Akian helped me at my Dedham home early July, 2026 to troubleshoot and fix an inop A/C situation. From the time i called until the time the AC was working again was about 3 hours (after hours on a Friday night). Carlos got it working and for that my mother-in-law was grateful. That's the positive.
However, there are two massive negatives about this company: 1. Price and 2. You can't speak to someone in their shop--overseas call center operation.
The $399 after hours charge was steep but i'm not griping about that. I was way overcharged for some basic items (capacitor, contact switch). I spoke to two independent HVAC guys after the work was done and even taking into account the after-hours situation they would be half of the $2,300 i was charged. Compared to what my local HVAC company would charge in PA where i live the were 40% more.
I'd call to discuss with management, but as i said, it's like calling T-Mobile or Amazon or name your favorite large corporation-- you get a call center.
Bottom line, if you don't mind call center customer service and high prices these guys will get the job done. My counsel would be to find a an independent HVAC contractor and prepare for an after hours call before it happens--i did not and i got it good and hard as a result.

Antonio and his crew arrived just before the July 4th holiday to install the new system. Despite working through two long, extremely hot days, they remained professional, punctual, and communicative throughout the installation. Their dedication ensured that our new AC system was fully operational before the holiday weekend and an approaching heat wave, which we greatly appreciated.
In addition to the HVAC work, Akian also completed significant electrical upgrades related to our MEP improvements. Chris did an outstanding job managing the electrical work under the same tight schedule, including upgrading our breaker panel and exterior service connection. The experience was just as positive, and the quality of the work was outstanding.
Overall, our experience with Akian was exceptional. The entire team was skilled, responsive, honest, and genuinely committed to delivering quality work and excellent customer service. We are extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend Akian to anyone considering HVAC or electrical upgrades.

I'm writing to thank two technicians, James and Alex, who really came through for me. I had been without A/C for a looooong time due to a leak that could not be fixed until a replacement part arrived from the manufacturer. When the leak was diagnosed, James said, "I can't make the part arrive faster, but the day it arrives, I'll be there the following morning to install it." Weeks later, it finally arrived, and James and Alex were there at 8 am the following morning. They worked a 14-hour day on a Friday in July to get the installation done, so I didn't have to spend another hot, summer weekend with no A/C. I can't thank them enough!
