I've been waiting to come to this location for a few months now, I had tried one in Brooklyn and was somewhat dissatisfied with the food quality so I figured I would try this one to give it a shot again. I came at 10 P.M with lots of hope, sat down and the food was somehow worse in comparison to it's sister location in Brooklyn. The steak and meat seem ok but for 30 bucks it seems pretty low quality. The atmosphere is ok, it's loud but the service is ok. It's typical AYCE servers with some being more attending than others. My issue laid was at the end when paying, it was 20 minutes off of being my birthday and I was charged entirely full price and told that I was not going to be given any deal. I was surprised as I had called this location prior to check and I also assumed since it would officially be my birthday in 15 minutes when I paid. it would not be a massive deal, my partner who accompanied me comes here very often biweekly so I was astonished they would fight me over something that is a courtesy like birthday especially as he's a regular. Overall I'm really disappointed and annoyed me and my friends will not be back at this location for our upcoming birthday's and celebrations.
NEVER have I ever experienced the WORST hot pot in my entire life. First we were seated at the table and they kept rushing us multiple times to order soup base but we were still looking at the menu. We finally order our soup base and other menu items and the server basically disappeared. One of the servers come back and ask what soup bases we order and then leaves but comes back with meat and we are still waiting for the soup base. Soup base should be the first food item that comes out. Secondly, the wifi was awful and none of the food items were ordered except for the meat through so we had to reorder. We had to wait 20 more minutes after the meat was served to get our soup bases but even after that the rest of the food never came until a server came back to ask if we had ordered anything else. None of the servers looked like they knew what they were doing except one. When the food finally there were not only extra servings of food we never ordered but also we received a plate of food that was meant for another table. One of our party members ordered rice cakes and never received it for at least 40 minutes until we asked. We asked a server for spoons for the hot pot because every other table received these spoons except for us. We asked for five of these spoons; however, not only did we receive the wrong spoons (normal soup spoons not made for hot pot), but we also only got three instead of five. Nobody comes back and refills our water the whole time until at least an hour and a half later (by the server who actually looks like he knows what he is doing). Also, one server knocked over one of our party member’s water cup and never apologized. They never gave a proper introduction or told us about any gratuity or time limit, so after two hours the server rudely drops the bill on the table without a word. Nobody gives us time checks. The customer service was terrible. We did not have a good time and were constantly stressed about getting the proper food items. How can self order ayce hot pot place have the worst customer service?? It’s worse because the servers were not even rude but just terrible at their job. I would never recommend this place and would never come here again.
