The resort is nicely spread out so very quiet. The ocean side room was nice but no kitchen, only a small dorm refrigerator and pod coffee maker. No comfortable furniture to relax on other than the bed. Very clean and serviced daily. The complimentary breakfast is great. We were there at a slower time and not all restaurants were open or serving the full menu. They automatically add 20% gratuity to all purchases which I do not agree is the best way. I like to reward good servers with a meaningful tip and those that do not perform as well should not get the same reward for doing their job poorly. Most of the wait staff, cleaners, etc were very good, with only a few exceptions. ☺cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Another fantastic staycation at Buccaneer. The staff is amazing, the food is fabulous and the golf was outstanding! Our room was so charming and had a fabulous view of the ocean and golf course. Love this resort, revisited 30 years after our first visit. So fun. Owner's hosting of a garden walk where she discussed the beautiful trees and plants on the grounds was an exceptional experience. Room was close to a pool and the Caribbean and was outstanding. Free breakfasts were exceptional and views breathtaking. This is still a family owned resort with a golf course. Dinners were consistently good with several locations to choose for dinner. For a low-key, island-easy place to experience St. Croix, I highly recommend this resort. ☺cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Clean resort. Could use some additional amenities. 1. We made note of a gluten allergy at every meal. But weren't shown gluten free items until the last day. 2. The rooms could use a microwave and some more plush items. 3. The staff was hit or miss somewhere extremely warm and welcoming and some seemed bothered by our presence. Gate staff + F&B staff - Housekeeping + Spa staff + 4. The spa was phenomenal. 5. The patio was a little dated and could use a detailed eye on a few things like weeding and adding some plants. 6. We realized that this is the off season but you had a full staff working and everyone focused on their specific job while were apparent things that needed to be done.

This is a beautiful property that does need a few updates but overall a great experience. Views were spectacular, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is they advertised a spa. It was a hotel room with a massage table in the middle of the room. Not quite the experience I was hoping for. The Buccaneer was fantastic from beginning to end! We stayed for four to five days and loved the beautiful, expansive property, peaceful atmosphere, and convenient location—approximately 15 minutes from many of St. Croix’s major attractions. A special shout-out to Mr. Clinton, who was always prompt, polite, and dependable with transportation. The staff at The Terrace restaurant were equally exceptional—always smiling, welcoming, and providing great recommendations for food, drinks, and things to do around the island. Mermaid Beach was our favorite—pristine, crystal-clear water, plenty of space to relax, and convenient access to food and drinks. We genuinely have nothing negative to say. Great hospitality, beautiful beaches, peace and quiet, and plenty of Caribbean sunshine to get extra chocolatey! 😂☀️🌴 We would absolutely return to The Buccaneer!
