L’atmosfera della struttura è molto accogliente e curata nei dettagli: gli ambienti sono arredati con gusto e offrono spazi comuni come un salotto condiviso con gli altri ospiti e un bellissimo giardino esterno con tavolini, perfetto per godersi il sole e momenti di relax all’aperto. Inoltre sono sempre disponibili caffè, acqua calda per farsi una tisana e frutta freaca. La camera è spaziosa, ben organizzata e dispone di un ampio bagno con doccia, che garantisce comfort e privacy. Il letto era davvero comodissimo! La proprietaria si è dimostrata estremamente gentile e disponibile, contribuendo a rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La colazione, anche in versione vegetariana, viene servita nel salotto comune ed è preparata al momento con cura e attenzione, regalando un’esperienza semplice ma davvero piacevole per iniziare la giornata.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Nantucket Whale Inn in Half Moon Bay, and it was a wonderful experience. Located downtown it offers the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and location with a great coastal charm. My room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with great amenities. The bed was comfortable, the room was nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beautiful outdoor patio area is perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying a cup of coffee. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Half Moon Bay, and I can’t wait to return to this special place in the future. Thank you, Nantucket Whale Inn, for a memorable stay!

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Boutique-Hotel in Half Moon Bay war einfach traumhaft! Wir kommen aus Deutschland und haben das Hotel auf Empfehlung gebucht. Wir wurden mit einem Erlebnis belohnt, das all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen hat. Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist ein echtes Highlight: superschön, gemütlich und trotzdem modern – eine perfekte Mischung aus Stil und Komfort.
Der Service war absolut top! Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Die Liebe zum Detail, die in allen Bereichen des Hotels zu spüren ist, hat unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht.
Wir würden dieses kleine, feine Boutique-Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Selten haben wir uns an einem Ort so wohlgefühlt und sind überglücklich, dass wir uns für dieses Juwel in der Half Moon Bay entschieden haben. Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit!
Absolutely the cutest bed & breakfast ever. So cozy & welcoming. Staff for our check in was amazing giving us a tour of the place and explaining all the amenities. Assured us she was there for us until 6pm her clock out time. So convenient for walking down Main Street and being walking distance for dinner and drinks. We stayed in Great Point room. It was perfect!

My husband and I stayed at the Nantucket Whale Inn and I cannot say enough about the incredible, freshly made breakfast that was not only delicious, but accommodated a food allergy. Definitely recommend!

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here and we were gifted a bottle of brut by our host for this… very sweet. We stayed two nights over a weekend. This place is VERY clean and beautiful. I have high standards. Upon arrival we rang the door bell as instructed and were greeted by our host who showed us around and to our room. We stayed in the smallest room but we didn’t need much bedroom space as there is a beautiful backyard to spend time in and games are provided. The room was basic but very clean with thoughtful touches throughout. The bed was comfortable enough, a bit firm and dated perhaps but after a couple glasses of wine we slept well! The bathroom is detached but we could lock it with our key. We didn’t think this was necessary, the other guests were very respectful and didn’t use our bathroom. Our second day there we noticed new guests were showing up but they weren’t greeted by anyone - just directed to their room over the phone . We were happy that we had a different check in experience as it made us feel welcome and comfortable. After the first day we never saw the host again… this seemed a bit odd. We did really enjoy the wine that was provided in the evenings… a generous touch (not that it’s cheap to stay here). The breakfast was ok… loved the granola but I was given a vegan breakfast when I just specified that I don’t eat meat. I eat eggs. I don’t eat “fake” meat or “fake” eggs so I wasted that entire part of the meal, which I felt bad about. The fake eggs tasted like ramen noodle seasoning and were rubbery. My boyfriend was served scrambled eggs when the other breakfast guests were given sunny side up eggs. He doesn’t care for scrambled so he ended up wasting it too. They didn’t ask him how he wanted his food or give him any options. We don’t force ourselves to eat food we don’t want and didn’t request. It would be nice if we could “ordered” what we wanted for breakfast or if we had been given more of a choice. Breakfast is HALF of the bed and breakfast experience and you are paying for this when you stay here. We skipped breakfast the next morning, not worth waiting around for.
I also want to note that a family with kids stayed here at the same time and we didn’t notice or hear the kids at all past their check in. It seems they can accommodate families while still giving space to couples which I appreciate.
Things that could be improved are:
1. overall host presence — never saw her again after the first day.
2. Consistency — They never restocked the water bottles the second day so it just seemed like they were very generous to begin with then their generosity dwindled out which comes across as weird and inconsistent customer service. How are you going to give wine but not have any filtered or bottled water available to accompany it? The folks who checked in on Saturday weren’t even greeted. This b&b is under new management as of a couple years ago… I wonder if the hosts before were more present and consistent.
3. Breakfast — give guests a list of what you are offering and let them choose what they want. If you are running a b&b the breakfast should be on point and delicious… also I’m glad we got the first time slot for breakfast because they can only serve a few people at a time…
I would consider staying here again but for the money we spent we would check other options for more consistent service. Overall a good experience but there were a few areas certainly lacking.

My wife and I stayed at the Nantucket Whale Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary and are so glad that we did. We are North Bay residents and wanted a low-key relaxing getaway and Half Moon Bay certainly fit the bill. While it was a holiday weekend and the weather was beautiful, activity in the heart of downtown was lively, but not overcrowded. Our stay at the NWI couldn't be more perfect. The staff was welcoming and hospitable, the room was spacious, comfortable, spotless and pristine throughout, and the breakfast was served fresh and delicious. Parking on-site or on the street was always available. Shopping and dining were just a short walk away, but far enough to provide lots of peace and quiet. The only time we needed to get in the car was to drive about a mile to the beach to watch the sunset. It's hard to believe this experience is just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend the NWI, and will surely be back again.

Super cute Bed and Breakfast! I was pleasantly surprised of how special this place is - I loved our King size room. Bed was comfortable, cozy fireplace, clean and accommodating. I will stay here again and I recommend.
