I'm boycotting Chanpion Petfoods for price fixing. I'm boycotting Acana! I have Wheaten Terrier who gets tired of even high quality food after a few months, plus she can detect slightest change in formulation. We tried Acana. She loved all 3 flavors that I bought up until the last bag, which she avoided upon opening. Something changed(company moved to Kentucky), sources must have changed the taste?. She did begin eating it, but with less vigor. I discovered that Acana's owner company, Chanpion Petfoods, refuses to sell to any seller that offers bulk discounts, or any discounts, to customers. So, no buy 3 get one free . . . no 20% off on first purchase, allowed by Champion. In other words, Champion is a company that price fixes. I refuse to support any company that price fixes. It's anti competition. . . anti-consumer. I will never buy a Chanpion Petfood until they stop price fixing. There are too many other great companies that make great food AND allow stores to discount if they want to.

Changing Formula AGAIN We have fed our dogs Acana Wild Prarie for many years. Acana changed it's formula a couple years ago. Now they're doing it again. An Acana rep. told us this morning they have a new plant in Kentucky & claims the new formula is better. We are moving on to Taste of the Wild. 5 star rating by professional dog food critic. And the cost is just slighty more than half the cost Of Acana.

Worth the $$$ Was looking to switch it up with my Lab. She is itching much less, I've noticed less shed, and I've been able to back off on supplements I was adding to her prior food.

Excellent food but expensive for my budget ACANA is an excellent dry dog food if you have the money to pay for it. I switched to Taste Of The Wild / Salmón and it is also excellent quality and better price. The stools are firm, and my dogs like it. They pass their Biannual Vet visit with flying colors.

So Far So Good with my Picky Eaters My terriers don't usually want to eat any kind of kibble, but they will go for Acana brand - especially with a little of their favorite wet food to mix in with it.

TankabbottReallyArrived Cant praise this enough have had terrible trouble with our Maltese terrier having very bad allergies . Having tried various hyperallegic dog foods this is by far the best ever . We have had no more itching the biting of his paw so worth the money will be keeping on this brand from now on . Highly recommend from someone who has tried many dog foods for the past two years

Great for healthy meals and treats. Your dog will thank you! We raw food feed our dog and use the kibble as training treats. He loves it! I would definitely recommend this product.

Acana Grain Free This is a great quality product but it is too rich for my dog. We slowly worked the food into our dog's diet but it almost immediately constipated him. We tried canned pumpkin to get him regular again but nothing helped. We finally gave up after he had severe diahrrea. This company uses great ingredients, just be sure that your dog can handle food that is this high in protein.

Glad I switched from Science Diet! I bought Acana Pacifica cat and dog food for our cat and dog. They were both raised on Science Diet. I thought SD was a good brand. I've noticed my cat eats substantially less with Acana, not because he doesn't like it, which he does, but because Acana seems to keep him satisfied longer. Also, his kitty litter doesn't smell anywhere near as bad as it did with SD. Our dog now eats all his food at once rather than waiting till he is so hungry he has to eat, as he has done for years with SD. Our dog also seems to defecate a lot more easily and his feces is wet. Our dog always had to strain to defecate with SD and his feces started becoming very dry and hard with SD -- that's why I decided to finally research dog and cat food brands. I am really glad I made the decision to switch their food to Acana. Yes, the food is more expensive than SD but they eat less and eat better and do seem happier.

Did not suit my dogs needs This food did not suit my dog at all! We ade sure we changed his food over gradually and was expecting a runny tummy. However my dogs stomach problems continued and I noticed he had become very quiet and not himself at all.I feel that Acana Pacifica Dog Dry Mix was a bit too rich for my dog and not at all suitable for a dog with a sensitive stomach. I would warn anyone looking to change their dogs food if their dog has a sensitive stomach Acana Pacifica Dry Dog Mix is not the food for you!

My dog loves this food. My dog is a picky eater and doesn't eat any dog food that i would get for her. She refused to eat dog food until i got her this dog food. She eats it as soon as it is put in the bowl. This is a great sized bag to try it out and see if your dog likes it. I'm so happy i found a dog food my dog likes.

My Dog Jumps for This Food Great product. My dog literally leaps in the air for this food. Since switching over to a no grain, heavy fish food she has developed a much healthier coat, sheds less and maintains a lean and active lifestyle. Bravo for Acana and I fully support their mission to deliver grain free pet food and help our four-legged friends live healthy and wonderful lives! This is truly a great product!

Acana Pacifica, an outstanding food! I have a 1 yr old Portuguese Water Dog who has had a couple of issues with food. First, she doesn't tolerate much in the way of grain. So any foods containing grains, even "easy to digest" foods with rice were a no-go for her. I then tried a wonderful dehydrated food (which my 2 bichon girls do wonderfully on) but it still did not work for her. Even the grain free formulas made her poop 4 large stools a day. She was always going!Next issue is slightly dry and flakey skin. It is clearning up now on Acana and her coat looking super shiny!I do add raw food 'toppers' such as meat, egg, yogurt, organ meats for extra nutrition. Makes me feel like I'm spoiling them a bit- and it's about a Tablespoon on top of her kibbles.Poop issue now that she is on Acana- not an issue! Poops very small and firm twice a day right after meals. Never any burping, gas or gurgling tummy either. Good stuff!
