They need to fix their phone lines. It's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone when the call automatically drops you.

I wouldn't even rate this place with one star, but you have to pick one. I recently moved to Murfreesboro. My original county health department allows walk ins for deposits shots, I assumed a bigger city like the boro had the same policy. Wrong. After telling them on the phone I had to come before a certain time bc I had to be at work, she was persistent on getting me in so I didn't miss my DEPO. On the day of my appointment, after waiting OVER an hour I had to leave or I was going to be late for work. I sat there and wasted over an hour of my life just to get my DEPO and they couldn't even do that. Then FIVE minutes after I left they called to ask me why I wasn't in the room?!?! Duh!!! I'll just make the over an hour drive to Giles county where they got their sh## together and treat people with re
spect and kindness. Bunch of rude c words at Rutherford County. Had the audacity to tell me they hope I have a better day! No hun, you guys need to find some class and human decency!!!

Just short of being assaulted during my examination to see the dietitian almost a 5 hour interrogation followed by a 37 min phone conversation by a NP days later “you’re gonna die if you don’t come back” from a chart that I delivered. My fav is the number of times I explained my situation and the emotions of denial from the same NP and her blatant belligerence to documented facts

Called twice at 2:20 pm, and no one answering at the front desk. They just keep hanging up after 5 or 6 rings. So much for being available.

I’ve traveled/lived in multiple states across the U.S. The Murfreesboro, TN location, by far, is one of the best facilities I’ve ever had the unfortunate opportunity to visit! Firstly, it is clean!! The entire staff is knowledgeable, dependable and very efficient!! No one enjoys going to a doctors office yet this facility (and every one of its employees) eased my hesitancy after the first visit. Congrats to the entire staff for turning an unavoidable visit into an actual pleasure. Kudos to All that put in the efforts and actually caring!!

Public service is a tough role to play by itself... but public service as the health department is a whole other animal. I've only had to come here a handful of times over the years to pick up copies of birth or death certificates and I have always had a great experience. Kind and helpful.

Went for a covid test they said it would only take 48 hours maximum. It has been a week and we have called and they say they can’t help us. Would not recommend going unless you absolutely have to.

Well, never dreamed my wife and I would find ourselves at the drive-thru covid testing center at the State Farm building, but, there we were. How incredibly efficient and friendly can a staff be? We are compelled to share our gratitude for a fantastic and seemingly thankless job. Thank you Rutherford County Health Department.
