I would like to thank the doctor Adeeb Alshahrour for his kind treatment and patience and for explaining all the details accurately. I want to thank him for his honesty in providing me with the appropriate treatment. I have suffered more than four months to find an honest doctor who has experience in my medical condition, but every time I go to a doctor, he wants to take a procedure that is not appropriate for me for a day. I found Dr. Adeeb and he helped me find the right and quick solution for me. He changed my life for the better. I advise everyone to visit this wonderful doctor.

I have several issues with how my prenatal appointment went with doctor Alshahrour. One, the doctor took a phone call during my ultrasound. This meant that he used one hand to hold a device inside of my body while he used the other hand to hold his phone. This was unsanitary and gave me intense anxiety about bacterial transfer, not to mention his multitasking resulted in chaotic movements that caused pain to my insides. It was also very unprofessional. The doctor also left the room while I was fully exposed from the waist down, curtains not drawn, leaving my naked body in view of anyone who walked by in the office. I received blood tests without being informed that this would happen, and I did not know the purpose of those blood tests. Very disappointing and anxiety inducing experience. I appreciate the medical student who did her best to provide me with a comfortable, safe and sanitary experience, but the doctor himself did not hold himself to the same standard. Also, the three front desk receptionists ignored me upon entering the building. I do not recommend this office if you are pregnant.

Doctor saved me and my baby!! He’s very nice and patient. Whenever I was unsure about my health he had the right answers. He doesn’t rush appointments and he makes sure he checks you thoroughly.

I can't express enough how grateful I am to Dr. Adeeb Alshahrour and the entire team at the Women's Health Center of Chicago. I recently had my first child, my son David, at Saint Anthony Hospital in March. As a first-time mom, I was pretty nervous, but Dr. Alshahrour was incredible from day one. Throughout my pregnancy, Dr. Alshahrour was always there to answer my questions and reassure me, making sure I felt comfortable and informed. His calm and professional demeanor during labor was a huge comfort and made the whole experience much easier. The staff at the Women's Health Center is also amazing. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Every visit felt like I was among friends who genuinely cared about my well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Adeeb Alshahrour and his clinic to anyone looking for excellent prenatal and obstetric care in Chicago. Thank you for making this special time in my life so positive and memorable! Adriana & David

Very kind man, very intelligent. I’m aware he is not a Hispanic man or Spanish, however he was able to speak Spanish with me and my husband so he could understand our pregnancy better. He probably speaks at least 6 languages fluently. Every time I have been to his office I have cried (hormones + seeing ultrasounds = tears) and he has treated me with so much compassion.

Rushed rushed rushed. I came to the Women's HealthCare Center of Chicago seeking treatment for extreme hormonal imbalance and PMDD treatment. Prior to this appointment I was taking Yasmin to help ease what I described to him and the male assistant Dr. that I can now compare giving birth twice to my menstrual cramps, fatigue, and that fun monthly 1 to 2.5 weeks of the total inability to do much of anythingy from 9 to 12 until I was recommended BC at the age of 12 for period hormone balance. During this vitals, they performed a pap, and suddenly prescribed me "lo loestrin fe" containing none of the hormones needed (focussing on Drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) of what is needed and then told me at the age of 37 it's more healthy to go through my periods. "lo loestrin fe" is a basic birth control exactly what I described I was not taking this medicine for. Okay, I get he's a gynecologist, but this is a male who will never understand the extreme effects menstruation can cause. I did not feel listened to or treated as an individual case so please look elsewhere if you need this type of extreme help. If you need birth control he's your guy. It may be my opinion but I feel I was just thrown onto Lo Loestragen because of Dr. $ incentive per endorsed prescription to kickback birth control, not hormonal assistance. If you want to read on (as I'm not here to rant and usually don't give my opinion) I'm going to switch to Yaz (the only oral PMDD treatment approved by the FDA, but not offered by Woman's Health of Chi.), and listed below are the symptoms I felt from the "lo loestrin fe" I've been taking for a little over 3 weeks now (at least it turned out way way way way way WAY better than my Depo shot outcome 2011!!) MESSAGE TO Dr. Adeeb Alshahrour: Symptoms I get to enjoy daily through this rushed contraceptive prescribed to me for my PMDD and extreme hormonal imbalance. . . . Lacking and taking away the drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol that my last prescription did contain. If you desire to read my symptoms please read on, otherwise, I am not one to put forth any medical testimonial only pure found self-diagnosis and symptom description: Severe hunger cramps especially in the morning have been an issue however since the medication change I have to lay down for at least 10 to 20 minutes accompanying extreme heartburn with ANYTHING consumed including liquid where there is no in-between, inability to sleep restlessness through my body (hence why writing this at 2 a.m.), on the fourth week of what I remember as "period hemroids" whereas the "taint" feels so inflamed it hurts to sit down and constipated liquid bubbles erupt up to 12 times per day (. . . resulting in many accidents), muscle soreness and fatigue, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, outbursts of anger, disruption of what started to somewhat feel a normal life (as was on Yasmin for the last 3.5 years) hormonal welts that I can only self diagnose as erythema nodosum as I described has occurred badly, especially when on the depo shot, skin tenderness, and tearing, pimples, and thick dark menstrual blood for the last two weeks. I am reposting this as I removed my review, but have been so depressed. I have three ongoing hormonal welts occurring after ending Yasmin birth control, a lot like those extremely caused from the Depo Provera. Although not as extreme, the first tender red swollen whelp could be seen AND FELT within 48 hrs. of it beginning. Now I just rub my legs and arms hoping they are just bruises. But thanks for the birthday automated well wishes. Would have preferred a call back 5 days ago rather than a birthday wish. Hard to celebrated.

First a heads up: This is a teaching clinic! I totally didn’t mind. The student PA’s were very sweet and it was nice to be a part of their learning process. The physician, whose name I won’t even try to butcher, was warm and cheery. I truly liked his cares d bedside manner. Despite the poor reviews I’ve seen. I was skeptical because of that reason but pleasantly surprised. All the while he was teaching and interacting with multiple students at a time, he still managed to observe a task that was left undone by his staff and had the issue corrected immediately (the US machine wasn’t cleaned from the previous patient) He was extremely efficient. Quickly came to me, identified my reason for being there, ordered the necessary tests, completed a Pap smear and scheduled my follow up procedures all within a reasonable amount of time. His ability to give concise and direct information is something that I really appreciated. I will say though, it was a little strange having several people in the room during a Pap smear. All of them….. with their attention directly placed to my pelvic area, with a spot light. Lol. The entire staff was great. I highly recommend this women’s center for OB/gyn care.

Just a heads up, this is a teaching clinic. The Dr. was wonderful. He seems like he truly has a love for what he does. So much so that he sees patients in a timely manner and still manages to direct his students efficiently. I will tell you that it was a little strange having a Pap smear done with multiple people in the room but for the sake of learning, i didn’t mind. I overheard him instruct an employee to clean the US machine because they had forgotten to do so after the last patient. That showed me that even tho he was busy, he was constantly aware of the functions of his clinic. That’s a big deal for me. He was concise but informative and the student PA’s were very nice and seemed eager to learn. I too am an instructor in the medical field and I have very high standards, this facility and its staff impressed me a lot. The only downfall is a lack of parking and its location. Other than that, I recommend this facility 100%.
