Unfortunately they aren't interested in hearing about a c1948 Roamer watch. They only do top end watches. Maybe they should say that on their website save people wasting their time trying to contact them. Never gave me the opportunity to explain that it wasn't needing repair but cleaning as I've seen done by craftsmen on the TV program The Repair Shop. However I have found someone with an excellent reputation closer to home who is at least prepared to look at such a special watch and tell me if the face can be cleaned which was all I wanted to know

It was a great pleasure to work on your watch
Mike is the consummate professional, he kindly put the links into my watch bracelet and had it back to me with no fuss. Other shops were reluctant to carry out the work but Mike took the job on and completed it in a timely manner. I will not hesitate in using him again. Thanks Mike
