Great historic jazz venue
Staff gentilissimo
Great vibe. It’s such a historic venue, and they put on some of the best acts in the world.
We absolutely loved seeing a show here! The atmosphere, the setting, the history, the music, the vibe, the drinks & Ravi Coltrane ♥️
How can I even begin to describe the magic
Love love love the artists that play here, and the staff is always cordiale.
Drinks are very basic and overpriced, but it is what is is
Sehr zu empfehlen, hochklassige Musik in intimer Atmosphäre, historisch bedeutsame Venue.
The oldest jazz club in NYC—basement venue, photos of legends covering walls, no photos allowed during shows . Acoustics are flawless, sound stays rich everywhere in the room . Tickets $45+, worth every penny. Crowd is older, focused, here to actually listen . Spiritual experience for jazz lovers . Reserve in advance, arrives early .
We had to wait outside in the rain for over 40 minutes while they organized the entrance. Once inside, the waitress kindly took our coats. What a mistake, she never mentioned that there was a cover charge. The music was good, but only for an hour. Then they force you to order a drink. I had a cocktail, but the glass was very small. Then, of course, you have to pay the mandatory tip for the minimal service. It's a money-making machine, much more than a tribute to the artists. Too bad, it will be my last time there.
