Having been to Gudauri for multiple seasons I can confirm Vagabond is your best option for a professional and safe service. It’s the only school I trust to leave my kids with. All instructors are fluent in English and the kids always have a great time.

Eva is the Perfect person to help you ,if you putting on skies for the first time ever,she was very patient and helped us ,with the smallest of things(carrying our skies ,picking us up numerous times as we fell. Eva explained very well what needs to be done to get a hang of sking for beginners ,would highly recommed her ,if you are one. She's very friendly and makes you feel at ease immediately. We only wish we were staying longer to learn better. The whole process of booking with vagabond was friendly and easy and very professional. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Payal and harish

Great instructors! Easy with kids and patience with adults! We did expect a little more support on the rental front! Seeing we communicated with the team that it’s our first time, even asked the team to ask instructor to join us with fitting and gear rental. Unfortunately this fell on deaf ears. Not the instructor fault, I believe this is a management issue! They are not cheap, but they miss small things that would have made our time with them so much better! If they go the extra step for paying customers, it would have been an absolute fantastic trip. Unfortunately we had to really on friends experiencing, expertise and assistants on equipment and knowledge around the mountain. Where we can ski, what is green run, blue, black eg! They expected us to purchase our own first day slope tickets, keeping in mind, we have communicated over and over, it’s our first trip to a ski resort and trying skiing for the first time. As mentioned, instructor is amazing! Company/managers need to relook at the offering!!! Paying a premium price, but all the work is still sifted on the unknown customer, feels a little like a scam! Please do not use the rental company Vagabond suggests! The gear is old, over used and there is zero support in fitting or assisting in getting the perfect fit. If you complain saying the equipment hurts, the owner becomes aggressive and force your feet into his old shoes. Please use professional fitters!! Our recommendation will be Ski Rent Fanatic, near Drunk Cherry! New gear, amazing staff support, friendly owner and staff! Quality equipment with a team to support you!!

I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience with our instructors and I'm very sorry to hear how difficult the rest of your ski holiday was. Thank you for your feedback. It is very helpful for us to improve our services and the information we provide to our customers to help them organize their own trips more comfortably. To clarify any confusion - we manage and train a team of instructors to provide the best ski and snowboard lessons in Gudauri. The rental shop, ski pass office, etc, are all different businesses that we do not manage.

We also offer full ski holiday packages which include accommodation, transportation, ski passes, lessons, and rental assistance, and full assistance with everything throughout your trip. Package trips are perfect for new skiers and I highly recommend booking a package in the future to have everything organized for you by a professional. Unfortunately, for bookings of only one 2.5 hour lesson, we cannot require the instructor to spend additional hours of their time for free, but we are always available on WhatsApp to answer any questions. For single lesson bookings, what we can guarantee is that you'll have a great skiing/snowboarding experience with the best instructors in Georgia :)

We have just had a great ski holiday in Gudauri. Jamieson and his team were FABULOUS. We booked our holiday last minute and we could not have chosen a better company. They helped us with everything and went above and beyond to sort out a few little problems we ran into. My husband and son had a great ski lesson with Petr and I spent 4 days with wonderful Sophie (both snowboard and ski instructor). Highly recommend Vagabond.

We had 3 days skiing in Georgia, each of us had different levels/interests and thought it best to have an individual instructor each and it worked out perfectly. Vagabond recommended instructors for each of us. Our 16 year son had skied before and always wanted to try freestyle. He had an unforgettable time, mastering a few tricks thanks to his instructor Louis. He can’t wait to see him again. My wife, an intermediate skier, developed her confidence with Marcel on different terrain. I was teamed up with Jonathan. He really found new ways to improve my short turns and carving, and i expanded my repertoire dabbling in a few basic freestyle moves. All in all, the instructors were great, adapting to our needs and the lessons were very enjoyable. Hope to come back soon.

We enrolled our nine-year old daughter with a private instructor, Louis, for the week and he was fantastic. He sent us daily videos of her progress but also was incredibly encouraging with her. She gained so much confidence and progressed by leaps and bounds under his wing. We are so grateful and look forward to the next ski season.
