I thought my Acer all-in-one was a great PC and had no problems with it until a recent update. Because it was out of warranty, Acer transferred me to AnswersBy for technical support and what a joke that was. $200 and hours on the phone with so called experts and I still have a broken PC. Can't get anyone on the phone fluent in English to assist and can't get a refund for services that were NOT provided. Do your homework... Customer support is just as important as the product.

I bought Acer Aspire Go 14 a month ago for 300.00 dollars directly from Acer USA. So far it has been doing good job especially with Ryzen 3 7320u processor which is fast. This laptop is excellent for daily, basic jobs.

Laptop tore itself apart because the hinges are metal and everything else is cheap plastic. Just outside of warranty window. Customer service completely non-existent. Luckily I had it insured through my Amazon purchase, had the hinges repaired once but it quickly (1 month) tore itself apart again. Now the wifi card appears to be broken.

Their warranty work is horrible. I bought a gaming PC and it would not update. Tech found it needed the whole operating system re-installed, from a USB stick as the partition wouldn't work. They sent it to me two months ago.... nothing, so I called after about a month, or five weeks and same thing, they apologized and said they would make it right up and send it, OVERNIGHT. NOTHING. I called again, they still had not made it, or sent it. They put me through to a boss that was very condescending and he said "nothing is guaranteed in this life" and that there was nobody above him in ACER. I will never and can never recommend this company. They just didn't care.

I attempted to boot Acer Swift 14 laptop from a USB drive which is a perfectly standard operation, and yet it refused to recognize the drive. I called their "support" and was told that ONLY DRIVES PURCHASED FROM THEM CAN BE USED. They even offered to send their drive with windows, and that's exactly what I do NOT want. You think you bought a computer? No. You merely leased it from an erratic control freak.

Purcashed a laptop 11 months ago at BestBuy. One hinge broke, not covered under BB/Geek Squad membership. They were uninterested. Acer said my laptop was out of warranty, it wasn’t, they acknowledged that. Wanted $500+ to repair a hinge. Highway robbery. Never again an Acer.

I purchased an ACER Aspire 5, and after a few months of use, the audio quality began to deteriorate significantly. At times, I can barely hear the sound, even with the volume set to 100%. I reached out to ACER to report the issue, providing them with my order number. However, they responded by stating they could not locate my order and abruptly closed the conversation. In a second attempt, I sent them the invoice as proof of purchase, clearly indicating that I bought the device from the ACER store. Despite this, they simply directed me to contact customer service by phone, once again refusing to address my issue. Overall, the post-sales customer service has been quite disappointing.

If zero were an option, I would select it. I bought an ACER all-in-one PC based on the glowing review the salesman gave. I cannot disagree more with his endorsement. My Acer all-in-one has been SLOW, taking MINUTES to boot, rather than seconds. Googling a question took tens of seconds, vs. just one second on my iPad. My PC had problems connecting to my HP printer - habitually having to reboot everything so I could print something... I paid to have my PC performance checked and repaired - the fix was apparent at first, but then the slow speed of my lousy computer took over. I am REALLY SORRY that I bought what I consider to be a piece of absolute JUNK. PLEASE do NOT buy this crappy computer - pay MORE to get something that will actually work like 21st century tech.

Acer Chromebook had an issue, I sent it to be repaired under warranty. They sent it back, issue was not solved. So I resent it to their repair facility again. Whether they fixed the problem will never be known, as they shipped it back to me without warning and no signature requirement, and the FedEx driver left it in plain view on my steps, and it was stolen in the middle of the day, while I was home. The customer service rep said, "oh most people are WORKING during the day so they don't like signature requirements." Apparently Acer doesn't know that there's many people, like me, that work from home. There was not even an offer of a discount on a replacement Chromebook. This company's quality of build and customer service are abysmal. Avoid them like the plague.

Bought an HP and then purchased the accidental protection for well under $100 then after buying the same caliber Acer the extended warranty for the same amount of time was double the price. They sent a 20% off discount for the warranty but it would only apply 10%. After an hour of tech support I gave up. Hopefully it will hold up well but I don't see how they command any better value than HP with the same processor.

I bought a brand new acer predator laptop from Best Buy. About a month later the motherboard died. Their repair center then lost my laptop and they refuse to replace or refund me. They are thieves and are forcing me to take them to court to get my money back. It’s an unreliable product and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I bought laptop Acer Nitro 5 a month before and having problems like sometimes laptop is not turning on just showing the lights in keyboard and not turning on. I have my all data in laptop and sometimes I feels like I will lost all the data. So think more to buy Acer laptops because the quality is not that better. If you're buying laptop and after 1 month it's having issues then it's waste of money and time also.

Bought Acer products for my office, switched to newer windows software, lost the Drivers needed for Acer products, contacted Acer, Acer would not give the drivers or online manuals unless I purchased something else from them. It is their product, they should support it, simple logic. IF I had known this before, I would NOT have purchased Acer products.

My Acer Swift 3 is less than two years old. The battery will not charge. I called Acer to see if they will help me. Because the warranty expired they refused to talk to me directly and sent me to a 3rd party person. The gentleman was EXTREMELY rude. Never even asked any questions. He told me to seek a private computer tech and hung up. I called sales and they were very sweet and he gave me a number to call. When I called that number - again they were very rude and refused to assist me at all. I asked for an email to personally contact Acer and he told me to search the website. Until this purchase all laptops were HPs - I regret not staying with them.

Have ongoing issues with Acer laptop a good percentage of the time is when there are Microsoft updates. This last one is loss of microphone use for Google, apparently not an easy fix, shipping is required. Microsoft prefers the use of Edge over Google. Last issue was loss of taskbar, now 1-launch keeps appearing out of nowhere, consistently. Then before that was loss of volume control. It's free shipping for the microphone repair but I will live without the microphone use. Let's just say I'm getting paranoid of what the future holds.

Problem with a computer keyboard that was only 2 months old. The seller could not provide warranty as it was under manufacturer's warranty. Understandable. Acer posted a warranty claim phone number that I called several times because the call was dropped each time they transferred the call to their third party technical support department. When I was asked to provide the SNID number that was requested from their automated system, I was informed that this unit was out of warranty which was disappointing to hear on a 2 month old purchase. This message should not have been presented because it was not accurate. It was later confirmed in a conversation that this was NOT out of warranty. I simply gave up on pursuit of a claim and will purchase another keyboard to work with Acer product I purchased. Acer needs to revamp their customer service from a customer ASPECT in terms of streamlining their process in making it more user friendly thru the process. If Acer wants to to contact me regarding this review, I welcome their call. Dave

I have a Acer monitor that is less than a year old that is showing a white flickering banner through the middle of the screen, when I call to see what needs to be done so that this problem they will send me a shipping label, but I have to figure out or buy a box to send it to them, pack it myself, find a fedex near me and drop it off, it then will take 3-5 business days for them to see what is wrong and repair it and then ship it back to me. Why wouldn't they have it where you can take it to like UPS and they pack it and ship it, or if I can pack it then the shipping people can pick it up from my home why do I have to all the work for them to repair a product of theirs that don't work less than a year later. They don't make it convenient for the customer at all and they do not care in the slightest.

I sent this Chromebook back twice for warranty repair. The 2nd time it still wasn't fixed - and it was returned with visible damage! Acer won't repair or take responsibility. Hasn't worked right since day 1. Piece of garbage, in my opinion.

Bought a desktop computer from Acer (Acer Aspire) about 9 months ago. Worked ok, last month it would not power on. Contacted Acer and since it's under warranty was told to return it so we did. I called to follow up and was told they are NOT going to repair because they found a roach. They sent a picture of the inside of another computer with a roach on its back. 3. The picture of the inside of the computer they sent was not ours, it looked very old. We know this because we have 2 Acer same model. So we sent them by a picture of the one at home which is about 2 years old and there's no comparison. The repairs department is lying. I believe they just didn't want to fix it. I would not recommend buying from Acer, find a more reputable company.
