We have been here three times with our service dog. Enjoyed it very much…
Until today when we were turned away because we had a service dog.
We were told by the hostess, who was made to turn us away by the snotty manager, that the waiter is allergic to dogs.
Well, he must have developed that allergy in the last two weeks because we were there two weeks ago and he did not have an allergy then.
Why not let someone else serve us if that was the truth?
What if a waiter with nut allergies had to serve food that may contain nuts?
Utterly unacceptable and actually against the law to discriminate against patrons with service dogs… not to mention sad and disgusting as well.
I haven’t been to Vittorio’s in a few years just because it’s expensive but when I’ve gone, their food/dinner was always amazing. Me and my boyfriend went Sunday for their brunch and our anniversary. 20$ per person for bottomless drinks? Can’t beat that when one drink is almost 20$ lol plus the menu and food was amazing. Our waiter/service was on point too! We will definitely be returning!
I’ve always heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint.
Food was incredible….the crab cocktail appetizer and marinated skirt steak were both sooooo delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly and portions on everything were generous. Cocktails were amazing as was the service from Theresa!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5‑Star Review for Vittorio’s Restaurant in Amityville, NY
Please Note***
I did not get anything free to write this. I just wanted to share my honest thoughts and opinions.
Vittorio’s in **Amityville, New York** is hands down my **favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island** — my absolute go‑to spot for authentic, delicious Italian food. Every time I dine here, I’m reminded why this place stands out among all the **top Italian restaurants on Long Island**.
If you ever get the pleasure of visiting **Vittorio’s Restaurant & Wine Bar**, I highly recommend trying the **Chicken Scarpiello** — it’s perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and truly one of the best dishes you’ll find anywhere. And if you go on a Sunday, do yourself a favor and order the **Sunday Sauce Pasta** with all the meats. Wow! It’s the kind of meal that makes you feel like you’re sitting at an Italian family table in the heart of Italy.
The service here is just as exceptional as the food. Our **server and bartender, Theresa**, was absolutely wonderful. I work late most nights and rarely get the chance to go out for dinner, but thanks to Theresa, we didn’t end up at the diner again. We arrived a little after 8 PM on a Sunday, right as the restaurant was winding down, and she still welcomed us with a smile and seated us without hesitation. Even though the staff was preparing to close, she never rushed us — instead, she made us feel completely at home. Which is pretty unheard of in 2025. I cant tell you how appreciative we are. It’s truly the little things like this that people remember. Other restaurant’s should take note
We started with our favorite appetizer, the **fried calamari**, which was crispy, tender, and cooked to perfection. Then came our entrées — rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Every bite reminded me why **Vittorio’s Amityville** is truly one of the **best Italian dining experiences on Long Island**.
What makes this restaurant even more special is the value. For a **five‑star Italian restaurant**, the portions are generous — you’ll almost always go home with enough for the next day (and maybe even the day after). The food, service, and atmosphere are worth every penny.
Vittorio’s is cozy, clean, and welcoming — a true gem on **Broadway in Amityville, NY**. You can taste the passion and care in every dish, and the staff treats you like family. There aren’t many restaurants left that combine **outstanding customer service**, **authentic Italian cuisine**, and a **warm, inviting atmosphere** quite like this one.
If I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would. Thank you, **Theresa and the entire Vittorio’s team**, for another unforgettable dining experience. You’ve earned a lifelong customer.
We’ve been going to this restaurant about once every month to once every other month for about a 10 years..
The steaks are normally delicious but tonight they were very chewy and not charred on the outside like they normally are. They just didn’t taste as good at all. My cocktail wasn’t even the same either. I usually get the Vittorio’s Secret. My husband’s cocktail came in a chipped glass.
We ordered the cheesecake for dessert with a side of vanilla gelato and they gave us pistachio gelato instead. It was actually very good but It’s a good thing neither of us had nut allergies!
We also got seated by the entranceway which was extremely loud with the noise from in the bar and busy traffic in and out bringing drinks. I thought being a regular for so many years we’d have a better table.
It’s usually one of our favorite places, but after dropping $400 with tip, very disappointed this time.
