This is not really a negative review but I have only given three stars because it's requires a reasonable skill to put these shelves together correctly. Firstly the individual parts are very flimsy although when it is all put together it is quite sturdy but you definitely do need to wear gloves when putting it together as some pieces are so thin they are very sharp on the edges. You have to be very accurate in slotting all the pieces together and although the promotion does dwell on no nuts and bolts needed but if the component parts should twist then it doesn't go together correctly. Yes the shelves can be altered to whatever level you're require but when assembled and positioned it would be quite difficult to alter the level of the shelves as I suspect they would mainly be up by a shed side or garage wall and you would have to empty the shelves and pull the unit out to alter the level. Going by today's usual standards and quality of things I would say they are acceptable but certainly not fantastic.
Good storage unit.
A bit fiddly to start with fitting the crossbars for the boards, but not too bad once you get the hang of it, but be aware, as it says in the instructions, wear gloves as some of the edges can be quite sharp, I didn't wear gloves, but knew what I was doing and what to avoid, as I had a Lidl version some years ago. Having said all that, the end result is worth it, as you end up with a very useful shelving system, I would recommend fixing the top to a wall to stabilize the unit, which is what I have done, as there will be a lot of drills etc., in boxes, going on them. For the price, they are very good, and will last me for years.
I bought shelves that they advertised it will hold 175kg. Once I open it straight away I realised that it won't hold even 10kg on each shelves. I contacted them to return it, they advised me to sell it on face book market place than return it as it will cost. The products are very filmsy. It looks completely different compare to the photo on website. I will nit recommend to anyone to purchase here.
Poor quality. False advertised weight capacity
This product is poor. It's falsely advertised as heavy duty. The MDF is 3mm thick and will never hold anything close to 175kg. The advert shows the weight in each corner. Anything smaller weighing 20kg will bend these thin supports. Don't waist your money. When I asked to return them I was told £10 pounds per shelf for postage and I must post the units. Stay away.
Quality not great, but cheap as chips, so..
So, pro's: great price, easy purchase online, quick delivery, and arrived undamaged.
Con's: flimsy (thin) metal, metal tabs require fair bit of fiddling about with and a bit of bending to get them correctly inserted into their slots, very thin mdf sheets (4mm?) had damage to corners on arrival (but box undamaged so didnt happen in transit), and there's no way they would take a claimed "175kg" load, even if (if..) the metal uprights and lateral bars could.
Overall: seem to do the job (I screwed mine to the wall and put a thick bit of worktop accross the top of mine to beef it up), but you get what you pay for I guess.
Totally rubbish service
Do not bother doing business with these people. My order failed to be delivered in time, was alleged to have been "completed in an email 24 hours after order placement, promised updated call on day 5 did not happen, shelving units still not arrived. Nothing so far inspires confidence. Disappointed that I am unable to award no stars
Great solid racking
Was a bit skeptical about how strong these would be when I initially saw them online. These fears were instantly put to bed as soon as the first one was assembled. Pretty easy to do with the correct tools and I managed to build all 5 in about 4hrs. Overall very impressed with the quality and price.
Not fit for purpose
Ordered and received "3 heavy duty racks" ideal for garages spent 2 hours assembling 1 rack. Not easy instructions say assemble on carpeted floor, unfortunately my garage is not carpeted, perhaps they meant assemble in the house then take to the garage ? easier said than done as it falls apart unless you drag it carefully along the floor. I'm seriously concerned about the quality of the joiners , certainly wouldn't put anything heavy on the top two shelves. So i have two unopened racks still in the boxes, after looking at their onerous returns policy, more hoops than a circus, im going to not bother, if their returns policy is as patronising and one sided as the quality of their product then i cannot even be bothered to try. Will put this down to experience. If it looks too good to be true then it probably is.
On a plus note all the parts were there and arrived quickly.
'Ready To Use In Minutes' - I do not think so.
I ordered 3 sets of these shelving systems. Delivery was prompt, even though Evri do not know how to use a doorbell, I only knew it had been delivered due to a notification.
Un-packed one of the boxes.
Read the instructions 3 times.
What they do not show you in the video is that you have to adjust the holes in the vertical sections to get the rails to fit and slot in.
As one of the comments said, would not trust anything heavy at the top.
Yes, I understand vertical strength, but I would not trust this shelving system with 875KG if you were to load each of the shelves with 175KG.
You would have to have a perfectly flat floor, all of the rails perfectly inserted etc and not manually adjust the receiving slots, even then I would be cautious.
Even with a rubber mallet the metal was bending and I was not going at it like a bull in china shop. Had to use a screwdriver to make sure the tabs went in correctly, after adjusting the slot where the tabs needed to lock into.
It took about 2 hours to get one shelving built. I could of built a Dexion system quicker and that came with nuts and bolts.
Did try and call, but to no avail.
I will build the others, but I do not reccomend this shelving system.
The concept is good.
