When you live in an apartment, the dependency on the maintenance staff is key when items do need to be addressed. Grateful to have Kevin on staff here, not only is he highly skilled and focusses on long-term fixes, he cares about the property and the tenants and he is just a great person to be around!

I was extremely pleased with all the staff, especially Arica. She was happy to answer all of our questions and showed us around while ensuring the process was easy and smooth. While doing our walk through, I was amazed how thorough it was. Arica turned on every faucet, flushed all toilets, opened every cabinet, etc. to ensure there were no issues. I would highly recommend Veranda as they have excellent amenities, wonderful staff and well kept grounds. Veranda at Norton Commons is a beautiful and wonderful neighborhood to be a part of.

Absolute nightmare dealing with these people! We (my husband, me and two kids) leased a townhouse for a year, with a signed lease several months ago. On our way to Louisville on Labor day weekend, they tell us they have given away the townhouse to someone else, and offered to put us into an apartment. When we asked for a refund of the security deposit and application fee, they were so rude! One of the leasing folks said "we should consider ourself lucky that they offered to place a roof on our head". This is in spite of having a legal signed agreement for 1 year. They refused to refund the application fee regardless. The decency of agreeing to cover added cost of moving was out of the question. Anyway, I heard there are multiple nationwide lawsuits against them, so strongly urge everyone to steer clear of these frauds.

Arica is amazing. I had been notified by another complex that my apartment I signed for a month ago wouldn’t be ready. I walked in to Veranda afraid that I couldn’t afford to live in Norton Commons. Veranda offers a wide selection of options and I move in today. In an industry with a lot of bad business practices I feel like the folks at the Verandas work to be transparent and clear in their practices.

Great management!!! They really go above and beyond to make where you stay a home. Fab and Erica are great! They respond quickly to concerns and truly put the tenants first. Veranda at Norton Commons is a great place to live.

Look elsewhere!! High prices, low quality, and deceptive leasing tactics. The location is the only thing this complex has going for it. You can lease a unit over retail in Norton Commons for the same price if not cheaper that is better quality with a garage and access to NC amenities. Be aware, you cannot break your lease at this complex!! They will not be transparent up front about the real cost of their “fees” which will run you $400+ on top of your base rent, or the fact that you cannot terminate early for any reason. There was nothing luxury about our unit. We got stuck paying almost $3k/month here that we couldn’t get out of. We also had to call the police twice during our stay, once for a scary attempted break in and another for witnessing a horrific domestic dispute in the parking lot. We also came home one evening to find the street blocked off and the police surrounding a unit calling for someone to come out with their hands up. Read the reviews and think twice before moving into this complex. See photos below of what you get for your money here.

Save your money, you will pay a FORTUNE and live below mediocre. The property is NOT well taken care of, it has fallen below NC standards the past couple of years. The Connor Group takes advantage of a well established community, over charges while abandoning the care of the property. You will ALWAYS step in animal feces, tenants are required to pick up after their pets yet none of the animal waste stations are restocked. Take a walk/gander at the property; go by and look at the community garden, the dog park, the dumpsters, the pool area....the lack of care and attention to this property is visibly obvious. There is a facebook group "tenants against the connor group", these reviews are our reality here at The Veranda. Don't be fooled by the wrapping of the Norton Commons Community, this property does NOT hold up to its reputation. Sadly

The high turn over rate of staff says A LOT! This is my 2nd year, the beginning of 2024 was rough but then Lidia and Amanda came on board and it was WONDERFUL! Since 03/2025 they have since left and a whole new staff in aboard, animal feces EVERYWHERE due to none of the animal waste stations being restocked. Pool is NEVER cleaned, chips and broken pieces around pool. There is a sprinkler system around the property to keep grass and grounds looking green but has not been on the last 2 years I have been here. For a small 1 bed,1bath rent with the RBS (fees,utilities,exc.) is $2077.00, you pay luxury here without living luxury. Gas to grills are very seldom replenished. Community Garden is overran, water hose doesn't work. Dog Park is full of animal feces, animal water station does not work.

I've lived here for about six months and honestly it sucks. The connor group doesn't care about this property at all. The dog park and community garden are all overgrown and infested with ticks cause of it. There's a revolving door of office staff cause the connor group won't give them the budget to actual fix problems that happen or they just don't care about the residents. All the residents are paying luxury prices, but everything is rundown and not well taken care of. Save yourself and just don't move in here.

I have to say that Lidia has been amazing! I'm going through a break up and I received the kindnest message inquiring how things were going and letting me know if I still needed a place to rent they were there for me! I mean, that's above and beyond! I move in this week and couldn't be happier about it! There's a dog park and community garden, too! It's just amazing!

Got the keys to my new place today at Veranda in Norton Commons! Amanda and Lidia have been awesome! They have made this entire process fast, easy, and very user friendly. This venture started less than 2 weeks ago and I’m ready to move in! Thank you again to Amanda and Lidia for everything!

I have lived at Veranda for nearly 3 years and have found it be a wonderful home throughout my time in law school. My one-bedroom had a few unexpected issues, such as a flooding incident and smoke detector disruptions, and the team at Veranda was attentive and helpful in navigating these problems and making sure things were taken care of. The staff was prompt with answering emails and providing in-office support. The maintenance team was there to help within a few days of my service requests. And the managers have made efforts to facilitate changes to my lease term in order to better situate me for the bar exam this summer. I am so happy to have been a resident here and have cherished the safety of the neighborhood, the lovely units and spaces, and the connection to the larger Norton Commons community!
