Please save yourself time, money and energy and do not use this company. They are basically running a scam, with constant attempts to upcharge and oversell the quality of the job and their products. Mike originally told me on the phone that a couch cleaning is a couple hundred dollars, but that he would come and give me a full quote. He claimed he would go to town on my sofa and it would look "brand new." Suddenly the quote was $1500 once he got to my apartment (including $750 for couch and $299 for "stain protection" and then more for additional items). All he does is drop off a couple of inexperienced techs with a steam cleaner. They didn't change the water even once, and didn't pretreat stains or even attempt to deep clean stains. He also claims the $299 fabric stain protection is "mixed into the water and cleaning solution." We all know this is a LIE. When I questioned him, he claimed the product was Fiber Shield. That is NOT the way that Fiber Shield is applied (it is applied to dry furniture as its own spray and left to dry). That was my first tip off that I was getting scammed. When they came the first day, his "techs" also appeared to not even know how to operate the equipment or to clean furniture. My caregiver called me concerned that the furniture looked even more stained than when they started. They were there less for less than 2 hours. As a result, Mike offered to return a second day and to redo the job. He also claimed to need to take one of my cushions to his "factory" (which he claimed was in midtown on 57th...though his office address appears to be a "virtual" for rent address) to see if he could do better on the stains. He acted as if returning a second day was a huge favor to me when it shouldn't have even been necessary in the first place. He then spent most of the visit on the phone trying to upsell other customers while his techs attempted to clean the sofa. I was very disappointed by what I saw. They had no methodical way of cleaning the couch and did not go with grain of fabric and I had to point out stains over and over again to get them to even hit the stains with steam. My couches looked no better than when I started and huge pieces of the couch weren't even touched until I specifically asked them to clean these areas. The cushion also returned untouched so not sure why he had to take it to the "factory". When I said I certainly wasn't paying $1500 for this, he became very combative. We finally settled on a number (which I regret even paying and I had to get my husband involved bc I did not feel safe with his constant talking and repeating of "We come to work, not to play" and "We do all of our work with love") and I asked him to not touch anything else and to leave my apartment. Now I will have to get my sofa cleaned by someone else who actually knows what they are doing. Please please do not give this company any business.
SpotlessNYC did a great job cleaning my couch cushions. They came the day after I called to pick them up, and stayed in contact with me throughout the process to keep me updated and arrange a time for the return.

Mike, Joseph, & team did a fantastic job with my sofa, armchair, and 2 carpets! They were prompt, friendly, efficient, and really attentive to detail. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch carpet/upholstering cleaning service.
We called SpotlessNYC about a stain in our carpet. They offered to come look at the stain and give an opinion for free. Joe rolled up, on time, to come consult on the stain, and he had his gear and crew ready to go in the truck downstairs in case we wanted to proceed. He was very honest about the severity of the stain and offered to try to remove it for the minimum price but communicated clearly that, because of how badly we stained the carpet, we would be paying for the chance at "a miracle." In the end, we didn't use his services but we greatly appreciated a company and a crew that deal in good faith. In NYC, it's always refreshing to find people doing business that way. Plus, he was an engaging and friendly personality.
SpotlessNYC was very quick to respond to my inquiry, professional and thoughtful, and did an awesome job with our couch - it looks restored and good as new! Thank you!!

I was so pleased with this company. They came to clean a carpet for us. There were some old stains we were certain were never coming out and had positioned furniture over. The technicians somehow managed to make them vanish. I was stunned. I also liked that a manager or supervisor came in advance to assess and give recommendations based on the fabric, the room and how high traffic it was. He was very knowledgeable and I felt confident in the technicians and their work. I definitely recommend them for carpet cleaning.
