Terrible company
Terrible company. Agoda kept money owed to me and refused to release it, claiming the payment had expired. I contacted their support several times, but instead of resolving the issue, they delayed it until the payment deadline passed. I have screenshots and emails proving the entire history. No proper warning, no solution, just excuses to keep the money. Completely unacceptable and untrustworthy.

MY FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL USE AGODA
On 17/09/2026 I booked 6 nights at Daisy Resort in Phu Quoc for a total of 2,772,600 VND (£80.64). You charged my Visa card twice: one payment of £26.58 and another of £79.58, totalling £106.36 — an extra £25.72. I would like to know what this extra charge is for!
I cancelled my reservation the following day, on 18/09/2026, and was confirmed a 2-night cancellation fee of 924,143 VND (£26.88). So I am still waiting for £106.36 − £26.88 = £79.48 from you.
Never again will I use AGODA. From now on, it's Booking.com all the way

Agoda Fraudulent Pricing, Overcharging and Repeated Broken Customer Service Promises
I booked a hotel in Philippines via Agoda, check‑in Oct 4‑6,2 nights.
The order page clearly showed final payable amount RMB 1533. 49. However, my credit card was charged RMB 1714. 40 without prior notice, over‑charged by RMB 180.91.
Agoda claimed the difference was because JCB discount was not applicable to my card. But there was no clear, prominent warning before payment. I was never informed the actual charge would be higher, and no re‑confirmation was required.
I contacted the hotel directly, and the hotel sent an email agreeing to free cancellation. I forwarded this email to Agoda, yet Agoda refused to assist cancellation, shifting responsibility to the hotel.
Agoda phone agent promised full refund and free cancellation on Sep 14, on condition I cancel my bank chargeback. They refused to provide written confirmation. Hours later, Agoda denied this promise, claiming it was only an agent mistake.
My travel companion booked the same hotel, same room type with identical non‑cancellation policy on another travel platform. Their cancellation request was reviewed and resolved within one day.
By contrast, my case arises directly from Agoda's misleading pricing and unauthorized overcharge — this is not a cancellation request for my personal convenience. I attempted to cancel immediately after discovering Agoda's pricing error, but my request was rejected. I then requested a refund of the overcharged amount, which was also denied.
After a week of exhausting back-and-forth communications, I have lost all confidence in Agoda. I firmly demand free cancellation and full refund of this booking.
How can I possibly trust Agoda to handle my booking properly up until check-in, given this series of broken promises and poor handling?
Your team has demonstrated a complete lack of credibility. My trip is approaching, please resolve my request promptly. Should this situation lead to further losses for my travel arrangements, I will hold Agoda accountable and demand compensation for my time and emotional distress.
My request: cancel the order and full refund.

Highly recommend
It was nice to have the option to split the payment into four installments. I had to cancel my trip two weeks prior to the booking due to work, and the email said it would take 45 days to process a refund, but it was immediately processed and credited. Would definitely use them again!

1 877">. ~(309)".>~6367TM™ Agoda customer service Guide looking for travel assistance can use the airline’s official customer-care resources for questions, feedback, and help with recent trips. For U.S. and Canadian customers, Agoda also lists its reservations contact number, 1 877">.~(309)".>~6367TM™ , as a support option.
Understanding Passenger Experiences
Every traveler can have a different experience depending on their itinerary, airport, flight schedule, baggage situation, and individual needs. Reading customer feedback can help travelers understand the types of experiences other passengers have reported, but individual reviews should not be treated as a guarantee of what every customer will experience.
Assistance Before and During Travel
Passengers can prepare for a smoother journey by checking their reservation details, reviewing baggage requirements, confirming flight information, and keeping important travel documents accessible. Agoda also provides online tools for managing trips and accessing travel information.
Help When Travel Plans Change
Unexpected changes can happen during air travel. Delays, cancellations, schedule adjustments, missed connections, or baggage concerns may require additional assistance. Southwest’s Customer Care service allows travelers to start a request concerning a recent trip or submit feedback, while its Help Center provides resources for current and future travel plans.
What Reviews Can Tell Travelers
Customer reviews can highlight both positive and negative experiences, including interactions with airport staff, reservation agents, baggage services, and onboard teams. However, reviews represent individual experiences and may vary significantly depending on the circumstances of each journey.
A Practical Approach to Customer Support
When contacting an airline, having the confirmation number, passenger name, flight number, travel date, and relevant documents available can make it easier to explain a concern. Using official Agoda channels can also help travelers find information that applies to their specific reservation.
Final Thoughts
Agoda offers several ways for travelers to find assistance before, during, and after a journey. Combining official support resources with careful preparation and balanced customer feedback can help passengers make more informed decisions and handle travel-related questions more efficiently.

Agoda are crooks
After being ripped off by them myself I have found out I'm not the only one.
Their typical scam is to lure you in to a non-refundable booking by a good deal. They change the details of your booking while your booking.
Even if you cancel two minutes after youve booked when you realise the discrepancy between what you thought you were booking and what you actually booked, literally mere minutes later, they wont credit or reimburse you.
Absolute scam.
Lowest of the low.
Held my refund for over 7 months after the hotel already returned the money
I booked The Leaf Oceanside by Katathani Resort (Khao Lak) through Agoda for 13–14 November 2025 (Booking ID *******203). The room was dirty, noisy, had a leaking shower, a broken TV, and looked nothing like the photos — a completely different, much older room.
After complaining, the hotel refunded THB 2,499 to Agoda on 23 December 2025. They confirmed this in writing on 18 February 2026 and clearly stated it was Agoda's responsibility to return the funds to my original payment method.
I have provided that hotel confirmation to Agoda multiple times (live chat, email, and screenshots). Over seven months later Agoda still has not refunded me. Their responses have been a series of contradictions and delays: first claiming no refund was possible because I stayed, then saying they were waiting for the hotel, then claiming they needed new "written approval," while repeatedly sending the same canned replies.
I have spent hours chasing this money that Agoda already received from the hotel. This is not a complicated case — the hotel returned the funds and documented it. Agoda simply refuses to pass them on.
Extremely poor customer service and unacceptable handling of a refund.
Extremely Disappointing, Unhygienic, and Misleading Property - Requesting Full Refund
I booked this apartment (Booking ID *******190) through Agoda for a weekend stay after a last-minute change of plans for my family of four, including a 9-year-old child. The listing looked decent in Agoda's photos, and given the urgency of our trip, I proceeded with the booking. The total amount paid was S$194 for just one night, which made the experience even more frustrating.
Shortly after booking, the property sent me the mailbox number and access code. Upon arrival, I noticed the mailbox was already in poor condition, looking worn out and partially damaged. Although it was not a good first impression, I chose to ignore it and continue with the check-in process.
Unfortunately, things only got worse. The moment my family and I opened the apartment door; we saw several cockroaches running freely around the room. This was shocking, unacceptable, and completely different from what was portrayed in the Agoda listing. The apartment did not resemble the advertised photos at all. There were no windows, no proper living area, and the "bedroom" consisted of a queen-size mattress placed directly on the floor.
The room's condition made us extremely uncomfortable. We even had to spray Baygon ourselves in an attempt to keep the cockroaches away from us. About an hour after sitting on the mattress, I started experiencing intense itchiness on my back, stomach, legs, and hands. At that point, it became clear that staying overnight was not an option.
I immediately contacted the property regarding the infestation and the poor condition of the unit. However, there was no meaningful response. The only messages I received were the Wi-Fi username and password. My concerns were completely ignored. The lack of responsiveness and customer care was extremely disappointing.
I also attempted to seek assistance through Agoda, but I was repeatedly directed to automated responses that did not help resolve the issue. As a paying customer dealing with an accommodation that I considered uninhabitable, this added further stress and frustration to an already unpleasant experience.
Ultimately, for the safety and comfort of my family, I had to book another hotel and arrange additional transportation via Grab at my own expense. This caused significant inconvenience, unexpected costs, and ruined what was supposed to be a family weekend getaway.
I am sharing this review to warn other travelers, especially families with children, to be extremely cautious. In my view, the property was not accurately represented, the cleanliness standards were unacceptable, and the host was unresponsive when problems were reported.
I strongly urge the property owner to issue a full refund of the S$194 paid for this stay, as the accommodation was not fit for occupancy and did not match the expectations set by the listing.
This experience has seriously affected my confidence in booking accommodations through online platforms, and I hope Agoda investigates this property thoroughly to prevent other travelers from going through the same ordeal.
I have attached the actual room images and the images on AGODA.
Agoda refused to review my cancellation request made within minutes – AI responses only
I have been an Agoda customer for many years and have achieved VIP status. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced me that I will no longer use Agoda.
I booked a hotel (Booking ID: *******851) for a stay from 1–8 August. Within approximately 3–15 minutes of completing the reservation, I realized that the booking was non-refundable. Since my visa had not yet been approved, I immediately submitted a cancellation request.
At that moment:
The cancellation request was made within minutes of the booking.
Check-in was still almost two months away.
No payment had yet been collected.
The hotel had suffered no practical loss.
Despite these exceptional circumstances, Agoda refused even to consider a goodwill cancellation.
I contacted Agoda immediately, contacted the hotel the following day, and contacted Agoda again. Every time I received the same template response. I repeatedly asked for my case to be reviewed by a human representative or supervisor, but I was never able to communicate with anyone who actually evaluated the specific facts of my situation.
My complaint is no longer only about the cancellation.
My main concern is Agoda's customer service model. It appears to rely heavily on automated AI responses that repeat company policy instead of allowing a genuine review by a human decision-maker. As a VIP customer, I expected at least an individual assessment of a cancellation request submitted only minutes after the reservation was made.
A company certainly has the right to offer non-refundable rates. However, refusing to exercise any discretion when a customer asks to cancel within minutes—long before the stay and before any measurable loss could occur—does not reflect good customer service or fair commercial practice.
I hope Agoda reconsiders not only my case but also the way it handles customers who need a genuine human review instead of repetitive automated replies.
As things stand today, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in Agoda, and I will no longer use the platform for future bookings.
Cheating by agoda
Agoda has mede my booking of property with breakfast but property owner says your booking doesn't include breakfast. Agoda asking to pay fees to complain about the same and used dirty words.
We are cheated by Agoda aswell as by property Royal Cabana Bunglow at Lonavala
Refund process
Worst booking experience I've had. Agoda accepted my payment, failed to secure the booking, then cancelled it because of their own supplier/system issues. The refund process has been slow and frustrating, and I have waited beyond the promised timeline without receiving my money.
The most disappointing part is that Agoda acknowledges the problem was not caused by me, yet I am the one dealing with the consequences. Poor customer experience, poor refund handling, and very little accountability. I cannot recommend this platform based on my experience.
False advertisement
Very disappointed with Agoda as a booking platform. The property descriptions are misleading and do not reflect the actual conditions experienced upon arrival. Listings present hotels as clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but that was not the case in my experience.
As a traveler on a road trip relying on accurate information to choose safe places to rest, this caused significant disruption to my plans. After my first stay, I no longer trusted the accuracy of the remaining prepaid bookings and had to request cancellations and refunds in order to secure more reliable accommodations.
I also contacted customer service for assistance but received no response via email and no answer by phone, which made it impossible to resolve the issue in real time.
Agoda should improve its quality control and ensure that property listings accurately reflect real conditions so travelers are not misled.
Warning - scam
WARNING: Do not book through Agoda if you expect honest communication or any form of customer support when problems arise.
I booked a room at The Gillette in Gatlinburg, TN through Agoda and made an honest mistake on the dates. I contacted Agoda immediately to request a date change. What followed was one of the most frustrating, dishonest, and exhausting customer service experiences I have ever encountered.
Agoda told me the hotel had not approved any changes to my booking. That was false. I contacted The Gillette directly and received a written email from a staff member confirming the room was available, the date change was approved, and that Agoda simply needed to process it. I forwarded this documentation to Agoda. They never acknowledged their false statement, never apologized, and never processed the change.
By the time Agoda finished stalling, my conference dates had passed. I had already been forced to book and pay for alternative accommodations entirely out of pocket. I received absolutely nothing from the original $224.06 booking.
Agoda then offered me a credit in the form of "AgodaCash" — not a real refund — which I rejected. They then quietly withdrew even that offer. When I demanded a cash refund, they called me before 7:00 a.m. and ultimately responded with a carefully worded email denying any responsibility and refusing any refund.
Their final response mischaracterized the hotel's written approval as merely a "willingness to review" a request. That is not what the documentation says. The hotel approved the change. Agoda chose not to act on it.
I am now pursuing a credit card chargeback and filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs.
Agoda had every opportunity to make this right. They chose not to at every turn. Book elsewhere — there are far more reputable platforms that will actually advocate for you when something goes wrong.
Recurring unresolved issues
Poor follow-up on recurring issues. Support does not address concerns properly, and the same problems keep occurring despite previous complaints. Very disappointing.
Received an email saying my booking did not go through. Booked another motel. a few days later I was charged for the booking. NO refund
I think this Company is doing this constantly

FRAUD ALERT!
FRAUD WARNING:
Was using Agoda for many hotel bookings. The website had an error where it told me a booking could not be completed and to try again later. Tried several times and finally gave up and booked a different hotel (also through agoda). Then, a few minutes after the second hotel was booked, the first hotel booking went through. After being told it the booking had failed, the booking went through retroactively. I received the confirmation email, cancelled immediately (several days before the booking) and was told that the reservation was cancelled (and it lists on their site as cancelled). But Agoda still charged me $450 for a hotel I never booked and never stayed in. Customer service is a joke. May not even be dealing with an actual person. They refuse to cancel the charge. It's fraud. Legal action to follow. Stay away from Agoda.
