Didn’t get a chance to create a review earlier, but on November 9 2024 a few of us
went to try out this club, since none of us never been there. I guess it depends on the music as we were expecting EDM, top 50, old school, hip hop or anything that was danceable. So we went to the smaller floor, the DJ played undanceable hardcore rap NOT hip hop but hardcore rap. I guess the DJ didn’t get the hint when only a few people were dancing and everyone was just standing there.
It was so bad they closed the floor and moved every one to the main floor which played straight Mexican music and when I mean Mexican music I meant mariachi band with the trumpets.
I could have sworn when I reviewed the event for that date it was house music and hip hop. Oh well.
Overall very spacious since there was hardly people there, the event was laughable because the main floor with mariachi music, not sure if the people were seriously dancing because of the music or just drunk dancing to any music and the drink prices are a bit insane.

Saw the sold out Pauly D show last night and had a great time. Entire staff was super friendly and the bouncers minded their own business and only got involved when needed. I felt bad for some of the ladies in line as the club has had to ban sandals due to a lawsuit or something so ladies be sure to wear heals or shoes, they won’t let you in in sandals.
Went to Temple for the first time last night Sept 19, 2025 and never again. A group of guys just minding their business got jumped by Temple’s security, and one of them even pulled a gun. Total chaos people screaming, running. Cops came but the guys got away. Hope the guys who got jumped are okay. Temple hires shady people if you care about your safety, go somewhere else!!
I went to Temple last night to see DJ Mustard and I had a awesome time and good experience from start to finish. When I walked up and showed my VIP ticket that's exactly how I was handled with care and urgency. I read reviews before going and a lot of them said the staff mainly the bouncers were rude, well the ones there last night were awesome. I laughed and joked with a couple of the guys they were very kind even gave us girls in heels a few minutes to sit while they cleared out the club so we wouldn't have to stand in the crowd tryna get out. My 1 and only complaint is it was hotter than 4 hells in there lol. VIP had fans so that helped but dang y'all get some fans for the level below VIP I bout died tryna get drinks. Awesome club I'll definitely come visit again.

A really intoxicated man groped me in line while trying to get in the club. I told the bouncer and the woman scanning tickets at the door that I was groped and almost knocked out of line and her exact words was "I didnt see it, pay or leave". I tried to find someone else to help me but no one would help me. Do not for here unless you would like to be groped and bumped into by dangerously intoxicated man that will sexusally assault you.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! Many wayyy better clubbing options in SF if you want to have a good time! If I could give less stars than 1 I would. We arrived at 10:20 pm since our guest list required us to go in before 11 pm. The outside area is soo dirty and unsafe while waiting too! We noticed the line wasn’t moving and then overheard the security guard say “hold the line” multiple times even though they just opened and were not full… quickly we realized they held the line up until 11 pm and started checking people in even though they open at 10pm. When we reached the lady with the iPad checking names for guestlist she sent us to another lady in the booth and then she sent us to someone else only to tell us that we were too late and need to pay $40 each to get in. We explained that we were in line way before 11 pm but she sarcastically said “awww but i don’t know that! aww well that’s too bad” while using a condescending tone that really showed how tasteless this place was. I put all the pieces together and noticed we were just being scammed and toyed with as a laugh by making us jump between so many people. We decided to just leave based on the treatment from the outside staff as this was not the type of vibe we would pay $40 per person for. Temple Nightclub, consider hiring staff that don’t hate their jobs and that will treat people like actual human beings and maybe you wouldn’t have so many negative reviews and people leaving for other establishments for a good time.

Unfortunately we do not control the state of San Francisco streets, and there are far worse neighborhoods to wait in line for by a long shot. The night in question wasn’t even our event. We rent the venue to outside promoters, meaning any door frustrations you have should be addressed with the people you bought tickets from, which was not us. For additional reference, when guards say “hold the line”, it’s not to scam people. It’s because the box office line is backed up and we need space between the ID checkpoint, and the box office, for people’s safety. As far as you having an issue with how old people are who work in nightlife, that’s just flat out prejudice and ageism that isn’t welcomed at our club anyhow. Music is for everyone.

I don't frequent clubs in San Francisco anymore and haven't been to this place in many years because it is probably the worst run club in the city if not the entire bay area. I was reminded of how terrible this place is when I heard they purchased the old bus station in Oakland right in my 'hood with plans to turn it into a club, community space, etc. These clowns aren't fit to run a McDonald's.
Giving 3 stars so it won't drop or raise the 3.1 rating you have. I was excited at the thought of catching Sickick's show tonight at Temple but honestly after reading the many many reviews citing racial bias and years of reviews up to less than 3 weeks ago about rude and disrespectful staff - Nah. The reviews would be getting better if something was being done to change up staff, bouncers, etc. but doesn't seem to be happening. The message it gives off is 'We honestly just don't care'. Will wait until he's playing at a better venue.
Came here to see Waka Flocka & 2 chainz on separate occasions. First time, security guard was touching my phone when she tried to scan my ticket, a lot of attitude and accusatory tone (like I was trying to sneak in with a fake ticket). Apparently their system was acting up (had been with the people before me too), no apology from the security guard though. Second time, a female patron started a physical fight with my friend and security did nothing. They just flashed their flashlights at us and moved on. They didn’t even attempt to check in on the situation or throw the patron out. Overall, the crowd is always super unfriendly and entitled. People will get upset at you for being near them as if they didn’t buy GA floor tickets to nightclub performance. Performers always come out super late and only do their set for at most an hour (if you’re lucky).
Safe your money, avoid at all cost!!
