Weleges place is such a gem! It is by far the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. It is a small boutique hotel, I think it only has 8 rooms. It is set just off the main road, so you have total peace, and it is still only a short 4 minute walk to the beach. I can't say enough positive things about Weleges. We loved our stay so much, my sister even moved from her hotel on the second day! The value for money here is incredible, the rooms are huge, well designed, clean and comfortable. One whole wall is glass which leads out to a private balcony which is about half the size of the room. The bathroom is one I would love in my own home. The shower is sectioned off by glass along a whole wall and you have a ceiling and a normal shower. The pressure and temperature were great. The AC works excellently, and there is also a fan. Lots of extras like a TV, fridge, shoe rack, chairs on the balcony. I don't have a photo of the bedroom as by the time I thought of it we had our stuff everywhere and it wouldn't have done it justice but the photos the owners have put up show it perfectly. The hotel is on it's own plot of land, and you can only enter through the gate in the front, so you feel very safe. There is always someone available for anything you might need, beach towels, blankets, etc. Staff is very attentive and kind and they also have security at night. The wifi was the best we had in our whole trip. It didn't drop or cause us issues once despite this seemingly being the norm in Sri Lanka. I couldn't think of a single negative thing to say about Weleges place. We loved our stay and will recommend it to anyone coming to Hikkaduwa

Super saubere und neue Anlage mit sehr freundlichem Personal. ☺Sehr saubere Unterkunft mit hochwertiger Ausstattung. Vielfältiges Frühstück und sehr nettes Personal. Wir waren rundherum zufrieden und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen. ☹Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe einer Bahnlinie, auf der gelegentlich Züge verkehren (nicht nachts).

Delicious breakfast for affordable price. Owners were so lovely and sweet. I would like to come back next time. ☹ As in last comments people wrote, I would recommend to put some shelves in bathroom for shampoo and shower gel, cuz it’s little bit uncomfortable to put it on floor, wasn’t for me big problem though.

Immaculate ☺ Very clean and modern. Nice staff and good location. Great room and balcony. One of the best places we stayed. ☹ Should provide tea and coffee if providing a kettle and cups. Also should provide toiletries as by the sea. Small shampoo, shower gel etc.

Комфортно, чисто, приятно ☺Очень чистые и просторные номера. Есть адаптеры для европейской зарядки. Убирались каждый день. Есть теплая вода в душе, с хорошим напором. Хороший свет в ванной. Очень вкусные завтраки. Понравилось, что владелец отеля интересовался нашим фидбеком и учитывал его (например, мы просили на завтрак рис - на следующий день был рис). Стафф отеля очень приятный, дружелюбный, со всем помогали, рассказали как лучше дойти до пляжа и на каких автобусах добраться до Галле. Пляж Хиккадувы и черепаший пляж в 5 минутах от отеля. ☹Отсутствует гель для душа и шампунь, зубная паста. Для нас это не была проблема, все взяли с собой. Учитывайте это при бронировании отеля. Также воду дали в первый день, далее не оставляли бутылок, мы сами покупали. Но также не скажу, что это проблема. Вода дешевая, мы каждый вечер гуляли и купить её можно где угодно. Завтрак хотя и очень вкусный, но немного однообразный, давали разные десерты (местные лепешки, вафли, блинчики), но всегда были яйца. Мы попросили разнообразить - сразу же так и сделали)))

Exceptional ☺ This is an amazing hotel! Very clean. The room is cleaned every day. Beautiful courtyard. Amazing breakfast! Nice and courteous staff! And the location of the hotel is good. A cozy street. 5 minutes from the beach. There are good cafes and restaurants nearby. I'm thrilled❤️

Beautiful, highly recommend ☺ Everything was beautiful! Thank you very much! Stayed for 4 days after arriving from our flight and it was really beautiful. Staff was so nice and breakfast was always a bit different and always tasty! The rooms got cleaned everyday while we were at the beach and overall it was a beautiful experience:)

So pleased we found this place! ☺ The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, location is very close to the beach, airport shuttle was on time, room was large and very clean, great value for money... Like a home from home! Would definitely visit again and will recommend to our friends ☹ There is nothing not to like, the only small things we would have liked more would be to have some shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, tea bags and coffee with the kettle and the option to pay by card.

Had a really great time at Chandima’s place. Near from everything including the diving centre I used. Room was clean and tidy and all staff were friendly. I went to Hikkaduwa for diving but after one diving. I had some issue with my ear and Chandima even helped me to find and call a doctor to see. Breakfast, cleaning, location, friendly staff, and the ambiance (about 1-2 mins walk from the main road thus quite and peaceful. I liked it very much), everything was good and definitely I will stay Chandima’s when I’m back in Hikkaduwa! Plus, one unexpected pleasant thing I found there is the restaurant right in front of the villa: Cafe de Paris. The best food I’ve ever had over my two months’ stay in Sri Lanka.

Perfekt! ☺Die ganze Anlage ist sehr neu, schön und sauber, was dementsprechend auch für das Zimmer und insbesondere das wirklich tolle Bad gilt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr sehr nett und hilfsbereit! ☹Das Hotel liegt an den Gleisen, der Zug ist - die anderen Bewertungen kann ich insoweit bestätigen - manchmal laut hörbar. Ich fand das aber nicht weiter schlimm.

☺Удобное месторасположение, близко к пляжу и магазинам, но без шума. Номера лучше на втором этаже, тк есть балкон. Очень хорошее отношение к гостям, стараются пойти навстречу по всем вопросам. Очень чисто, напротив хорошее семейное кафе с небольшим, но очень вкусным меню. ☹Все было хорошо.
