Mauvais expérience…. Très très chers pour une mauvaise gestion … toujours les mêmes joueurs sur le terrain raciste envers certain joueurs de couleur endroit à éviter en raison de mauvais coach qui insulte les joueurs beaucoup d’injustice de l’association ( peut brisser totalement la confiance d’un jeune basketteur) Beaucoup trop de favoritisme un parent m’avais aviser de pas jouer pour ce club malheureusement mauvais décision de ma part et heureusement que j’ai changer de d’idée pour un autres équipe et depuis ce temps mon enfant est heureux de jouer à sont sport favoris qui est le basketball
I felt compelled to write a review for 2 reasons: 1- they deserve it and I should have done this by now 2- after seeing anything other than 5 stars I felt parents looking for a good activity and league for their child should know this is a 5 star organization. So there are some comm issues sometimes? It happens as there are lots of moving parts with coach availabilities and how they can back each other up on various teams, games, gyms, etc, etc - a good team manager is critical and we had great volunteer parents. In any given practice you can have up to 3-4 coaches at times as they eat and sleep basketball and always seem around.
Our story:
- we joined bball Laval with both our son and daughter and we were immediately embraced by the league organizers, coaches, and the other parents!! We had been through other organized sports and never felt the bond and connection that we had with everyone mentioned. Organizers were always super courteous and inviting and inclusive, coaches could be demanding at times but always reasonable which is the balance between pushing your kid and not pressuring you are looking for. I tell anyone who listens that Rodney is a sweetheart (was responsible for girls program at the time). And again the parents atmosphere was great and I think that starts with the league and the mentality they cultivate every practice, every game, etc. Coaching quality is AMAZING. I played many years and was impressed with the level of intensity and technical details being shown and always with respect. I cannot say enough of how much of a positive experience it was. Things got a little hard the first summer into COVID but that was to be expected.
Again if you are looking for good basketball for your child to challenge them and also be taught all of the right human values as they grow and feel like your in a big family join basketball Laval.
Association Basketball Laval: ABL a été incroyable ce week-end lors du gala. Merci à Eric Denis, Emmanuel Borno et leur équipe, ainsi qu'aux entraîneurs, pour leur travail exceptionnel. Mon fils et moi avons adoré l'événement. C'est une excellente manière d'inculquer la discipline aux enfants et de les encourager à croire en leurs rêves.
Organisation déficiente. Complètement ridicule de ne pas être avisé quand une pratique est annulée et de l'apprendre sur place en voyant qu'il n'y a personne, nous partions de Terrebone... Gros manque d'organisation depuis le début de la session puis incapable de savoir à quand cette pratique sera remise. Au prix qu'ils chargent ils devraient sérieusement revoir leur affaire
