Very easy to deal with. I am from out of town and after searching for a garage in Alberta to do work on my car while visiting I came across Venture Motorworks. They understood my particular situation and office staff very helpful on first meeting and work was completed as expected. Online booking made it easy for me to book and didn't have to do it during regular business hours. I didn't need to use it but they have customer drop off and pickup while your car is being repaired which will be handy for future services.
This auto shop is beyond excellent! Fast, reliable, and cost-efficient. They completed all the repairs as discussed without trying to push unnecessary services and purchases. I had real trouble with my car after an oil change at one of the chain shops, which almost turned into a disaster, so these people were very nice to wash my engine compartment as a complimentary service. 100/100!

Not going to share specifics of my car problems but I’ll share my story.
Went for an out of province inspection at Kal Tire.. this was a massive mistake.. it was unpleasant and felt like they were trying to fleece me. Took my out of province inspection to VM and had them complete the re-inspection after I fixed some issues. It still failed due to a legitimate problem, but the customer service, the kindness, the straight forward no bs from Graham and the team was beyond appreciated. I regrettably cannot remember the woman’s name who was at the front desk but she was very knowledgeable about the processes and was pivotal in helping us get through a frustrating situation. Not only that, they got the parts and fast tracked my repair so that I wouldn’t have to complete a re-inspection and have to pay more money, then it gets better.. the price was less than I expected! He also put my license plate on because I had no screws or tools with me. This review is in no way a literary masterpiece, but I hope anyone reading gets the idea… GO TO VENTURE MOTORWORKS IT IS THE BEST.
Best mechanic shop I've ever been to. Shop is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. NEVER EVER feel like they are trying to find ways to get me to spend more. Just the opposite in fact. Great shop. I'm not even in their area but I go out of my way to take my car and my partner's car to them.
Great customer service, honest.

I recently had my car serviced at Venture Motorworks and had a mixed experience.
My first impression was that i was walking in to a car doctor’s office. Clean. Professional. Welcoming. Very efficient booking process and waiting area. I was pleased and assured that i left my car with the kind of people that would treat it as if it were their own.
I understood this is an “elite” Toyota/Lexus Japanese specialty mechanic shop and was expecting to spend just as much as what I would spend at the Lexus dealership and that all steps and procedures will be performed.
Here is a list of work done:
- Front brake pad & rotors
- Rear brake pads & rotors
- Brake fluid flushed
- Engine oil change
- Differential fluid change
On the positive side, the team handled the engine oil change and differential fluid replacement efficiently.
However, there were several issues that impacted my overall satisfaction.
During a brake service, they replaced the rotors and pads but forgot or didn’t understand or maybe didn’t think it was necessary to install one of the four shims (a wire: as shown in the picture ) that must be put on each individual pad. This omission caused an annoying looseness in the brake pads and clunking noise when the car is in motion in a straight line. If neglected that could potentially result in more problems. Mind you they did charge me handsomely for the brake hardware kits they were supposed to install.
On my second visit instead of a proper investigation and making sure all brake hardware components were in place, they just replaced the brake pads with a cheaper brand and hoped that the premium quality pads they initially installed were defective. No discounts offered for the downgraded pads either.
After this unsuccessful second visit, I had to personally investigate to dispel my suspicion about a missing brake hardware components…took it all apart and long behold the pads were not wearing this shim/wire amongst other things. I ordered the brake hardware component on Amazon and installed them myself on each brake pad and that solved the problem.
Additionally, when they did the brake fluid flush they failed to re-install a crucial screen that was just under the cap for brake fluid reservoir. It also bothered me why they weren’t able to use Techstream (like the dealers do) to bleed the system…instead when i picked up the car they mentioned that it took 5 people to bleed the brakes — jokingly..They said they had trouble with it (software? Hardware? )
They also used a different engine oil viscosity than the factory recommendation without my consent.
They claim to have a quality assurance process, but it’s clear that it doesn’t meet any standard, it’s none existent as the issues were not caught before I left the shop. Even after i brought the car back the next business day the issue was not resolved.
While the basic service was okay, these oversights really detracted from the experience and I lost trust.
I hope they take these points seriously and improve in the future.
10/10 BEST SPOT IN THE CITY
I have had a perfect experience every time I have gone to Venture. The managers are helpful, smart, effective in communication. The technicians are experts of their trade and always get the job done correctly. No cutting corners here.
They have never over charged me and always give me the most practical and helpful advise on what needs to be fixed vs what should be fixed.
Would recommend them to anyone.
Been coming to Venture since opening. I live in the SE and even though it's a little bit of a hike, I won't take my vehicles anywhere else. Honest, fair and trust Vic, Shawn, and everyone working there.

They provide photo proof of the defects and allow you to pre authorize the repairs you are able to pay for.
Being a woman, I’ve never felt like I am being upsold to or talked down to or that a problem has been exaggerated to get more money from me. Always very professional with a high quality of work and service. Highly recommend
I received a written estimate in advance. They were ready for me when I arrived. They asked good questions about the performance problems. Also I was shown the defective parts.
The work was done quickly at the quoted price and solved problem . I am very pleased plus they had really good coffee. I will be returning.
