As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever.
My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain
Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago.
I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again..

I would not recommend this Airline
Very disappointed with Turkish Airlines. They cancelled our IST–AMM flight and forced a rebooking. Before agreeing to the changes, I specifically told the agent not to proceed if our purchased seats on the ORD–IST flight would be affected. I was reassured on a recorded call that our seats would remain unchanged. After the tickets were reissued, Turkish Airlines removed our seats anyway and separated our family across the cabin. Their “solution” was to have my 6- and 7-year-old children sit beside complete strangers for a 10-hour international flight. Even after explaining the situation, they refused to correct it or move us to another same-day flight with available family seating. This is unacceptable customer service and not what anyone expects from a major international airline.

great comfort
My favorite part of staying at YOTELAIR was definitely the monsoon rain showers. After a long flight, that feeling of freshness, combined with resting in a room equipped with smart features, is priceless. I started my next flight feeling fully recharged, like I was just beginning the journey.

rahat ve konforlu
Aktarmalı uçuşumda kendime bir güzellik yapıp İGA Daily Pass aldım. Lounge alanındaki açık büfeden gelen taze yemek kokuları eşliğinde, konforlu koltuklarda diğer uçuşumu bekledim. Duş hizmetini çok uygun bir fiyata aldım. Her şeyin elinizin altında olması büyük lüks.

Unacceptable
My friend and I booked flights round trip to Athens with a layover in instanbul and have never regretted it more. We had to split our ticket reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, and they subsequently cancelled my friend’s connecting flight to Athens. After 14 hours of fighting with customer service and her being stranded alone in Istanbul, she eventually had to buy an entirely new flight. Despite this, her return flight should never have been touched. However, as we were checking in for our return flight, we found that I could download my boarding pass but she could not even check in. After many calls between Turkish airlines and capital one (whom we booked through), they told us that: 1) we couldn’t get the pass online but had to do so in person (we didn’t trust that for a second) 2) thy had gotten her name wrong on the reservation and combined my first with her surname 3) there was no one higher up than the call center we could speak with and were quite rude and unhelpful about it 4) we could submit a “feedback form” and wait up to 2 hours to see if anyone responded. When we still hadn’t heard anything after 2 hours, we called them again and were told they had no idea what was going on and would send an email to try to get it figured out. They would not call directly and would not give us a number to call. Then they said we would have to wait until the end of the day or up to 6 hours to hear back… Despite the fact that we had a flight to catch and a very tight window in which to do so. So we are currently stranded in a foreign country with no assurance that my friend can leave or that we will even here back from the airline. We will never be booking with Turkish airlines again. We are down at least 1k and still now guaranteed way home. I would recommend anyone considering booking with Turkish airlines proceed with caution.
Worst airline
My experience with Turkish Airlines was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. I was scheduled to fly from Houston to Cameroon on Flight TK34 on April, 2026. After successfully checking in and preparing to board the plane, I was suddenly stopped by an airline attendant who claimed my carry-on bag was too large and demanded nearly $1,000 before allowing me to board. I was wrongly marked as a “no-show” I was forced to purchase another one-way ticket for over $2,000 just to keep my return flight from being canceled I was later charged an additional $870 for baggage fees after being told my new ticket included luggage allowance

Women Beware
This goes out to the women who fly internationally. Do not fly Turkish Airlines. On a recent trip I was flying on Turkish because of the price. On the flight home from Istanbul to Chicago I dozed off on takeoff. I was woken by an extremely gross smell. Upon opening my eyes there was a pair of naked feet in front of me up against my closed tray table. I was in an aisle seat, middle section, and the man sitting on the other aisle seat had taken off his shoes and socks, put down the middle tray table, had his legs on the table and his bare feet in front of me. I asked him to put his feet down, nicely, and he just looked at me. I assumed he didn't speak English so I pointed at his feet and then the floor. Here's what happened next: He raised his hand as if to hit me. I jumped out of my seat, reached over and pressed the call button. A flight attendant came and I showed her the situation and told her he had threatened me. She didn't see the "problem ", her word, and told me he had a right to do it. She then asked the man in Turkish, I assume, to put his feet down. He ignored her. Another flight attendant came over and I again explained what happened and that I was feeling sick and nauseated. They told me they could not reseat the man and that different airlines have different rules. Finally, a male flight attendant came over and talked to the man. The man put his feet down and the flight attendant proudly informed me he got the man to put his socks back on, problem solved. As the flight was less than full I asked if I could move. They said no problem. I asked if I could move to business and they lied and said it was full. We were just behind business and when the curtain was open it was obvious it wasn't full. They could have just said no they didn't have to lie. I gathered most of my stuff and found an aisle seat a couple of rows back. At this point I felt like I was going to vomit and went to the toilet. I was in there for over 20 minutes retching. At one point a flight attendant knocked and asked if I was okay. I said no, she walked away. When I got out of the toilet I went to retrieve a couple of items I hadn't moved. One of the flight attendants moved what I had left in my original seat to my new seat. 1 or 2 small things were missing, I don't care. The flight attendants reiterated to me the man was in the right, they had informed the pilot and he agreed. I filed a complaint with Turkish on their website. They acknowledged receipt and said they would get back to me within 14 days. That was about 3 weeks ago. My bottom line is this. I know there are cultural differences. But all the flight attendants deferred to the man. The female flight attendants would not speak to him, with the one exception, only the male flight attendant. The bare stinky feet were bad enough but they stuck up for the man for physically threatening me. I shudder to think what could have happened if he had actually attacked me.
Deplorable Service & Health Risks – Case TK-14542926
Final Public Review (English) Headline: Medical Negligence & Total Disregard – Worse than Low-Cost Carriers! (Case TK-14542926) I am extremely disappointed with Turkish Airlines flight TK1887 (Istanbul to Vienna, May 5th). While the baggage handling was fine, the cabin service and ground organization were a disgrace. Key failures: Information Failure & Health Risk: Due to incorrect gate info at IST (screens showed 15:30 while an email at 14:25 already stated the change), I had to rush 2km across the terminal. As a diabetic, this extreme stress caused a dangerous hyperglycemia spike. Total Service Ignorance: I paid for a full-service flight, but I was never served my meal. Due to the high sugar levels, I briefly fell into a deep sleep. The crew made zero effort to wake me or leave a notice. I woke up over the city of Deva, nearly an hour before landing—plenty of time to be served. Instead, the crew completely ignored me. They didn't even offer to pack the meal for me to eat after landing. I have experienced far more empathy on low-cost airlines like Wizz Air, Ryanair, or Pegasus. Filthy Cabin & Tech Faults: The seat area was covered in trash and dust. The window was filthy, the screen was frozen, and the charger was broken. Despite providing photo evidence, their support (Mert A.) shamelessly claims "no record exists." This is a blatant lie and medical negligence. I have escalated this to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Awful airport!!!
The flight crew were brilliant. But, the wheelchair service qt Istanbul Airport were awful!!! They refused to assist my mother to a private area to administer her insulin. They point blank told me that the wheelchair service does not provide assistance to go to the toilet or to go get something eat or drink. We had a 5 hour stop over at the airport and all of this time was spent battling with the staff and getting nowhere. We had to sit in the wheelchair assistance area the whole time. When I complained to the customer service team, they defended their staff and said that they didn't do anything wrong! This is outrageous, because they denied my mother assistance for her medical and basic human needs. We've been back home for a week now, it's taken two visits to the doctor and lots of home care to get my mother feeling slightly better after the trauma she experienced at Istanbul Airport. I will never be flying with Turkish Airline again!!! And this whole experience has put me off ever wanting to go visit a country that cannot respect and look after vulnerable elderly people.
Awful staff
We travelled to Europe return with Turkish Airlines because Emirates cancelled all flights. The staff were not friendly. We paid extra for leg room, but were constantly harassed by staff for having our legs stretched out!! Go figure! You pay for extra leg room but your legs can't use the space! Never again!
Find better alternatives
I booked economy and the flight in itself is fine and better than other airlines. The customer service on the other hand is a different story. I purposely bought the pricer ticket with less transit time and last minute they canceled my return flight and the only other option was the longer transit of 19 hours with zero accommodation provided when I called it. My friend's mother who was with us had selected the front seats for more room due to health reason and paid extra but we had to fight tooth and nail until the last minute before boarding for them to honor it when they re-booked us on the alternative option. The worst part is when they talk to you, it's like your beneath them. I know the airport is a separate from the airlines but they were just as bad there if not worse when you ask even the simplest of questions. liked the flight but I am going back to Qatar or Emirates for the consistency of good service.
