Went to the Pill Factory with a group of friends for a great weekend in the Southern Highlands. The Pill Factory is in Bundanoon which is a small town that has plenty of coffee shops and a great pub. If you're looking for a getaway for a weekend or longer with a large group this is a great place to stay. There are lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of living area and a great bar room !! The kitchen has everything you need so it's easy to self contain and there's a great outside area.
Simply the best large group accommodation location in the Southern Highlands. Actually all of Australia! We had the best few days here with close friends all together in the one place. Amazing setting, so much fun & memories to last for ages. With everyone able to stay at the same place, no designated drivers required! A few panadols to recover though :)
Middle of 2019, a number of us went to Bundanoon to take part in a friendly tennis challenge and The Pill Factory ticked all boxes for us. Lots of rooms to accommodate everyone, common areas like the games room with it's own bar and fire place, a huge dining room, industrial kitchen, bathrooms galore, cosy lounge room, all extremely functional and full of character.
From the outside, the building is quite deceiving, as it does not even hint about it's magic interior. Wooden wall panels, stairwell, floorboards with fireplaces everywhere give the impression of a hunting lodge in the Alps and being centrally located, it's walking distance to everywhere.
We all agreed that we are looking forward to staying there again.
The Pill Factory is really everything that is wonderful about Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands, all wrapped into one amazing stay. I’d recommend any event here - from a bunch of friends escaping for the weekend to a heritage inspired wedding! The surrounds are exquisite, the accomodation grand and every little detail has been thought through so carefully. 5 stars is not enough!
Beautiful old 3 level 1880s building - great for large family gatherings; car club groups or where you need accommodation for 22 as we did. 4 bathrooms to share. Lovely little rural town - see their website for details. We also enjoyed the Scottish festival - something unique and very interesting.
Perfect place to accommodate our very large family attending our son's wedding. We had the best weekend, made special by being able to all stay together. The Pill Factory had everything we needed. We had lots of fun playing pool and darts in the games room. The "oldies" could relax in the lounge room. The dining room was great as we were all be able to eat together. Thank you Claudia, Bonnie and your team for making it such a special, memorable weekend. Jenny and John
