The castle was absolute magic. Very well maintained, comfortable beds, clean and plenty of space for fun and relaxation plus many toys and activities for the youngsters. Lots of beautiful walks in the area. The owner is fantastic and very accommodating. We all loved being there to celebrate our daughter's graduation from st. Andrews and hope to return in the future.

If you get the chance to stay here - do! Beautiful castle with every comfort and convenience you could wish for. Lots to do on the area and some lovely walks - plus the beach is only 20 mins drive away. We had the most wonderful stay in lovely Dairsee Castle and Etsuko was a fantastic host.

A charming and lovely place. Came as advertised. Our family - 11 of us - fit comfortably and had a wonderful stay for our holiday. Etsuko gave us a warm welcome at check-in, took us on a tour, answered our questions, and left contact information for any issues (there were none). Check-out was very easy. Bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the basics. Because of time of year and less daylight, we ate lunch out and made dinner every night, eating in The Great Hall by a fire. Plenty of grocery store options 5 - 10 minutes away. Lots of books, puzzles, and games, to entertain that we barely watched TV. Dairsie Castle is situated around an 1 hour to many beautiful/historic sites (15 minutes to St. Andrews), and little over 2 hours to the Highlands. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

Once a year, our friend group organizes a weekend break in Scotland. Dairsie Castle was by far the best place we have ever stayed at. Not only is it the most unique and beautiful Air BnB we have hired, but it was incredibly clean, warm, and private. Etsuko's communication was fantastic - from booking straight through to departure. On our arrival, she gave us an informative tour of the castle, explaining the history of the building, where everything was stored, and how to use the Aga! If you have an appreciation for the building and a group of friends to share the castle with, you will love your time at Dairsie Castle.

Everything is even better than in the advertisement. And Etsuko the host was brilliant. We felt at home every minute , had a lot of space and everything we wanted was there. We had a BBQ , are allowed to use the fireplace and the place is so well equipped. . Highly recommended and we will be back next year.

A fabulous castle……it exceeded our expectations. Impressive well maintained grounds with a covered BBQ area. We played a lot of cricket (bats and balls provided) The kitchen has everything you need - just bring your food and drink. Spacious dining/lounge area off the kitchen, perfect for a large number. Throughout the castle there’s loads to explore….all rooms are a combination of grandeur and homeliness, very tasteful indeed. The bedrooms are equally nice (no one in your group will have to “make do”) with comfortable beds and quality bedding. Extra touches - tissues, shower caps, hairdryers and Aesop shower gel (which is the BEST). And no shortage of toilet roll !! There’s a TV room with comfy sofas and a huge flatscreen then a little room full of toys if required. Overall it’s a great place, I truly recommend it - you won’t be disappointed.
