Lovely little cafe We called in four times during our week in Lynton & we enjoyed it every time. I can recommend the crab sandwiches, along with everything else we ate, but the biggest draw was their ice cream. It was probably the best we’ve had in years. The staff were very friendly & helpful & the prices excellent.

A little gem Excellent food and coffee/tea and,in contrast to our experience in lynmouth, excellent service. A little gem and worth a visit if you are in the area. Middle Eastern dishes are a speciality.

Deceptive Place Beautiful food , appearance of the place looks okay and the surprise is the food it’s high class and wonderful, service a little slow but worth the wait all courses excellent

Very Enjoyable The crab sandwich was lovely as was the ploughman's all fresh and very nice indeed. The drinks were quality and hot. The staff were very pleasant quiet and efficient. The cafe was clean and tidy. Would go back .

Excellent lunch spot on a sunny day Attentive service, friendly member of staff, lovely seating outside and nicely shaded for lunchtime. Great food. Falafels were exactly how they should be crispy outside and flavoursome and delicious salad. Lovely coffee and drink. Very pleased we visited during our stay in the area.

Nice food but grumpy owner! Went in on the off chance for a late lunch. The two young people serving were great and very helpful despite clearly being busy towards the end of a long shift. The food we ordered was really nice and tasty, and service time was acceptable. What let the experience down was the arrival of the owner/manager on the scene. He obviously had no idea about customer service and didn’t acknowledge any of the customers in the cafe. Instead he proceeded to berate his staff, very loudly, in front of everyone about not working hard enough. Eg “Have you cleared the restaurant yet?” “Not yet, we’ve being trying to” “Well, you’re obviously not trying hard enough” “Why aren’t these receipts in the till?” “Why isn’t the floor clean” Then some plates got accidentally broken at one of the outside tables. Rather than going out to check if everyone was okay, he just stood inside moaning loudly to his staff about how much the plates cost! The guy clearly has no idea about how to run a business or how to treat his workforce. Won’t be going back and if I was unlucky enough to be one of his staff, I’d tell him to stick his job where the sun doesn’t shine!
