I visited CWL when I was a kid, over 25 years ago, so I was very excited to return! While it was fun, I left with some heavy disappointment in many areas. The good is that the rides are quite fantastic, specifically some of the bigger and newer roller coasters. It's 100% worth visiting just for those. The bas is the entire food and food ticket situation. First, the prices for small things like a bottle of water are INSANE. $8 for a bottle of water... that is a disgusting business practice and CWL should be absolutely ashamed of that. Raise the price of the cost of entry if you want, but don't overcharge for everyday items like water that are $2 one mile outside the gate. Secondly, we purchased the family premium food bundle thinking it would be a good idea to be able to eat often and whatever we wanted. Well, the whole process of even trying to figure out how to take advantage of that ticket was PAINFUL. Apparently you have to go get a bracelet from a cashier at one of the main restaurants, and there is no easy to find information on that on the website or any signage in the park. Additionally, it doesn't even apply to all food. For example, if you go to the Poutine place... you can get the grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese... yet the poutine is NOT included with the all-you-can eat family premium food ticket! Also there were other spots around the park that said "No sorry, that does not apply here". So, what's the point of paying the extra $30+ for the premium food ticket if you can't actually use it everywhere? More places than not DID NOT accept it. The lack of clarity, communication and instructions around the whole family bundle premium food ticket is egregiously bad. Based on that whole ticket disappointment and essentially feeling like I wasted $60 extra on the 2 ticket upgrades, along with the overpriced food and concessions in general, this is not a park I would return to anytime soon. I was at 2 Disney parks less than a month ago and it was cheaper there for food... literally.

The park itself feels good in the week day. However ,Water park is not as good as Wet'n wild. Rides are mediocare and waves in the waving pool are very light. Not all rides are open during week days...

This is a wonderful place to take your family. It suits all the needs from todler to grownups. I haven't been here in over 10 years and so many new rides have been introduced. The place makes you feel like a kid again. Especially after riding the drop zone or the leviathan. Even the old rides are nostalgic. Every week they have different events such as meeting the sesame street crew or Spiderman crew. My son absolutely loves getting pictures with them. There are so many places to get drinks and food. The price is a little expensive as you would expect. If you are going to go once a year, I would recommend getting the free food and drinks package. It is definitely worth the extra money. You can get a fountain drink every 15 mins and a meal every 90 minutes. If you go more than three times in the year, I suggest buying a season pass, the parking pass, and the food and drink pass. The parking pass is $75 or 30 (tax inclusive) each time. The meal pass isn't as good but you can still get a free meal every four hours. The pass is $115 plus $35 for the drinks ( which you can get every 15 mins). A single order of pizza and garlic bread is like $17. So do the math if you go multiple times ( two meals at 17 = 34 a day plus your drinks at 5 a piece). While you are there get the best funnel cakes around. They definitely beat D'spot. And don't forget the cotton candy! P.S. if you have never been to Canadas Wonderland, you must stand on the bridge of Timberwolf. It is a great experience, I promise. 😆.
