If I could give this more stars I would. The convenience of having a cold pod outside my back door has changed my life. I was diagnosed with pancolitis, manifesting as months of uncontrollable diarrhoea, aching joints and fatigue. Within a week all these symptoms have dramatically improved.The pod itself is very easy to put up, fill and most importantly, get in and out of. It is surprisingly spacious for how little room it takes up.

I bought this for my fiancée and she absolutely loves it. The build is sturdy, it looks great, and was so easy to set up. We tried another product from a different company last year and were so disappointed, but this one has been a total game-changer.
She loves her cold dips and wants to keep up her tolerance throughout the years, and this pod is perfect for that. She’s even created a little secret garden corner with planters and lights, and the Cold Pod looks fantastic day and night.

No longer a quality product
I purchased my original Cold Pod back in 2022/2023 and it was fantastic, I had absolutely nothing bad to say about it and in fact raved about it to all my friends, several of whom went on to purchase one themselves. Unfortunately it sprang a leak this year and I was unable to locate it to plug it so had to replace it. I did not hesitate to go back to Cold Pod since I was so happy with the last one. That has been a mistake. The pod is no longer the quality item it was. The ring around the top will not stay inflated. I have to say that their customer service is great, they responded very quickly and sent out a replacement pod equally as quickly. Unfortunately this second pod has exactly the same issue. The pod itself is also smaller than the original one, it’s listed as being 75cm diameter but I purchased a space cover for my old one which fitted extremely snuggly, perfectly, but this one has a significant gap between it and the cover and is consequently extremely loose. That I could have lived with but having to pump the ring up every morning is tedious to say the least. Unfortunately I would no longer recommend this product, I think they need to go back to the original design/manufacturer. I’ve requested a refund this time, so we’ll see if their customer service is as good as I so far believe.

Great Ice Bath – A Few Small Drawbacks
I’ve been eyeing up an ice bath for a while and this one has been a great addition to my recovery routine. I used to take cold showers, but since moving house, my new shower just doesn’t get cold enough to be effective. This ice bath solves that problem.It arrived in a handy carry case and was really easy to set up and fill. The first dip definitely felt cold, but I’m still working on how to get the water colder consistently. At the moment, I freeze large containers of water, but it’s not ideal. I’m looking into reusable ice packs or cubes for a more efficient solution.One downside so far is the mesh section on the lid. When it rains, water and debris easily get into the tub through this opening meaning I’m having to empty and re-fill. I’m not sure why the lid needs a mesh panel – a fully sealed lid would be more practical. I’ve also noticed that some other brands come with an inflatable insert to help insulate the water and support the lid, which this one doesn’t include. It makes me question how effective the thermal lid really is on its own.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase, but a few design tweaks could make it even better.
Excited to see if it works
The space cover is well made and fits the pod perfectly. I can’t really say whether it works yet or not as I don’t think it’s really been hot enough to tell. The water temperature is holding around 10-12 degrees C, which is what it was before I put the cover on. The next week is set to be high temperatures so if it still holds around the same temperature I’ll be able to see for sure if it works.
