Tree Arrives With Poor Shape
I ordered a mango and they sent a healthy plant. However, they know nothing about tipping mango trees and instead let it grow to be 3 to 4 feet without allowing it to fan out. It's unfortunate since once you receive the tree, you have to cut it back in order to give it the proper shape.
Wrong Plant, poor communication, no resolution, have to buy the plant with another vendor
Ordered a eucalyptus plant and received a totally different plant. They asked for my order number to confirm the purchase, and I realized that they never sent me a confirmation email, which others have complained about in the comments on their website. When I ask about this, they keep sending me the same email repeatedly asking me to send my order number and photos of the plant, which I have already done multiple times. I wish I would have read reviews before I ordered from them. It seems that many people have the same issue with ordering.

Don't waste your money
I ordered a 3-4 foot tall moringa tree for close for $40, and it not only arrived less than a foot, but it arrived dying and dead. I have emailed tropical plantae three times already and no response or acknowledgement from them. I feel scammed.

Ordered (1) medium box: 15-19 pieces of Cacao. - $49.99. - GOT FOUR - WAY LATE.
Shipping stated 2-5 Days.
After the 5 days & not receiving or hearing anything, i contacted them through email (2) separate times. Concerned i hadn't heard anything back and it was well over the 5 day lead time provided at the end of sale, i attempted one last time through their Facebook.
To my surprise, never heard anything back. I received the package over 10 days later with only 4 pieces of fruit... and contacted my bank immediately for a full refund since i was already having no luck getting a response from them.
False advertising - No customer Support - Not worth it.
I checked my email this morning to see that they finally responded to the thread of emails with just one sentence. "Could you let me know your question"
Previous thread had order number, email order was placed under and what they needed to assist me. 0/10
Find a different online seller
My initial order was lost in transit. The seller did nothing about this despite numerous emails. Several weeks later I received a response providing me with a code and instructions to reorder my items with the code. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I was being asked to pay an additional $70 for shipping. Long story short, I was told that I would be reimbursed for this which I refused to do until coming to the realization that another $70 was worth the risk compared to the $250 I spent. My items finally arrived, but my Moso bamboo plant was neither Moso bamboo nor a plant. It was a cutting without any growth or root development despite the listing specifically saying it was a plant; furthermore, bamboo cannot grow this way. And, the eucalyptus, which was the main reason I even ordered in the first place, was the complete wrong species again. Needless to say, the only way I got my $70 back was by filing a complaint with PayPal after sending supportive evidence.
No notice of shipping, ETA, or tracking info given. Plants just appeared on my doorstep on a warm afternoon. Plants completely desiccated in the shipping container (taped together usps boxes).
Plants now in urgent care, does not seem like they will make it.
Not great communication, I tried reaching out before this post with no luck.
If this shouldn't be planted at this time where I live, why would you sell it to me?

Well in fact you buy it from us, but don’t worry you can follow all the instructions in the note we send you and you can archive a great success with your tree
My order was filled and tracking was provided, but USPS shows they are awaiting the package. I checked with Plantae and got a one sentence response that they would check and let me know. I’m a bit frustrated with the delay and no notice of why. Hopefully I get some information soon. Hoping I don’t need to pursue a refund.
bought purple managosteens , got lemondrop mangosteen , they are scammers
bought 2-3 feet mangosteen, tropicalplantae shipped .5ft lemondrop mangosteen instead, after email complainted got a 2-3feet achaircha. I sent email complaints and no reponse, posted the email onto their website , they blocked the compaint , they only show good review on their website. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for them to replay,
my email:
"Hello TropicalPlantae,
Today May20, I received this plant in the mail. It is an achaircha, it's not the purple mangosteen I had ordered for on the website. I myself already have several of these achacha. I am looking for the "purple mangosteen". Please sent the real "purple mangosteen"
thank you,"

I am writing to follow up on an order I placed on Order #18212] (May 15, 2025) which I have not yet received. Despite my attempts to get an update, I have not received any clear communication regarding the status of my order.
In addition to the missing item, I’d like to respectfully note that the current process for communicating with customers could use some improvement. Timely and transparent updates go a long way in building trust and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Please provide an update on my order at your earliest convenience. I would appreciate confirmation of its status or a resolution if the item is no longer available.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
