Aflac sales agent review Pros:At Aflac, there will be several mentors who can help you get started, and you will have plenty of resources to learn how to sell insurance and manage accounts. Cons:It is all commission based, so you have to have money to make money. Advice to Management:Ask for reports on selling practices, even if just a mock scenario. Know that people may have hidden struggles when it comes to approaching businesses, especially if they are young.

You reap what you sow Pros:Since you are a 1099 contracted worker as a benefits advisor, you can make your own schedule however you'd like. It's a go-getter type of position, the work you put in directly correlates with what you get out. Unlimited earning potential. Great leadership and support systems built-in such that you are not just thrown in the deep end and expected to swim, quite the opposite. Furthermore, there are advance-commission structures such that you do not have to hold out for a year before starting to make significant income; if you go and work for it, you can make enough money for you and your family within a month, and it only grows over time if you keep working. Cons:No guaranteed income. If you don't have the motivation to go out and shape your own future, this would not work for you as you would rarely or never get paid. Advice to Management:The management, at least at the Knoxville office, is great.

“Easy to use” website doesn’t tell you about info needed to file. Phone menu is a nightmare. There is NO REASON to pay for a service you’ll never get. It takes MONTHS for claims to go through. Necessary information intentionally withheld so they don’t have to pay out. Just save your money. If AFLAC is the only option at your work, definitely worth finding a new job.

THIEVES & LIARS! My *** had a cancer policy she paid into for close to 20 years, unfortunately she did get cancer. They did pay her a few times until the last rather large check. They allowed her sister to illegally change the address, my husband being POA & Executor luckily caught it in time & had the check stopped/canceled. So, they sent a 2nd check to our address as she was in hospice care at this point, this check they put into his dad's name (his dad passed away in ****) and they don't seem to know how to read a legal POA document as NONE of them could grasp that after his dad's passing per the last will & testament it appointed my husband....this was four whole lines down so super confusing I guess? During this time my husband must have called over a dozen times & we of course recorded these calls. Every single rep was a MORON!!! We got the run around every day....they told us numerous times it would be overnighted as we needed it for funeral expenses & then it never came. They then wanted the Executor paperwork as during this time his mother passed away. Keep in mind he's the POA (financial & medical). So, jump through this hoop & sent same day & surprise they STILL DIDN'T OVERNIGHT THE $! Again, these conversations are recorded!! They are a joke & we still have yet to see the money!!

It needs to be better The work itself is very easy and enjoyable, but you end up spending a lot of time calling places and then you don’t get any hourly pay. It’s only commission. I haven’t had a paycheck in over a month. I’m absolutely drowning so I can’t really give a good review on this job because nothing is consistent.

WORST JOB EVER Pros:The people you work with can be nice. Cons:100% commission based. Minimal training. You’re just a telemarketer that nobody wants to hear from. I had to take out a loan just to keep afloat. I’m a combat veteran and this job was worse. Advice to Management:Stop making promises that you can’t keep.

Great but a Serious Commitment Best way to make money is to stay there long enough for the learning curve. Not easy job but will reward you with time. 3 year commitment for good renewals + new accounts.

Enterprise culture Pros:Company always looking to improve and employees enjoy working here. Cons:Disorganized, going through organization restructuring. Multiple levels of approvals to receive for what would be simple requests at a small/medium sized company.

Have had Aflac for many years. Company now takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks to post my payments via ********** bill pay. Called with no help, even wrote a letter almost 2 months ago. Ha! After reading their business reviews I understand. Disappointed that a good company has gone sour.

Customer service is beyond horrible. I made a request and it wasn’t followed through properly. They continuously transferred me to various departments and it became a game. They had my banking information and I had requested cancellation and they continued trying to process it. I am not going to pay for a service that I didn’t give authorization for. AFLAC you really need to revamp your entire process and retrain your customer service reps. No customer should have to go through such stress. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Aflac is the company our job uses for group coverage. They are very slow at processing claims and they are terrible with getting your correct information updated in their system. I have been having issues with them since last August when I tried to update my account information. I have been waiting since November to be paid claims for therapy and when they finally get ready to pay they send it by mail which is the wrong address but they have my direct deposit information and wouldn’t send it to the bank. I have filed a complaint with the State Department of insurance and I have also placed a call for action with FOX 5 news station regarding not paying claims in a timely manner and not sending payments. I pay for this insurance bi weekly only to be dragged through the mud. The only thing the representative say is, "I understand." The worst company ever. MetLife is way better and pay faster. Now I’m having to contact an attorney just to try to get money owed. Just awful customer service and support.

I have had Aflac for years and I was recently hospitalized for a surgery. In hospital for * days. Aflac refused to pay the hospital indemnity and any other claims I had filed. They told me that they only pay one claim per year now. They have changed and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. They are a Fraud.

The only reason I'm giving Aflac 2 stars is because my claim finally went through. First of all the representatives that answer the phones for them are as knowledgeable as grade school children. I sent over 1000 pieces of paperwork from 3 or 4 different doctors and hospital facilities that Aflac asked for. After 4 to 5 months of giving me the runaround, I decided to contact the Department of Insurance. Once I got them involved everything got completed in 15 days. The moral of this story people is when you are dealing with Insurance Companies get the Department of Insurance in your specific State involved and this should help.

Typical insurance company, extremely slow to pay, not worth the money if you are a 1099 employee. I work for a small company and receive hand written checks, so no pay stubs. I was injured oct 27, doing hurricane cleanup, and claims submitted by nov 4, provided all info and forms by nov 15. Submitted all of there claim forms as well as all doctor records. First they were waiting on the ***** code from specialist, okay I get that they want the exact reason I am out of work, and the emergency room and urgent care both sent me to the orthopedic surgeon. Submitted the radiology report from the mri that showed ***** ****** ********** ** * ******** ***** *** * ** ****** ***** on Nov 23. My orthopedic follow up wasn’t until dec 11. Got that submitted same day. They said great we will get it processed then they went back on dec 13, and started talking about paystubs. As I previously stated I am with a small business that has been using Aflac for years, they come to our shop to present their benefits yearly. They know we get handwritten checks. Since I filed on Nov 4 they had never reached out to my employer for any verification, it was much easier for them to just tell me no. So now it’s the end of December finally finished with battle by submitting another employer letter that says the same exact thing as the first. But now it’s December 31 claim is done they have sent the funds for direct deposit, now last night at about 7 pm I get an email that says sorry we have had in issue on our end with direct deposit on our end, we have fixed the problem but we are going to mail you a check. Okay at this point I am over 3 months with no paycheck hurricane Helene, then Milton (2 months from injury) ** ********* ***** ** ****** **** * ******* ***** *** **** ** ****** ************ ****** ********* **** ****** ****** **** ******** ***** *** * **** ***** *** ** **** **** ***** **** ****** ** ****** ***** * ****** *** ** ******* *** ***** *** ***** ** ** ************ Thanks Aflac.

They call repeatedly from multiple #s. 3 weeks ago I asked to be removed from their call list. It stopped until today. I have received 5 calls just today and it's only 3pm. It is every hour..... The number from today ends in 9835. I asked again to be removed. We shall see. No need to be so aggressive, if people want your insurance they would have followed through with their request.

I wish I could give AFLAC a big fat zero! They are the worst company ever and they were a waste of my time and money. Their customer service is the worst as well. 4 months I've been given the run around, nothing but misleading information and useless representatives. I would never recommend them to anyone. In my time of Medical need they ended up given me nothing but anxiety. People save your money and find someone else. *giving them a one star rating only because they make you rate them. They don't even deserve that one star!
