AARP and its affiliates DOES FALSE ADVERTISEMENT So that you can click bait and get them as a Medicare advantage plan under uhc!! They promise those FOOD Allowance cards to seniors through social media up to 2000 to ***** dollars and when you call the number they tell you with certain Medicare advantage plans you are allowed which AARP was one. The agent promised 50 dollars every month towards that's thats why I accepted AARP! It's a LIE. 2 months with the card you get 0 dollars!! Don't fall for the ***** online that promise food allowance cards through Medicare!Save your time and Energy! False ADVERTISEMENT and they should Be SUED !!!!

This is a fraud company. Don’t use them. They will rob you for your money!!!! If you don’t have family and you have cancer and you in the hospital and the only person paying your bills is you they would not pay you but instead fight you in court not to pay due to the lack of months you was in the hospital. I’m in the process of going further with this matter!!!

I have towing service from AARP through Allstate insurance Company. It took AARP and Allstate four(4) hours for a tow truck to arrive after I had an accident, during which time I made at least 7 phones to complain that no one had come. Finally, a National Roadside Services tow truck showed up but did not have the the flatbed I had requested or other proper equipment for to complete the tow. The driver said National Roadside Equipment was cheap. AARP and Allstate then sent out a second tow truck from another company, which did not arrive for 2 1/2 more hours. When it did, the driver could not find my mechanic's address, which I had given to him and which is only about 7-8 miles away. It took 8 1/2 hours, beginning at 9:00 a.m., to when the car was finally dropped off at 5:30 p.m. for this nightmare to end.

I have had AARP for close to 3 years and at first, I was excited about the membership. But as time has gone by I have not been able to use these so-called benefits . It is very frustrating when you need help but you cant get it because it is not covered under AARP. So why continue to subscribe to AARP? When it comes time to renew I will not renew my membership.

bought a 5 year membership. Only had a couple months and used their travel service. Tried multiple times to talk to someone about helping me with issues with the car rental. i couldn't get any help...its the weekend. they respond to bad comments on their page, so i was contacted there and told how to send private messages. What they told me to do was wrong, no tabs etc where they said. So i called the helpline to help me with this and or my rental issue. The customer ********************** line does not go to *****************. The person on the other side did not understand my issue, said he couldn't transfer me to the US or even get me a supervisor. so i told this in the community as well, i was told to use the chat now...I did. After repeating myself and giving the person all kinds of info about me....all of which could have been gotten by my member number. to be told it would be 3 days before i got any help!!!!! what a crock of SH*T. told them to cancel. they are more trouble then worth. they sell a service with no customer **********************!!! Absolutely Horrible, dont waste your time or money or your sanity.

Back on August 9th, I mailed a change of ownership claim for my three accounts. On August 27th, they told me that their mailroom was backed up and they had not yet received the paperwork. They asked me to upload the documents online. On August 28th, I called and they confirmed receipt. They said that the claim would be processed within 7 business days. It has now been 28 days since I uploaded the documents and 46 days since I mailed the documents. However, the three claims have not been processed. When I call, I am put on hold for 45 minutes. They have disconnected the chat support line and their e-mail inbox.

AARP has really ****** me off how do you remove money from someones account , provide them with no product and cant explain why? Were not talking about chump change $1000 in the wind but aarp cant explain why I dont have my money or the gift cards . UNACCEPTABLE . I hope they get shut down and I would suggest ANYONE purchasing anything from the em if this is how theyre going to treat there customers . Called and spoke with an agent this morning for the ************************************************ the notes no help at all . This is so frustrating especially when its messing up your vacation . AARP IS TRASH AND I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION WITH THEM DONT IRDER ANYTHING FROM THEM

My 96 year old mother has a $5,000.00 life insurance policy that she has paid into the amount of $8803.00 up until 2019. I called yesterday to cash render her policy to help pay for healthcare and I was told the cash render amount was $4417.00. This make no sense. She has hand written notes that when she called AARP / New York Life in February 2019 they told her the money is in her Life Insurance Account and receiving interest. Now $4417.00? Agreed my mother did over pay for the policy but why did AARP / New York Life keep sending her invoices in the mail? I would think when the policy is paid in full the invoices would stop. Neither AARP or New York Life keeps track of how many payments are being paid? God forbid she missed a payment, there would be late notices everyday. If you have a 5 year car loan do you pay it for 6 1/2 years? Maybe that is why AARP / New York Life does not send out payment books. This is pretty shady.

I rely on my AARP membership for quality partners. I have reviewed the Texas auto insurance through the ****************** and have found it to be a scam. This is terrible for the AARP members.

AARP automated assistant does not work well. They have no connection to their contracted towing service providers once they establish the service request. Their online help and tracking system does not exist. It is very difficult to talk to a human at AARP. I asked to speak to a supervisor yesterday. I am still waiting a day later.

I have a family member that passed away and I tried to cancel their **************** with Delta Dental a branch of AARP. Delta Dental tried to blame AARP , but Delta Dental is a separate company. They refused to work with me, told me to call AARP. They kept me on hold at every level, transfer me four times (4) , and hung the phone up and I had to start over again. Delta Dental kept the payment even after my family member passed away and refused to refund payments. This is a Prime Example of how BIG BUISNESS can do anything they want. They are taking money from a dead person that CAN NOT AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEIR SERVICE, YET THEY TAKE PAYMENT ANY WAY. What is White Collar Crime if not the Power to Push the Individual Around.

The worst,rudest,crudest company I have ever dealt with I join AARP because they were offering a really nice gift after 5 months I called them and asked where my gift was and the lady accused me of trying to get something better but I wasn't I cancelled my membership and I hope the ****** people who read my reviews do not waist your money or time very dishonest company

There is some misleading information in the advertising of aarp, do there are some small savings almost amounts to peanuts and I do thank you for your little bit of saving.But when it comes to insurances? forget about it. in fact aarp is the most expensive! Im the best driver, I have no accidents or any traffic violations for more years than I can remember Not even a parking ticket for at list 45 years, my credit is the best, and yet I had a quote from ******** which is the most expensive from all other insurance companies! why? I drive less than 5 thousand miles a year! Your driving skills test saves again nothing they jack up the price then they make you a big favor with couple of dollars what a joke, Why are you lying to your constituents. As you say saving of 500 or 400 dollars and you list the companies that you are less expensive, another lie, I have priced from some of the insurance companys you mention, and all of them without exception are less expensive than you! this is very misleading! Or maybe what I really thought your serving the rich people who can effortlessly pay such prices, yes aarp does some good but when it comes to the most important things in the quality and affordability your the most expensive. you offer no competition with other insurance companies basically its a monopoly, this is why I think you are misleading and catering mostly to the elites! And not to the largest of your constituent's like me, I joined to save on your insurance, I got stunned with the difference in cost so really when it comes to big savings? You offer none, shame on you misleading people who really could use some help when it comes to the more expensive things in life. Why?!

This has been nothing short of a nightmare for 2 months trying to jump through their hoops to qualify for the Advanced early benefit, which, according to my policy, I have. I would receive 1/2 payout now, to use for home health, meds, etc, and the other half to my beneficiary upon my death. They have made my oncologist, my doctor through hospice, as well as myself jump through every single hoop and put us off for weeks and weeks. Their insurance examiner has promised to call for the last three weeks. Conveniently, it’s always on a Friday, when they say they’re going to call and guess what? They never call. They’re never open on the weekends. Mondays roll around again and another week ticks by. In the meantime, I am dying, I have less than 6 months to live, and it is all documented. Shame on them. They should not be allowed to be affiliated with AARP let alone sell life insurance to senior citizens. To me, it is a SCAM. I’ve had this policy with no pre-existing conditions for almost 8 years.

This organization has to be one of the worse grifters out there. They constantly sent me renewals even though I had 2 years left on my subscription. They probably hope you cant remember anything and will renew. I bought Hartford Home and ************** through them. I had a terrible experience when I had to make a claim for my home. The insurance is much higher than their competitors. They constantly raise the rates. I wish Id seen all the thousands of horrible reviews about ******** before dealing with them. Despite the bad reviews AARP continues to tout this company. Also purchased UHC health care supplemental. Through AARP. The premiums are higher than their competitors and their website is terrible. Good luck trying to call for help. Im going to find other companies for insurance as soon as possible. Please look around before buying anything associated with them. Dont make the same mistake thinking AARP is working to help the senior population and working in your best interest. AARP has left me feeling absolutely disgusted.

Can't seem to get any help from their 800 number. I called at least five times trying to get details on the benefits from aarp.org. They sent me a flyer listing the benefits of membership that sparked the original questions. The only thing the original phone cue people could do was welcoming with a script but as soon as I switched over to my questions they were uninformed. Both times they tried to transfer me to some higher level the call was disconnected on their end. Their claims seem to be many but they're delivery on their claim seems to be very watered down. I don't see the benefit of joining such an organization.

I joined aarp and was supposed to recieve a free $25 ******* gift card. When I inquired about it they said I will get a bag. I have not received the gift card or the bag. I had joined some years back and was supposed to recieve a gift that I also never received. I didn't join just to get the free gifts but I do feel like this is false advertising.

My mother passed away May 26, 2024. I was her poa before death, and executor after. She wanted her beneficiary changed 5 days before she passed, as her husband (the then beneficiary) was in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. We did this online at her request. We notified them of her death, and sent all requested documents. We have gotten nothing but a runaround and are being told still 2 months later, it is under review. She paid her premiums for almost 19 years, and now they won’t pay the small 10k policy. They are making a terrible time in our lives even worse. Would never recommend this company to anyone!
