This company send you through so much. On a policy, they have no problem collecting payments on. A loved one was murdered, they wanted the police report, autopsy, death certificate and more. Like what? Why isn’t the death certificate enough, AARP? People are already grieving but hey you don’t care! Plus on going investigations, HOMICIDE you can’t get a police report but you all aren’t hip to that yet!

AARP was supposed to deduct premiums from my wifes account for her policy and my account for mine. I have talked to aarp reps 4 separate times and they still take all the money out of one account. These people would put a screen door on a submarine.

Paid to to become a member of AARP for the rewards purchase gift cards that were never received. My credit card has been charge multiple times with over ***** dollars in charges when asked to speak with a supervisor and escalate my concerns I was told they would generate a message to tech support and management and I would receive a call back . Customer ********************** was of no help ,had no answers and were rude. I have not heard back anything from anyone from aarp. I would never recommend this company and now have to involve my credit card company with this mess!

If I could give 0 stars I would. AARP travel overcharged us for our Alaska Cruise. It took months, hours on the phone and email to get our $ back. Now we are on the cruise and our on board credit that we were promised when we booked is not on our account. We've called twice from the ship and today was told to call when we get home to get our credit. What?!? Never again will I use AARP to book anything. Terrible customer ********************** and lying employees!!!

AARP article on chronic pain contains (Bulletin June 2024) contains misinformation. Any attempt to post accurate data from the *** or other websites is blocked. The article tells the patient to accept pain. Shameful and wrong. I quote "as a human, you want pain. pain is a protector it's good for your in certain situations. Ultimately the goal is to live well despite your pain status. It's not resigning to the fact that you are in pain but focusing on priortizing other aspects of your life and what matters most." As a chronic pain sufferer these words cut like a knife. These statements blame the patient for being in pain. AARP is preventing pain patients from receiving legitimate care. Check out their statement on TENS then read that there is no proof that TENS works.

AARP promotes companies like ****************** and Affinity cellular. Both of those companies are horrible! AARP isn't much better. I save $2 per month off Consumer cellular and the only other time I get to use my discount is at *******. Big deal. Most of the free gifts they give you for your membership are cheap junk.

I was tricked to believe that I got 6 Fair air round trip tickets if buying a package deal to ******. I am 76 years old and I was rushed by the timer to book and did not have time to compare but believe and trusted that AARP was getting Seniors a fair cost of airline tickets. Not so. When I printed the itinerary it only showed package cost no break down with only 24 hours to cancel. When I received my hard copy credit card statement the following billing cycle, I saw that the cost of air fare per ticket exceeded mid range normal cost to hawaii which is $500 to $550. Could be less at times with specials. I was charged the highest cost of $816 per ticket and I purchased 6 for me and my family. I was outraged and felt scammed by AARP to believe I got a decent fare. If AARP is really looking out for seniors rates should be negotiated so Airlines charge us mid range or less. I feel AARP should issue a refund of $200 per ticket to my credit card since Airline is not responding to my request to get a lower fare. I would be OK if cost is reduced to $616 per tickets which is still above medium price. I have been a member for 27 years and I am disappointed to have been taken advantage in such a way. I hope AARP will do the right thing as I am struggling but this was to be our last chance to travel as a family together. This was my first time using your travel services and was trusting your agency to get seniors fair cost of travel. It wasn't and my itinerary doesnt even show the flight # only confirmation #. This is totally wrong not to be transparent when issuing itenuary for us to review immediately the breakdown cost. Please you should accept some responsibilty for this injustice and unfair practice. I pray that this will reach a person that care about seniors and understand the harm this is causing me financially. It is so unfair that Hotels can be refunded but Airlines locks people in. I hope you agree to refund $200 per ticket

Do not order gift cards from them for carnival cruises. I paid for the gift cards and they state within 24 hrs of business hours you should receive the card numbers. I called them everyday for almost a week and they keep giving me the run around. They tell me they have sent it to my email blah blah and it never gets sent. I have offered another email to try to send it to and they tell me no. I had to make a dispute with my bank over this. Nothing but a pain. Be aware

This is a total scam! AARP sent me once a week a "guaranteed" quote of $35 a month for a $50,000 policy at my age (52). I sent in all the paperwork and voided check. I received a bill for $51.01 a month. I called AARP and was transferred to a woman who barely spoke English (India) and kept repeating the terms of the policy. After the third time, I told her "I know the terms already, why is it $15 dollars more than the guaranteed rate". She finally transferred me back to a English-speaking person who said "We have to record of that $35 a month rate." I told her, "I'm looking at it, you mailed it to me", she denied that AARP even mailed it to me... AARP is a waste and a scam...STAY AWAY!

AARP endorsed a company called Lifeline, which is an alert system for seniors. My elderly father chose this company only because AARP endorsed them. Lifeline has been a nightmare to work with. I opened an account in February 2024, my father did not care for their system, so I payed for and returned their equipment. As of May 8 th Lifeline is still billing my father for there service. I have called them multiple times to close the account without success. Lifeline appears to be a company which takes advantage of the elderly population. I would never recommend Lifeline and very disappointed it is advertised in AARP.*****

This is the absolute worse experience with any company I've ever had. To put it bluntly they stink. Stay clear of this company!!! The phone service is the worse ever. Plus after you are with them for a few years they double your premium and lower your benefits. I do not in any way recommend this company. This company signifies much of what is wrong with service in America today. Non existent.

I am not positive this is the place for this, but could not find another AARP site to post on. I rented a car with Payless Car Rental in ********* through AARP/Expedia. Payless was the worst-- they charged us $550 for a cleaning fee because of "ashes in the car." This was literally impossible. They claimed they had a video but did not produce it when I asked. Long story short, our credit card company was able to recoup half of the amount, but we are out $250. I wanted to bring this to your attention because there are SO many reviews about Payless that state this very kind of fraudulent behavior. It makes me not trust that AARP partners are vetted as well as they should be. The Better Business Bureau issued this warning in 2017: ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************(I realize it is my responsibility to read reviews ahead of time, but I assumed since it was associated with AARP that Payless was reputable.)

AARP UnitedHealthcare is a FRAUD. I signed up for AARP UnitedHealthcare Plan G policy and AARP quoted one price and raised that price. I agreed to pay the higher price. Setup automatic payment and one month later AARP canceled my policy and did not inform me. The cancelation was not discovered until I needed an emergency gallbladder surgery. I ended up paying over $1100.00 for the surgery. When I called AARP the representative ********** refused to cooperate and refused to let me speak to his supervisor or the accounting or legal department after repeated requests, then hung up on me. AARP is supposed to be helping seniors, if this helping seniors I don't need their help.

I have been a member of AARP for ********************************************************************************************* my best interests. Therefore, on their advice, I chose The Hartford as my insurance company for home and auto. I recently received a bill from The Hartford that I found excessive so I requested a price quote from ********** that was less than 1/2 of my billing from the ******** for better insurance coverage! Why would AARP sponsor an insurance company that cheats their members?? I am so very disappointed and feel betrayed by an organization that I thought I could trust.

AARP is threatening me because I cancelled their service. They are going to now send me excessive emails and sell my information to numerous companies. This is a desperate & pathetic organization for punishing their former senior customers if they dare cancel their subscription. I will report them to every possible website if they dare to carry out their threat. Their reviews reflect extremely poorly on them. Actually what they do is childish behavior of revenge.
