We had a very pleasant 7 day stay at Varandas de Lisboa. The apartment on the fourth flour had an excellent view over the river Tagus. It was a very spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and dining room and a bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had a dishwasher. The rooms were clean and the apartment also had some kind of hotel service: there was a daily cleaning service and we got fresh towels on a daily basis. The staff is super friendly and hospitable, always ready to help, answer questions or just have a nice chat. The location of Varandas de Lisboa is just perfect. You are at the foot of the Alfama district and a 5 min walking distance from Praça do Comércio and the rest of the city. Public transport like buses and metro are just across the street. We got upgraded upon arrival, which was a lovely surprise! The apartment we stayed in was spacious and clean, with ample kitchen and dining space and access to three balconettes. Housekeeping did a good job and the location was superb, loads to do nearby with a lovely view of the river. Staff were friendly and we were given a list of recommendations for food and activities nearby, which was very helpful!

Beautiful property Mara was so welcoming and helpful even before we got there. She was a gem! The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The shared bathrooms were almost always available when needed and if they were occupied, you could go down a few floors and find a free one. The woman who checked us in was very sweet. She let us store our bags upon check in and promised to call us when our room was ready. She even allowed us to check in earlier than normal. When we checked out, our flight wasn’t until very late in the evening. They allowed us to store bags again and we could relax in the common areas until our flight that evening. I recommend this place. It’s very beautiful and makes for a comfortable stay. ☺Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
