I was excited to work with Walsh Roofing because of the ability to do solar and roofing under one roof (see what I did there?) and their excellent reviews.
The rep, Trey, came out and did an energy assessment. He said they evaluate how they can improve energy efficiency before determining how many solar panels I would need to offset my electrical usage completely. It made sense to me.
He recommended a new 16 Seer 4-ton AC, a high-efficiency water heater, and two solar attic fans. This was in addition to the new roof and solar panels, and two batteries. After getting some additional quotes and requesting a breakdown from Trey, I find I’m paying 25%-30% more per item on the list than what I quoted elsewhere.
Trey’s explanation is that they add a finance fee to every line item because I’m financing and not cutting a six-figure check. So, they charge a 32% upcharge per item on top of any finance charges. He kept referencing the tax credit, but if the tax credit is 26%, and by his own admission, they add 32% per item…how am I benefiting from the tax credit? It’s important to note that no one charged me extra because I am financing out of every single quote I received from other roofers, AC installers, plumbers, or solar providers.
I liked the idea of doing it all in one place and the initial explanation of how the solar project would qualify for the federal tax credit, including the roof, AC, and water heater made sense, but not if they are negating the tax credit with a 32% markup.
If you do a solar project with them that includes several items, I would strongly suggest that you request a breakdown of the quote because it won’t be readily offered unless you ask. They focus more on payments vs. current electrical bills than the actual per item breakdown during the quote process.
I will say that Trey was super nice, and I was definitely looking forward to working with them, but telling me that the markup they added was due to my financing was a bit insulting. I’ve chosen to work with different well-reviewed providers to achieve the same goals at a significant discount. I'm sure they are a great company and perhaps my experience was a one off because someone was trying to hit a home run on the sale but it left a bad taste.
We had a complete roof replacement by Walsh Roofing in June, 2022. The process was good during the installation but since then, we started having one and then several leaks starting a few days ago. When I tried to call the company to discuss the need for an inspection / repair, their phone number has been disconnected at their main business number. I am now in need of a repair or replacement on a roof that should of been leak free for 10 years minimum. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please find a roofing contractor that is stable and will stand behind their work.
If it was possible to give no stars I would. I’ve had to contact them multiple times since I got my roof replaced in 2020. First leak was in 10/23/2022 where Thomas Walsh emailed me that he would repair the damages caused from any leaks. After that radio silence from his email after multiple emails from me wondering when he would follow through on his word about fixing the damages. 12/11/23 I had to contact the company again about another leak via the company line. Worked with Mark Akers. Was promised that they would fix any damages and stains that were caused from this rain leak and another radio silence from this email. I’ve called their office multiple times over the span of two years and all I get told from the representative is “I’ll let them know and have them call you immediately”. But I never get the call back. I tried to be understanding when it was hurricane season or busy season, but they put no effort and do not care to reciprocate the courtesy to their customers. My biggest regret is working with this company. They are fast with selling you but they do not take any accountability on their poor craftsmanship. My phone call no longer goes through and what I assume is blocked. Save your time and your money and work with a honest company who stands by their work and word. This company is not it.
Avoid this company
We initially thought they did a good job, but once the job was completed and paid in full, it was impossible to reach anyone in the company when there was a problem.
Since February, I have had 2 issues that I needed to talk to someone about, and after numerous phone calls, leaving messages, and even sending a certified letter to the owner, we have not received a response.
The first issue was a letter I received from one of Walsh's suppliers stating that their bill had not been paid. It notified me that I would be responsible if the bill is not paid by Walsh, and it even threatened to put a lien against my property. No return from Walsh after numerous phone calls to discuss this. (The supplier eventually told me that the bill had been paid after 5 weeks.)
The second issue has to do with the hardware that was installed on the roof. I had contracted and paid for hurricane clips. After the job was completed, I had a wind mitigation inspection from an independent inspector. The report states that the hardware that they installed are not hurricane clips. Again, no response from Walsh after I called them and sent a certified letter.
Their lack of response makes me wonder whether they will even honor their 10-year warranty if there is a leak. My recommendation is to hire another roofing contractor, not Walsh!
We had a new Roof replacement installed by Walsh Roofing services in January 2024. We initially thought they did a good job, but once the job was completed and paid in full, it was impossible to reach anyone in the company when there was a problem.

Worst company to honor warranty. Great at the sale, fast on install. ZERO for warranty. My first attempt to contact was phone calls for 8 days with messages left to a person promising a rapid response. After that I wrote a bad review and received a response in 3 days. Now I am having the same problem. It has been 2 weeks of no response. So here I am again warning would be customers of the perils of wasting hard earned money on a company who doesn’t care for its customers beyond initial sales. If it was only once it’s a fluke, but twice… they suck. For the record my is not even 2 years old. So their work installing must not be that good either. Avoid them at all costs. My next step is a lawyer.
Warning - read before you hire. I hope this note finds you well and safely distant from any roofing dramas! I’m reaching out to regale you with a tale of my recent foray into home improvements, featuring the enigmatic crew at WRS Roofing Services. Think of it as a bit of friendly advice wrapped in a cautionary tale!
So, there I was, ready to give my home a little TLC with a new roof. Enter WRS, the knights in shining armor (or so I thought). While I could wax poetic about the misalignment of schedules and the abstract expressionism they called a cleanup, the real plot twist came with the gutters.
In a bold move that would make any preservationist swoon, my cherished gutter guards were unceremoniously tossed aside! And when it came time to reattach the gutters, WRS went rogue, opting to back-nail them into oblivion. Now, my gutters, those brave conduits of rainwater, prefer to channel water straight towards my abode rather than away. The audacity!
To add insult to injury, this unconventional nailing spree voided my warranty, leaving me to foot the bill for their avant-garde installation methods. Despite their claims of "reinstallation," I must note, dear reader, that proper gutter etiquette involves hangers, not nails—something WRS seems to treat as mere folklore.
As I pen this missive, I am marshaling forces with the state, the county, the BBB, and anyone else who loves a good bureaucratic battle, to address these waterworks woes. My next act? A face-to-face at their secret headquarters, otherwise known as 3801 Lake Padgett Dr, Land O'Lakes, FL 34639.
Sharing this saga isn't just cathartic—it's my public service to you, ensuring that your next renovation is less about water mismanagement and more about home beautification.
Stay dry and carry on!
the crew were amazingly polite and helpful. Didn't know this job could be done with so little stress. Cleanup complete and efficient.
I've had this roof for a little over 2 years now. It comes with a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. I have noise problem with it and 2 calls so far have received no response.
They did a stellar job! Full Roof replacement in 1 day! Mitch was our sales person and he took time to send us photos of the roof colors we were interested in on jobs they had recently done, as well as provided advice on choice. Great communication too. Always heard back within a business day with professionalism and warmth. We love our roof and haven’t had issues with it this far. Recommend this company highly! They are veteran friendly too!
Absolutely horrible. A brand new roof was installed June 2022 before I purchased the house. After doing an inspection on the house, it was brought to my attention that Walsh Roofing Services did not install flashing where needed (ex: around our chimney) I asked them to repair that and add the flashing but they refused since they had just completed it. Fast forward a year later and we have leaks around the chimney, ruining the ceiling in our back patio and inside our house. I called and someone came out and said nothing was wrong, that it was our chimney. I had a chimney company come out and inspect and there are no issues with our chimney, instead they said that we need flashing around the chimney because it is causing our leaks. I have called Walsh Roofing several times and they do not call me back. They keep saying they sent an urgent message but I have yet to get a call back. I have a 20 year warranty on this roof and they are not even trying to fix it. DO NOT use this company. They will not install correctly nor take care of anything once they are done. We are now having to pay thousands of dollars to fix ceilings and dry wall because they don't have truthful employees and do not want to do the work to fix you.
This has got to be one of the nicest, most knowledgeable, transparent, tidy roofing companies I have ever seen. A consultant/sales rep comes to speak with you about your roofing needs, does a full site assessment, presents samples of products, and offers 3 options for your budget. The products and level of protection that go with each budget are discussed, as well as what is required by law. Once needs are evaluated, the budget is discussed, finances are determined, and supplies are ordered. Then, the timeline is developed. As a customer, Walsh involves you every step of the way. They stick to the timeline, do a superb job, and they double sweep your property with a metal detector for nails and metal debris. Walsh was very respectful of my property, which included my garden bed, lawn, and backyard. Great company, and they answer calls promptly.
We talked to about 8 or 9 roofing companies before we decided on one and Trey came out several times and was very knowledgeable and friendly each time. He took the time to explain things and answer any questions my parents had. When we finally decided on Walsh roofing didn’t waste anytime. Within a week we had an install date and the following week we had a new roof. The crew was fast, efficient, and most of all considerate and courteous ( I have 2 large dogs that needed outside frequently). Over all I’m extremely satisfied with the decision we made and their work. 10 out of 10 will recommend to anyone

I want to thank Walsh for my new roof. I don't write review offen, but after having the roof and appreciating it for months, I wanted to write this to Walsh Roofing: You went above and beyond in meeting my needs and addressing my concerns on my purchase. And thank you for upgrading me to the stainless steel nails when I didn't like the type of zinc nails that arrived up the day of installation. I was also very happy the free wind inspection, and with your policy of not collecting any money until the inspection was approved, and it was approved the first inspector visit. The package I chose and gave me a more secure feeling when I was preparing for the last hurricane. The roof looks great! a very happy customer here. Thanks!
