I have these lights since 2022. The light was having some issue with connectivity and the power source gave up once. I contacted them and they responded quickly and have the issued fixed with no hassles. Recently, I have some issues with the light again (something that if I had known I could have fixed it myself) they came out and got it working for me with no hassle again. I had great experience with their customer service and the way the honor their warranty. I'd used them again. The light is working great now and I love the new updated app that they have. It's so much better compared to the first version.

I love my lights, it’s so nice to be able to customize the lights depending on the season and holidays, all by using an app. The service we’ve received the few times a bulb has burned out is prompt and friendly, with great follow up to ensure we’re satisfied. Highly recommend!

Worst customer service on the planet without exception. No one ever answers the phone...ever. Emails go unanswered except for the obligatory "we'll get to you when (and if) we get to you". We have left several emails and voicemails and no way to escalate because no one answers the phones or emails. Been well over three weeks and counting with zero response at time of this post...

After 2.5 years of having the lights working great, half of them (second level of the house) started having glitches. I reached out to the support team who informed me that the local dealer who installed the lights was no longer servicing them and we would now be subject to a new dealers call out fee of $250. None of this was disclosed at purchase as a full parts and install warranty was mentioned, nor a third party dealer. After replying to this, there was 4 weeks of unanswered follow ups on a solution. Service was finally completed on the issue but after 1 week, the issue of glitches returned. I let the support team know and there has again been no response for another 4 weeks with multiple follow ups. After only 2.5 years, half of the lights are not working and the support team will not reply to help get the issue sorted out. When the lights work, they are great, but unfortunately the customer support has been non existent when there is an issue.

Had my lights installed 2 years ago. Recently, I noticed that I was unable to change some settings. I contacted Watts and Jasmin was able to diagnose and suggest options to fix the issue. Recommended!

I have had NOTHING but trouble with this system. Less than a year in and they’ve been out four times to “fix” it. Terrible app, terrible connection, terrible hardware. Don’t waste your money.

Had lights installed in Fort McMurray in 2022. 1)Shortly after install the controller was not functioning. Reached out to Watts, they had just released a new controller 2.0, had to pay full price for new controller. ($350)- self install. 2) within a year a section of lights failed, Watts replaced it, service provider was Fraser Electric. 3) 3 years after install (current situation) the whole upper level of my lights have failed. Watts has been unable to maintain a service provider in Fort McMurray, the former installer is no longer around. Repairs can only be conducted by a “certified” provider. Been waiting more than a month for a service call and only crickets. Currently the service provider is Powermax. All repair labour costs are the customer’s responsibility although can only be performed by “certified” Watts repair provider to maintain the remainder of manufacturer warranty. The lights look great, very concealed. Just terrible service, multiple events and issues. The original installation wasn’t great but accepted it, because I was one of the first few installations in Fort McMurray. Not a pleased customer.

I requested an estimate on November 20 of 2024 for lights and have yet to hear from them aside from the standard we have received your email and will get back to you response. I filled out all the required information on the form to get an estimate, but apparently my house isn’t worth it. Very Disappointed

Spent thousands of dollars and months with Watts trying to use what I thought was a great system. The guy I hired to install it praised the product as a superior APP and high quality products with great warranty. He also said he serviced what he sold so never to worry about it. I went ahead with the install… and then the headaches started. The lights look OK when they work…. But that’s the issue. Only when they work. I called Ron and we tried a few things and then he asked me to connect with tech support at Watts. It took a few days to finally connect with Jaimie at Watts and he did have a few ideas. What I was told is that Telus basically is the issue. Someone at Telus has Watts lights and also had the same issues. I have the best WiFi routers one can buy and was told I still need to add boosters. Problem here is that everything thing else in my house works great. My garage openers are twice as far from the routers as the lights and they work fine. I called Ron to ask him to deal with this booster thing. Ron did go ahead and add a booster to my network. After failed attempts to connect again to my lights in the end he sold me two new controller parts and a new APP. We removed the booster and the new light controllers connected instantly and are super quick and responsive. Even when not home they now connect instantly. Also, seems like the lights are crisper and brighter than before. Still using the Watts lights but I don’t recommend using their controller and don’t recommend using Watts lights with TELUS. If the TELUS rep has issues with it you surely will too. Jamie tried to connect but in the end their system is simply not compatible with TELUS for sure. If you buy Watts, I would make sure to have them test the system at your house before going ahead. My new system works flawlessly and I simply would not recommend until watts fixes the app or controll box. After months of issues I am now problem free. I run a large business in Calgary and understand the importance of reviews and hope that this one just helps people make decisions including the crew at Watts lights.

Phenomenal service and friendly staff! Lights are working perfectly and love the Watts App! It’s so simple to use and new preset programs are constantly being added to make the user experience much easier. Highly recommend this company.

Phenomenal company and service! They really stand behind the product and have given fantastic service while upgrading my control box and some lights that burnt out upon initial install -- 3 years later! Would highly recommend! Great people and great service! Thank you Watts lights!

I would give no stars if I could. The lights themselves and the install is excellent so that gets the star but customer service is non existent. The controller and app are constantly not working and no one wants to try and fix them or seems to care. They constantly blame internet connection and speed but that’s impossible as I have other more complicated systems that are dependent on internet and Wi-Fi and have no issues with them. I have found another company that has removed the watts controller and replaced it with theirs and they use my existing lights and new app is working flawlessly. Watts is only interested in taking money and then hiding from their issues and problems and not interested in providing any support or warranty. Don’t waste your money their are better options and companies than watts

Thank you Watts Lighting, my house looks amazing. Riley and his two apprentices did an awesome job. Riley explained how to use the applications before he left. There is also a “ how to use”the app on YouTube. Watts has it covered

Lights looked great putting them up, but less then a week later i have to unplug my box to connect to change colors. The app barely works and doesnt connect, you only have a few seconds to connect after unplugging it and it doesnt connect when you do. No one told me i would have to go outside in -20 to unplug it. Should of kept my old lights up. Get it together watts.

0 stars- I could not select zero. The software and controller is the absolute worst. We could never connect locally, had a wifi booster installed and still could not connect locally. Occasionally we could connect via the cloud, but not often. We were constantly having to go outside and unplug and plug back in the power to hopefully catch the brief window of time where we might get a wifi connection. Additionally , the timer settings didn’t work correctly and the lights went off and various times during the night rather than the scheduled time, and portions of our lights weren't on. The whole back of our house and a portion of the side lights are not on, with the front of the house and part of the side on in the attached photos. Needless to say we are extremely dissatisfied with the Watts software/controller/connectivity and have found a far superior system that also ensures the lights are at full brightness, as they were dim with the Watts software. When you pay a substantial price for a product, the expectation is that it works without these types of issues.
