Bought a $3000 Whirlpool appliance from Home Depot in March 2026 in anticipation for a party in April. Payment and delivery went through without a hitch. Followed the instructions to the letter for the icemaker. After 2 days it was clear that there was an issue with the ice maker itself. Called Home Depot. They said it was a “manufacturer “ issue so called Whirlpool Canada. Set me up with Appliance pros. After 4 yes 4 months the icemaker FINALLY seems to be working. The customer service from both Whirlpool as well as Appliance pros has been awful. I have wasted countless hours of my time calling for assistance without any luck. Today was a scheduled appointment and when no one showed up in the 4 hour window I called Appliance Pros only to be told that the tech was “behind “ on the last job but no one had the courtesy to let me know. 5 hours later it seems to be working. Who knows for how long. What this has taught me is 1. Don’t buy any Whirlpool appliances again. 2. Don’t buy any appliances from anyone other than Costco. Buyer beware!

Problem with my dryer
I connected with this company through Whirlpool Canada.
there was a problem with my dryer, and the problem was making noise when it is started. I talked the secretary and I explain the problem. She said the diagnostic is with tax $165.00 and I asked her if the technician open the dryer and look it inside and diagnostic and she said yes. this part was very fast taking money and booking time. the guys came to my condo and then he started the dryer and of course it makes nose then he the problem is Polly and he said the part is not available and I have to order it and I asked why you are not open dryer and look at inside and he said it is heavy and need two men and he added when I receive the part then I am coming back and your fee total is going to be $220. Pulse the part cost I said I need it as soon as possible and he said I am going to update you. A few day past and I call The Alberta Appliance Pros, and a secretary pick off the phone and she said the part order and as soon as will arrive we will let you know . Then a few day pass and I call back the whirlpool Canada this time and the secretary said your part is order and it is not arrive . I was very frustrated and I wand to cancel the repair . She hold me on the phone for over 40 minutes and in between she check me if I still hold the phone or not .
After mor than 1 hours , she give me a case number and she connected to another secretary and this secretary just said you want to cancel the service and I said yes and she said okey then I will send your invoice and I said I want my money back and she said no , we are not refunding you . again, the second secretary connected to third one with surprise this one was nice and she try to find what happened to my order and she said I am sorry your part is not any more making by whirlpool and she said why nobody told you
I asked her then I need my money back and she said no.
At end she offers me if I buy brand new they give me discount
Now I found part myself from store and the store staffed told me the whirlpool not making the poly, but they make another one that fit with your dryer and I said If it is not fit the can return it and said yes. Now I will try to find another repair company to come and fix the dryer and paid on top of waste my time and my money with Alberta Appliance Pros for the job this guy did do it.
The reason I post this that I want to help people to have some idea about this company and not fall in the terrible situation

Update: Now whirlpool will not respond to emails at all. called and asked for a manger and woman said NO.
after leaving this bad review I was in contact with whirlpool canada who assured me "the delivery company" would be in contact with me to pickup the appliance I have now had for over a month that never worked. To my NOT surprise no one has contacted me. Not worth the hassle buying Maytag. If anything is wrong you will have to scream and fight to get assistance from this company. As mentioned, brand new stove that never worked on my 5th week of possession and still cannot return nor get my money back yet. Also as mentioned, warranty repair no show on my repair appointment for my brand new broken stove. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!!!!
Bought a Maytag Stove. Came broken. Oven keeps shutting off. Called Maytag for warranty and they booked a repair with Appliance Pros+ who did not show up for my warranty repair. No phone call and no show. Returning stove. Both companies lost a customer.

I've been trying to get my ignite on range fixed for last 8 months and the technician have been sometimes coming and making excuses, sometimes coming and saying wrong part was ordered and sometimes not showing at all and cancelling the work order. When the last visit was made, they made an excuse and left when I questioned them and now they're refusing to come back and fix the issue, I'm paying for the extended warranty and they're simply refusing to do the service. This is a total scam.

Called to schedule a repair under my warrant, and 7 days later nobody even called me! After REPEATED calls to their support team they said it'll be faster if I find someone myself, and they'd reimburse me. I asked if there was a limit on the amount they'd cover in this scenario and tehy said no, full coverage. When I sent the bill, THEY SAID THEY'D ONLY COVER HALF!
GARBAGE WARRANTY!
DISHONEST STAFF!

Scheduled a call-out, in January and the washer was determined repairable. We requested the repair, paid for the service call and the part. Upon attempting to repair, it was determined that it was actually not repairable. The technician left with the brand new parts I paid for and nearly 5 months later, I am still corresponding with both Appliance Pros+ and Whirlpool with no hope of getting my money back. Disappointed is an understatement.

Poor scheduling service by Appliance Pros
I bought a whirlpool dishwasher here in Canada, and it failed within the first 2 months of operation. I called Whirlpool for warranty service, and they scheduled an appointment with theappliancepros.ca and they sent a code to my phone and scheduled an appointment for Easter Sunday 8 am - 4 pm. Easter Sunday came and went and no one showed up. I called them on the Tuesday and they explained that the scheduled appointment was just a placeholder. They couldn't give me any information about who was going to service my unit, or how to reach them. They are based in the US and I feel that the person I was talking to on the phone was not very helpful. I regret buying a Whirlpool - it seems like American brands aren't reliable and they don't care about customers.

You should probably drive more responsibly on the QEW in a branded vehicle. Pretty sure it was the guy in the middle of your primary photo there. Maybe tell him to chill. Going grossly over the speed limit and tailgating aren't really a good idea in general but extra bad idea when your logo is on your vehicle while you do it

Washing Machine does not work
The serviceman came, looked at our Maytag washing machine. He said he rebooted the machine and it should work. He said he tried in three times and it worked. We tried it once it did not work, the second time it did and that was the last time it worked. In less than 24 hours what we were told was good was no longer good for us. Trying to contact them is impossible due to their hours and they do not take complaints electronically because the email addresses are only for send out.

Unreliable and untrustworthy service
We had a terrible experience trying to get our LG dryer repaired. "Appliance Pros" claimed to offer 24/7 service, but everything about it felt like a scam. After being routed through multiple companies and phone numbers, a technician showed up in an unmarked car and misdiagnosed the problem, charging us $250 in cash. A real technician later confirmed the actual issue, which was completely different. Repeated attempts to follow up with "Appliance Pros" led to dead ends, disconnected calls, and no resolution. It seems this company connects you with unreliable third parties. Highly unprofessional and a waste of time and money. Beware.

Horrid. Do not use. No one answers the phone. No one responds to the Call Back option. Pay and book a technician the only option but no follow up. Technician gave me the wrong part to order off of Ebay (said it was the only option.) to replace my oven door glass. Wasted hundreds of dollars. No follow up.

We purchased a new house with a brand-new Whirlpool stove, but after just a few days of use, two burners stopped working. A technician visited and said parts were needed and would take about a month. After waiting a month and following up, we were told today, March 5, that the parts had arrived. However, the technician then informed us he was going on vacation and that we would have to wait until March 18 for the repair. This is extremely disappointing service for a brand-new appliance.

Don't bother
Complete garbage. Our fridge stopped working g and the place we bought bit were backed up so we arranged through whirlpool. The first guy came out and saw the cord was chewed. Said there woukd be a call back k in 48 hrs or less. Why he couldn't repair it is ridiculous to start. There was no call after more than 72 hrs so I called back. Was promised next day. The tech called and said the cord was only available in the US and woukd be almost 4 weeks at best. Were they sending it by horse? From Illinois? I called another local appliance repair and tey quoted 5 days. BIG difference . Absolutely horrible service and service.

I have a 2 year old Inglis washer that only pumps water when I tried to wash clothes. I put this info in my service request to appliance pros+. So 3 days later a tech shows up at my door unannounced. He brings nothing with him after I told them the info they needed. He checks the machine sand says it needs a control module, which I already said was the issue. For this I was charged $149 to tell me what I had told them. This is a complete scam! Then the tech goes on to say the module is $405 but it will be a month before it would be back in stock. So I'm in the same position I was in when Inglis told me to contact this company but I was milked for $149. Complete scam!
