Thank you. We talked yesterday about your furnace due to lack of system maintenance it's unfortunate that your blower failed but this is not our doing like I explained when our technician Jim came out and performed diagnostics. Found that your blower at the time was running the problem with your heater was that it was not getting flame due to safety sensors and bad high limit which we ordered and replaced and was able to get your furnace running you called again and we came back out at no cost to you found that your blower motor seized up, we tried to fix it but found that it must be replaced and gave you a price. I understand your frustration but we are here to help unfortunately we didn't install your equipment and it's past it's warranty.
I tried to resolve your issues and gave you options by taking the cost of our repair off the cost of new heater installation you were very happy and told me that you are going to call us and get it installed after talking to your husband.

I had an issue with my shower’s hot water handle not turning. I called Affordable Fixes to help identify and fix the problem. During the initial visit they determined that the components in question were too old to safely replace a single part and that a full replacement was recommended. I was planning to renovate the whole bathroom, so I was not interested in a full replacement. I wound up removing and replacing the faulty stem on my own.
While I was initially disappointed that affordable fixes was not able to help me with the “band aid” repair I was looking for, they did a very commendable job of following up after the fact and reimbursing me for the fees that did not contribute to the replacement work I took on and offered to assist in any future work at a discount.
I really appreciate their effort and willingness to make the situation right after my initial experience was less than anticipated.
I had an issue with my shower’s hot water handle not turning. I called Affordable Fixes to help identify and fix the problem. I was informed that there was an $85 base charge just for a technician to come out, which I accepted.
Upon arrival the tech looked at the valve stem and replied that it was too old to fix and replacements for that stem are no longer made. He claimed that he would need to replace the whole setup for around $500. No tools ever touched the stem, no attempt to loosen it, just 30 seconds of looking at it with a flashlight. he then told me it would be closer to $600 and that I needed to pay an additional “diagnostic fee” for the visit, but it could be deducted from the full replacement cost.
After the tech left, I got a follow up that the replacement would be in the $850-$1,000 range. Over the next 3 days, I watched several YouTube videos and made a few trips to the hardware store (spending roughly $35 in specialty tools). I was able to loosen the stem myself, order an exact replacement online ($18) and also soak the original stem in CLR and free the blockage. (Just a note: I have 0 plumbing experience).
Before the business comments something about “please reach out to us to resolve this problem” below, I have now contacted them multiple times and left 2 messages (one with a receptionist and one on their voicemail) asking for some kind of refund since there was no diagnosis made, no effort to fix the problem, just an attempt to severely upcharge.
While I cannot comment on their work with full replacements/renovations, I would warn anyone who chooses to use them that the final price will probably double from the estimate, based on my experience.
If you want something fixed and not a full on replacement, I would strongly advise against using this business.

Found cause of odor coming from garbage disposal, corrected by cleaning out and flushing disposal, advised how to clear and clean monthly to prevent build-up in the unit

Contacted this business twice and left two messages with their answering services in an attempt to have a hot water heater replaced--never received a call back. Messages were left on 11/23

I had an issue with the company which turned out to ba a computer / software issue. They took the time to call me to made things right. The real heart of a company is how they handle issues when things go wrong and Affordable stepped up to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I'll recommend them for your plumbing / HVAC needs.
