Before building we had toured a lot of models and attended the home show. We had an idea of what we wanted and had narrowed the choice to two builders. We sat down with Christina and went over what we were looking for. She called a few weeks later and had architectural plans. We did adjust and tweak them. They did assign us an interior designer to work with which reduced the stress of all the choices immensely. We met periodically for 2-3 hours to choose specific items like tile, floors and counters etc. Spreading it out made it less stressful and overwhelming. I’m very happy with our choices. The house finished a little ahead of time. We were very available and timely with making our choices too so things could be ordered. If you do decide to upgrade some things your home price will increase and I believe there is a percentage fee for changes. My only advice is when you sign originally really look at details of what you’ve got and any upgrades you might want. For instance we didn’t realize we agreed to a wood burning fireplace instead of gas. We wanted all our showers tiled and one wasn’t so we had to upgrade. Also make sure if you get tile for any back splashes like bar area. Also the dishwasher included doesn’t dry dishes well per the dealer so that was an upgrade. If you want a real high end stove do that upfront to avoid change fees later. We kept a list of non urgent issues for the 120 day and 13 month warranty issues. They were addressed over the course of a few months. We overall are very happy with our home.

Wedgewood is not perfect, but their people do strive to make the building experience less stressful. Their warranty service is top grade. Our only disappointment was with the owners. Not once in the 7 month project did they take the time to meet and greet. Not a deal breaker, but not good customer service.

It's hard to summarize a year's worth of experiences in a custom build. But if I had to choose a few words to capture our experience it would be professional, attentive, and thoughtful. This is our second home with the team; and the 2nd home build did not disappoint. The design process started with Jeff Myers who is part sales architect, part psychiatrist. Jeff is a great listener and really knows how to communicate a client's wishes back to the architectural team. He knows how to balance vision with the practicality of cost. The entire architectural team (ours led by Lisa Baker) were so talented. My husband and I would joke that there is no way that WBC would be able to solve a particular design challenge and yet somehow a week later, they would have a wonderful proposition (a solution we could have never dreamed up ourselves). Once construction started, Sam Gadbury led the charge. We could not have been luckier to have a building manager that was truly acting as our advocate. I don't think Sam ever responded with anything less than "Let me see what I can do" and "Let me know if you need anything." He is detail oriented, organized, sharp and easy to work with. He has a quiet confidence that garners much respect from all the various vendors and craftsmen that he oversees. WBC works with the best in the industry. From our designer, Tom Korecki to flooring, stone, lighting, appliances and on, we could not have asked for a more. Our entire build experience with WBC was truly phenomenonal. We are truly grateful to have this home to enjoy for many years to come.

We have built several homes in the past and getting them to come back to resolve issues after we moved in, never happened or took forever to get a response back or repairs completed. Wedgewood was fantastic to work with from the beginning and continues to be a great service even after 2.5 years!!! Max is exceptional! He answers his texts or calls almost instantly and goes above and beyond to help with any issue. If he doesn’t have the answer, he will figure out who does and within a short while has the answers needed. We highly recommend them!! And we highly recommend Max!

From the very beginning, they were attentive and responsive—promptly addressing move-in details, providing follow-up support as needed, and returning after my first year to complete drywall, paint, and trim touch-ups with care and efficiency. In particular, I’d like to recognize Max E., who consistently went above and beyond. I had an issue with the master bathroom sink separating from the Granite. I called Wedgewood to ask for a recommended person to reinstall the sink. My Wedgewood home is 7 years old. Wedgewood had one of their building supervisors call me, and Evan, took care of the issue right away at no cost to me. They were responsive and took care of everything with a follow up making sure the repair was completed to my satisfaction.
