is my family's experience.
Not ideal for young job seekers
The company is made up of reps who are older women set in their ways. The system and technology are so old compared to the rest of businesses not just insurance companies. The reps aren’t allowed to do their own job, they are required to call the home office for answers to give to your customer sitting right in front of you. So the customer just looks upset and confused at you b/c the company will not equip you with the knowledge to actually help your customer on your own to make the company look good and trustworthy. Not a good day to day experience. Pros Okay pay, good manager Cons Set in old ways( cash deposits, have to phone the home office for everything), old techniques, not great coworkers

Good job for someone without a ton of options
It’s hard work. Fast paced. Salaried so it’s great if you thrive in fast paced complex environments, not good if you require time to think. You’ll end up working 60 hours a week
Great benefits not great pay
Great benefits at Alfa Insurance but advancement difficult. Need to pay employees better. Small town work culture. I enjoyed working there so years. Very fast paced multi tasking job! No commission which was a plus for me Pros Health Insurance and benefits Cons Pay could be better

Fun place to work

Absolute worst experience possible. Wish I could give zero stars. If you call in the 1-800, no one knows what’s going on. You will get different answers from different agents. I was told I could cancel one of my vehicle’s insurance 2 days prior to the insurance auto-drafting from my account to avoid the deduction, that was not accurate. I called back and was told I would be refunded. Did not get a refund. I was told it would credit towards the rest of my premium even though the remaining premium on the one vehicle was much less than the vehicle I removed. When I asked what the new amount being drafted from my account would be, it was the same as prior, no credit. Who knows where the additional money was going. I went back and forth with the call center and my local agent. All while being told inaccurate info from all employees. I decided to cancel the insurance altogether and was told I’d be issued a full refund that way. They decided to send only a partial refund of what was deducted from my bank account, even though my local agent told me I’d receive a full refund. Spent 20 min on the phone with the call center while the rep I spoke with figured out why that was the case. Was told it was because I hadn’t paid enough the prior months that I was insured through them! Then why weren’t my previous payments higher, if I wasn’t paying what was owed for the vehicles.
It's okay
It's an okay place to work i would suggest if you are going for the CSR position to already be licensed and to choose part-time hours over full-time hours. I have gathered in my time here that this is more of an part-time position rather than full-time. The pay is also something to keep in mind as well, they pay you monthly. Good Company and Experience
The job itself is good with the freedom and flexibility you need to be on the clock 24/7. However, that comes with small levels micro management from a district manager in the form of almost daily production reports. Ultimately a lot of success has to deal with what office you are assigned to and the staff that are assigned there to help you. I know very skilled and experienced agents struggling to hit numbers in a certain office while others seem to effortlessly cruise to success. With assigned staff that do not directly report to you and office space that you do not fully control, it can lead to an ideal situation or a very helpless feeling one. Overall, ALFA is a great company and depending where you are placed will have a lot to do with your success. Pros Benefits, Training Cons Limited/no control of your staff
I was hit by one of their policy holders in November 2020, it’s now January and I still haven’t had anything done to my vehicle. The policy holder received a ticket and avoided answering her phone when they called. They deemed it a loss even tho I paid half of the damages out of pocket. We got the estimate down to $952 but they still refuse to pay. They said they already deemed it a total loss and can’t change it. My vehicle is worth over $2000 in their opinion. I’m a single mother with 1 car and they don’t care. This car is only damaged on the headlight the side bumper. I’m not gonna have my car as totaled Bc they don’t want to fix it. This insurance company is fraudulent and unfair. They don’t care their policy holder was at fault. They will do anything to not pay.

Don't trust these people! I added my daughter as a driver just in case she ever needed to drive my car and this company doubled my premium!! I called and spoke with the office in Brentwood and they won't change it. No wonder they have such a poor rating online. I'm switching companies!
I had the worst experience ever with this company. Signed up with an agent last Friday, and called my previous insurance to cancel I was asked why. After explaining was told loyal customer for 8 years so rate dropped so won't leave. Texted agent to inform. I contacted Alfa/Trexis to inform canceling and reason why. Told write letter sign date then email customer service. I did it. Was emailed that will take 24 to 48 hours for underwriting to process. I called to find out refund status to issue said 48 hours, and has to cancel policy but when called with account number stated not valid so knew canceled. Check bank account payment posted saying pending. I called my bank was told a week to take hold off. Called Trexis a nice gentleman spoke with stated shouldn't be, and will look onto it. He did call back but said still looking in it. Waited 2 hours no call. Called Trexis back. Told it's no hold for a week. Informed why would bank lie. I told them calling my attorney. I did call lawyer, and informed details. Before they could call them I checked my account money posted. I've never dealt with this and never will again. Do review on company before signing up. Ridiculous.
I have full coverage with this company, my deductible is of 1000$. I have a BMW convertible that the back window was broken with the cloth on the back of the car, they told me since my car is a 2008 they don’t cover for new parts and that through a 3rd party online the window and everything else would be less than 900 $, they don’t want to be responsible. I do not recommend this company at all. BMW is writing me an estimate of 5600$ and 3400 are in parts only.
I have paid for roadside assistance for several years and today was the first time I tried to use it. I was maybe 4 miles from my house and needed to be towed home. They wanted me to pay $75 out of pocket to be towed home. What is the point of roadside assistance if you have to pay to be towed less than 4 miles. I will be dropping Alfa first thing in the morning as soon as other insurance companies are open to get a quote. I will have a new insurance company and never again will I use Alfa.
