The resort was beautiful but the wait staff was not happy to be there, made you feel like you were a problem. Food was just okay and over priced. Cleaning of rooms was not as expected for what you are paying and expect fees on top of whatever you are already paying. Overall beautiful beaches, but I would not stay here again based on treatment by the a majority of the staff alone.
Nope. Just don’t. The pictures should speak for themselves. More roadside motel than luxury resort. For the price - the room should not look like this. The tv did not work most of the time. Maintenance came and said they fixed it - they did not.
Food at the main restaurant is overpriced and underwhelming. The food at Beauregard’s is good - albeit overpriced. There is much better food in town.
Go to St. Barts - go anywhere else.
So, overall it was fine. I probably set my expectations too high due to cost so I was a little underwhelmed. Everything shuts down about 9pm which isn’t terrible. The food was good but not much for a teenager who wasn’t interested in a $60 Mahi Mahi. It was fine, not a ton to do that isn’t an added cost. Massage visit was great, the girl was very friendly and did a great job. Beware of bugs!! I was eaten alive by no see um bugs and I’m still paying the price days and days later. Overall I feel it’s the vibe of St. Croix. Chill, more local, no frills kind of island.
Go elsewhere.
Our room was more roadside motel than luxury resort. The resort will tell you that you should make reservations at the restaurants prior to arrival. If you have a car (and you must to go offsite) eat elsewhere. The food is average and overpriced. The food at Beauregard’s was good but also overpriced.
What you would expect for a resort
If acceptance is a rating then I did not and still do not feel like my children were accepted for trying to do yoga on the beach. Was going to go with a ‘good’ rating until my conversion with the owner/manager. I have 2 daughters-15 and 10-that regularly do yoga with me. We thought it would be fun to do it together on the beach. When we arrived at the class we were told by the instructor that it was full even though there were only 2-3 others there and 2 showed up after us and ‘kids aren’t allowed, only ages 16 and up’. Once I realized the vibe was off, she practically glared at me and my kids for having the audacity to show up to her class, I left. The ladies that arrived a little after us were allowed in. I wrote this on my review and Joel got back to me a few weeks later apologising and saying he would talk to the instructor. I sent a response back thanking him that if children aren’t allowed and that there are only a few spots that perhaps the schedule should reflect this when people show up so they’re not turned away. A week or so later I received another email this time accusing me of showing up late to a full class. It felt like I was on trial. I only wanted to point out my experience with this one person and now I’m the problem. I don’t understand why businesses ask about surveys and then work to make you feel like you did something wrong. So in summary it’s a typical resort-beautiful place, decent food yet overpriced, good food and beverage staff, clean rooms, and poorly managed activities. (I also had to call the front desk to get someone to open the snorkel gear shack because no one was in there at when they were supposed to be open). I hope the business takes this as an opportunity to work on this. I believe that’s the point of the review process.
We had a blast at the resort. Went to all 3 beaches. Found some sea glass at the last one. Beautiful room, with a balcony facing the ocean with 2 nice lounge chairs. Breakfast everyday all you can eat included, except for the gratuity fee. Check in and check out were a breeze, staff were quite warm and helpful. Massage was top notch. Would recommend to others.
**Update** I asked for the owner who the manager confirmed is local and comes on property to call me, I wanted to speak to her and explain why I didn't enjoy my stay of customer service after my stay. , No phone call or email was ever sent. No care for customer service or past guests. **
The property is stunning and we were upgraded on arrival, which made for a great first impression. Walking the grounds and watching the fire dancers was a highlight.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. If you don’t reserve restaurants before you arrive, there may be nothing available to eat that night. We arrived at 3 PM and everything was already booked.
Housekeeping and management were worse. The shower gel dispenser was broken and never replaced during our stay. At one point the water to the room stopped working in the middle of the day. Trash wasn’t removed daily and left from prior guests, and it took six attempts over two days just to get someone to sweep the sand covered floors. We eventually got a broom and swept the room OURSELVES!!
After checkout the hotel repeatedly called about a small charge they had forgotten to process. I provided the credit card information, but the wrote down the number incorrectly, then shred the number before making sure the transaction went through, and later I discovered the hotel had overcharged my card by $173. I was told it will take 7 to 10 days to correct the error. All this for a $30 dollar mistake.
Beautiful property, but the service and attention to detail simply do not match a $900 per night resort. The worst part is the manager doesn't even care when you talk to her. They already have your money, and that's all they care about.
We had a delightful stay in the beachside doubloons! The staff was so warm and friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but the beach is so wonderful it didn’t matter. They were cool, with comfortable beds. Our family of 7, with kids included, really enjoyed the self-guided activities, the food and drinks, and overall had a really enjoyable stay.
I’ve traveled to various European destinations in Mexico and South America, but I’ve never encountered a five-star hotel with such a poorly maintained system. The patio was littered with discarded boards, and the shower leaked. The housekeeping left dirty towels in the rooms, and there were even dead roaches on the floor. My children had bites on their arms and legs when they woke up in the morning, which I suspect were bed bugs. I called the hotel and notified the front desk as soon as I left the resort to prevent future guests from being exposed to the same problem. Unfortunately, the management never returned my call. To make matters worse, several female staff members in the restaurant and bar by the beach were extremely rude. Clearly not worth the money spent.

A one and done experience.
A bunch narcissistic guests who think that they are owed more than others. If you plan to get a beach chair even as early as 8 am GOOD LUCK! The resort does not seem to care or police the behavior of claiming beach chairs without physically being present encouraging those people to continue such bad behaviors of entitlement.
A SIMPLE written policy to all guest or signage would prevent such selfish behavior.
Buccaneer DO BETTER!
It was a beautiful and lovely resort. Extremely clean with breathtaking views. The breakfast buffet that was included was also very good. All staff extremely kind and helpful. We enjoyed the beach, pool, golf and the spa.
