The lodge was fabulous, really spacious & cosy. We stayed between Xmas & NY & it was nicely trimmed up with Xmas decorations. We enjoyed the hot tub & the privacy of the lodge. The views from the windows are great.
We really enjoyed visiting York & surrounding areas. Paul was a great host, responding very promptly to any queries we had.
The only downside we had on this trip was the nearest pub that we had hoped to walk to for our evening meals had closed their kitchen…..we tried to get a taxi into York so we could both enjoy a glass of wine & struggled to get one. After 4 attempts with different taxis refusing to come out to the lodge or were fully booked, we nominated a driver! The following day we went & did an M & S shop & cooked in the lodge, which was very well equipped with a lovely kitchen.

We stayed at Two Hoots for a long weekend and really wished we could have stayed longer!
Paul’s lodge was a fantastic find, it was so clean & spacious with a proper home from home feel about it. We arrived around 6.45 on a cold damp Thursday evening & the place was so warm & cosy. Paul was so thoughtful & had left us fresh milk in the fridge, tea bags, a delicious carrot cake & a lovely welcome card…….he even left a bag of treats for our fur baby too. There was everything there that we needed & more, there were even TV’s in both bedrooms should you wish to watch a little TV in bed & all the TV’s were smart TV’s so we were able to watch Netflix, Disney+ etc & of course there’s the added bonus of the hot tub too, which we took full advantage of, even though it was November!!
Paul was a wonderful host from start to finish – – the information he provided in advance of our stay & his communication was excellent throughout. If you’re thinking of booking a break here, then my advice is – BOOK IT!! We will definitely recommend this little hidden gem to our friends & family & hopefully we’ll return to Two Hoots, sooner rather than later ourselves too.

Lovely well equipped and spacious lodge. The little treats left for us was lovely and the family loved them.
The lodge is in a lovely location nice and peaceful when relaxing in the hot tub.
We spent some time in York exploring the shops and went pumpkin picking at balloon tree farm shop, which also do a delicious breakfast.
We will definitely be back 😊

Fantastic cabin true to photos and description. Very cosy and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and utility room. Log burner a bonus ready stacked and plentiful supply of logs for our arrival. Definitely the best spot on the site for privacy. Hot tub ready to go and got plenty of use! Very convenient for the park and ride into York and accessible to a long list of things to do and places to visit. Balloon Tree Farm Cafe for brunch and farm shop definitely got our vote.

We enjoyed a great weekend at Two Hoots. It is spacious, well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely location. It was less than 10 minutes drive from our Hallowscream activity on Friday night and we went into York on Saturday which was only a short drive away too. The hot tub was an added bonus and was hot enough for us to use throughout our stay. The added touches of milk, cake and a card were very thoughtful too. We would definitely recommend staying here!
